  1. 1/5Glitchy? Or just a scam?

Not sure if this is just a bad app or if it’s a full on scam… when I first downloaded and used the app I was delighted to see a “$7 for 4 hours” option—a great deal for an ideal parking location. However, when I went to check out the total (before tax) was inexplicably $14. Since we had already parked we went ahead and paid that amount, but no explanation was given as to the increased amount and there was no easy way to flag the issue to any sort of customer service. After that experience I avoided parking in their lots, but later found myself in a situation where a Premium Parking lot was the only option… imagine my surprise when, after paying their exorbitant fee, I received a “ticket” in the mail saying, based on pictures of my license plate, I had not paid for the parking. After spending WAY too much time figuring out how to contact customer service (contact information is not included in receipts, so you have to dig around online) I was told I had in fact paid, but I still had to pay a $15 convenience fee to cover costs for contesting their “ticket”. Their “customer service” agents wee unable or unwilling to provide any clarity into why the ticket was issued, how a private company was able to utilize license plate data to issue a ticket, or why someone who paid their fee must pay an additional fee to clear up the issue. I was told that a supervisor would call me back to address the issues but have yet to hear from them. All in all, avoid Premium Parking whenever you can.

  2. 4/5Works very well for me...

I have been parking with Premium one day per week for the past 12 weeks and it has been a very good experience for me. I use the app which works great and I utilize the Early Bird parking. I also use a credit card for the charges. When the time I’ve paid for is nearing expiration, I receive a text message notifying me and offering to add more time if needed. It is very easy, simple, and consistently works well for me. I’ve only had one problem, which is one day the early bird option was not setting the time correctly (only gave 2 or 3 hours for the early bird price), I secured it anyway and then called them. The girl I spoke with was very pleasant and knowledgeable and explained they were having a glitch in the system and corrected my end time immediately. I was then able to open the app and could see that the time had been adjusted. I will never hesitate to use Premium; my two cents...

  3. 3/5Some changes would make this app AMAZING

I have to use this app because my university has it for our parking garage and spots that don’t require a permit. It’s super easy to use sends you reminders for your parking. The only thing truly frustrating is that you can only add time in hour increments. Sometimes I only need to add like 20 minutes because class is running over and I need to sprint to my car to make it. Paying for an entire hour is insane I’d rather risk getting a ticket. Also sometimes classes end early. So I’ll have paid for two hours and only used maybe 30/45 minutes. And there’s no way to change it or get a refund for the time I’m not using. I spend so much money on this app it would be better if it didn’t take advantage of struggling students just trying to make it to class.

  4. 1/5Still a sham

This company is still a sham. Don't park where you see their sign if you plan on being an average person and coming back a few minutes late to your meter. Me and friends wanted to check out one store in the downtown New Orleans area. We didn't know exactly where the store was, so we spent a few extra minutes walking there and back. paid $25 to park for 30 minutes, came back a few minutes after to find their "enforcer" putting a boot on my car. Despite the sign five feet away from my car saying maximum charge for boot was $90, ended up paying $135 for some "flat rate" to compensate for "another car not being able to park there"(despite multiple other spaces being available in the lot). Also left my bank account with 2 weird charges which was very worrying, but thankfully everything came out even. Better to waste your time finding street parking than to waste your time AND money paying $155 to park for 45 minutes and get booted. There are people watching for you to be a minute late back to your car so they can boot it.

  5. 4/5Getting a hold of them

New Review: I appreciate the company reaching out and refunding the purchase Old Review: I was in Louisiana the week of Thanksgiving and accidentally purchased parking at two spots at the same exact time (That’s on me) I contacted their customer service support immediately over chat, no one answered until three hours later because I had left a bad review on the survey. When I was called about it they stated that they could not give me a refund because I had to use Apple Pay on the app, and then I had to fill out a form to receive my refund. I filled out the form, they were supposed to reach out back to me within 10 days, it’s been a month and a half. I contacted them last week and someone said on the phone that they would put a note on my account so I would be called back. I have yet to be called back.
