  1. 5/5Support was excellent - they made many attempts to contact me

MY MARCH 2023 UPDATE BACK TO 5 STARTS. …and not only that, they fixed the problem in an update and the iPad app runs at least as well as before. Thank you for your attention and care of your app which is very valuable to me and countless millions of other people. COMMENTARY ABOUT THE FREE TIER REDUCTION It’s a shame since being acquired by Intuit you have reduced the free tier benefits. I hope this is not a slow death march to forcing a paid account in the future. Please remember all of the small arts festivals and gatherings and communities who make small to no profit to bring valuable information and programming to their communities…we’ll always need a free tier in order to mass communicate. I hope you’ll see your free offering as the important philanthropic work it is…and that your philanthropy begets more philanthropy. COMMENTARY ABOUT GETTING HELP FOR NON-PAID ACCOUNTS While it was not straightforward how to contact for support without a paid account - a feature I hope they will improve - I was able to get attention by contacting sales. I hope they can see this is not the most efficient approach. MY OLD REVIEW PRIOR TO MARCH 2023 I can’t contact your for support unless I have a paid account, and I could not find any other way to inform you that the latest update has broken photo import from apple photos on iPad. I’m running iPad pro 2018 latest operating system. Also, it’s pretty unkind to not have support for your free tier customers. After all, when something is broken we would like to be able to tell you.

  2. 1/5Account recovery team is incompetent and hijacking my account, while still billing me every month.

If you do not want your business interrupted via your email management and scheduling that needs to go out, DO NOT USE MAILCHIMP!! They offered a discount on my bill each month if I set up additional security through two factor authentication, which is a third-party app for “extra security.” My two factor authentication app disconnected from my MailChimp account and is now not working. I am not able to access my account. The account recovery team has requested I answer quite a number of questions, some of which are unreasonable. That being said, I have provided them proof. Proof of payment, my last email billing confirmation receipt and the last four digits of my credit card that they have on file and expiration date. In addition, I have provided them with my email that’s associated with the account and one of my domains that is associated with the account. They are asking me questions like what was the last action I took when I logged in. I logged in several months ago. I don’t remember my last action. Maybe I tried to send an email, maybe I downloaded a list to excel spreadsheet. I don’t remember. That’s not something that I take note of and write down. I go in, I do what I need to do, and I get out. I don’t take note of exact actions every single time I go into that account, nor was I aware that I needed to in the event I may need to prove it later. What more proof do they need!? I need to get into my account today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. 1/5Free account and no desktop? Don’t bother.

I have a free account because I have a very small list. I also run my business entirely from my ipad, which is generally not a problem… except for Mailchimp. The browser-based campaign builder doesn’t function properly (can’t drag content blocks into the layout), and the app version doesn’t offer those content blocks at all and has an extremely limited interface. Even that doesn’t work half the time. As a free account I’m not allowed to contact support at all. At this point, instead of staying with Mailchimp to grow my business to a point where I need a paid account, it makes a lot more sense to go get a paid account elsewhere. I get it, you’re not profiting off me, but if you’re not going to offer a functional product or any help whatsoever to free accounts, just don’t offer free accounts. As for Mailchimp’s invitation for me to contact them… why? Did you create a functional iPad app in the last week? Did you reconsider your entire pricing structure? Has anything relevant to my review changed? Odds are, no, nothing whatsoever has changed and you have nothing to offer me. You just want to be seen publicly looking like you want to help. But it’s a crock. Unless you can tell me specifically what you can offer me if I were to contact you- tell me here, publicly- there’s no point in wasting yet more of my time.

  4. 1/5The Block my Account from sending emails For No Reason

I got the service to email my investors about new homes on the market. After only 2 campaigns Mailchimp decided to block my account. I didn’t break any rules whatsoever and I feel this is a disservice to me and my clients. No valuable explanation to why they done so. I will go back to constant contact because it’s better and they don’t block your emails for no reason. I give this service 1 star out of 5 because they don’t properly vet customers before blocking them, because if they did I wouldn’t be blocked right now. This is unacceptable and I will be sure to tell all my colleagues NOT to download this app and use CONSTANT CONTACT over this app. I’m mad I spent so much time adding my contacts and creating campaigns only to not be able to fully utilize the app. This app should just go out of business because it is discriminatory towards certain people and it is unfair with its rule. For one my campaigns are not spam, all my email contacts are subscribers to my email list so there shouldn’t be any problems. Mail chimps customer service is highly unresponsive to my complaints no reply or nothing! This service doesn’t even deserve one star!! DOWNLOAD CONSTANT CONTACTS I repeat DOWNLOAD CONSTANT CONTACTS !!! It’s waaaaaaaay better and not discriminatory towards its users!!

  5. 3/5A Good Start

I recently took over as my religious organization’s newsletter editor where we frequently use MailChimp to contact members of our congregation. Since I’m still in my mid-20s, I figured that downloading this app would work better for adding things quickly at events, while I’m out and about, or need to check something during my break at my day job. While this app is great for checking to see what articles or other information we still need to add while I’m away from my computer, it’s not the best for writing or formatting the newsletter. Longer articles (or anything more than two or three paragraphs, to be honest) that I’m working on are often obscured by the keyboard while I’m trying to add something to them, which is unfortunate. I’ve also almost ended up sending mailings early due to the position of the ‘confirm and send’ button while trying to edit one of the newsletters. Most of the time I end up having to do most of the major changes on my computer because of how this app ends up working. I won’t be deleting this app (as it is still helpful for at-a-glance updates), but it definitely could use some improvements.

  2. 5/5

I've been using MailChimp since December 2012. We sent three emails a week to five separate territories similar yet unique content. Is it perfect? no. In 14 years we have had two negative. comments.

we love the mailchimp app for our small business, but unfortunately recently we are having issues with replicating emails. Despite entering the new recipient details, it still sends to the original recipient. it used to work wonderfully, replicate - new recipient - send, but now it looks like we may need to redesign everything update - i have emailed Mailchimp support and no reply. its really frustrating
