   I’ve been going to this Firestone on Ventura Boulevard in Encino next to Ralph’s since 2017. Besides an oil change the first reason why I went there is because the dealership in San Diego told me that I needed a new brakes and I was gonna cost hundreds and hundreds of dollars, i’m OK with that. So I went to this Firestone and in 10 minutes the technician and the manager came out and said you know what your brakes are fine you still have about 80% left. I was sold. I’ve seen technicians and managers come through not many one… Maybe two I love this place. I will always bring this car here for scheduled maintenance!all the technicians are Top rate. And the manager? He knows customer service! Let’s make 2024 amazing!

   I decided to try going to the Firestone by me for an oil change and tire rotation for the first time and downloaded this app. I made an appointment on it at night for noon the next day. I got an email saying it was set and if there was a problem they would contact me and it showed on the app the appointment time also. I show up the next day and the guy at the counter told me they have to accept it first and they are all booked up. So they open at 7am and apparently nobody checked the online appointments to confirm them or inform if there was a problem. What’s the point of having the option if the shop isn’t gonna follow up!!! He said they could get to me in 30min. Fine. But then proceeded to tell me I couldn’t use the coupon I picked because my car has to have the high end oil (which costs almost $100) and also proceeded to try and get me to sign up for their credit card. I turned and walked out. All he tried to do was take advantage of me and rip me off. I went to the Mavis that I usually do that same afternoon and they took me without even having an appointment and they did it for way less and didn’t try to oversell me on something my car doesn’t need and hasn’t gotten in the past but somehow still runs just fine. NEVER going to another Firestone again and will make sure to tell friends and family they are just money hungry that try to swindle you

   I haven’t been to the shop yet, so I’m commenting on the App! I found it stressfull to use. It started out as my needing tires installed, tires I already have! But it wouldn’t allow me to request the service, so I finally selected the unknown service and left a note! The next issue was selecting a shop, I didn’t want the one selected but when I selected the one I wanted it would revert to its default. Somehow I was able to select a shop from a map, but the map didn’t let you make a selection/very stupid system! After skipping it and using it’d default I was able to edit the selected shop, but had to re -enter my instructions! I had at the start selected a Saturday date, which I thought was accepted, but again it defaulted to a different date! It gave me the option to change the date but the page didn’t give me the means!! Frustrated, I bit the bullet and went with the date it gave me! I had to make several changes so I could use their date! I just hope their work is better than their website!! They need a professional to fix the site, it’s bad news! I only wish I could have just called them and they handled the details! What a horrible experience, and I am not by any means a “Karen”!!

4. 4/5Recommended Maintenance

   I had a recommended fuel system cleaning performed and coolant flush when I took my car in for other maintenance. Additionally, I was told I had a bad wheel bearing that was causing my alignment problem. Ever since the fuel flush my engine has been vibrating excessively. Additionally, I received an engine over temp warning all of a sudden since having the recommended coolant flush completed. For the engine temp problem I was told my radiator was damaged and needed to be replaced. Plus that would drive another paid coolant flush. On top of that, I was told that the bearing that was supposedly replaced previously was still bad and had to be replaced again. When I picked my car up after the repairs I asked to see the radiator damage, but they weren’t able not able to show me the damage on the old radiator. I asked if I could take the old radiator but was told I couldn’t take it either. I asked if they could send me pictures later of the damage but was told no because they have to scrap it on the day of. Lastly, my car still pulls to the left and the engine vibrates excessively.

5. 1/5Definitely NOT COMPLETE care like they so proudly advertise

   Recently had 3 terrible encounters with Firestone Complete Auto Care. Had an appointment to replace alternator where they said my battery that was just bought and replaced with a brand new battery. Worst case scenario my battery could have been replaced with a new on under warranty but they kept the old battery not allowing me that option. 2nd encounter was for a front break replacement. Appointment was scheduled at charlotte ave store but when I arrived for appointment they said they wouldn’t be able to get to it that day because they only had one technician working, what’s the point of scheduling an appointment then? Had to move it to another store and ended up paying more then initially estimated. 3rd encounter was to have tires replaced and alignment done. Dropped car off on scheduled appointment day to again be told they couldn’t get to it that day so I left it over night to be done the next day. Went to pick it up next day at end of day and was told it wasn’t done because they didn’t have any open bays, two days with car and unable to complete a simple all tire change and alignment. Terrible service if you ask me….0 Stars

   this review is mainly based on the app itself and its inaccurate scheduling, not Firestone as a company or its employees because they are excellent. they really need to fix the app giving you false times for services because every time I try to schedule it gets automatically rescheduled or I get a phone call saying it's not available. so frankly it's been useless for scheduling for me thus far.
