1. 5/5Needs more of learning tools

   I really love the concept and variety of ways in which you can learn a spoken language with this app. I also use lingo clips. This app is better than lingo clips in many ways. I am studying Portuguese from Portugal my only complaint is that more than 90 percent of songs available from Portugal do not have any further learning tools available. It only has the basic songs with lyrics and translations available. I am on the fence on wether to keep my subscription. If you guys could fix this and the way we are able to view the app. I would like to be able to use it in landscape mode as well. It would be preferable. If you were able to fix these things I will give you a 5 star rating and drop my lingo clips subscription. You have a much better product for learning going on. I love that you allow us to request songs or artists to be added as well. Can you add Nininho vaz Maia? I love his music!

2. 5/5Learned a TON

   I am an intermediate Spanish speaker mainly learned it from speaking, so I don't know if I ever say things right I literally have learned more Spanish and 24 hours than I probably have in the last five years using this app. Been able to go back and review your things I was always writing stuff down in a notebook and I work with a lot of Latinas so I can practice and questions the next day. Literally learned a massive amount of Spanish after just like five songs. Love love love - I'm hyper focused so I am using it in combination with an online dictionary. That's super helpful. You definitely need to supplement it for formal or true songs that don't have so much slang. I would give six stars if they had desfado by Ana Mauro with it being her number one song Portuguese, and more bar songs in Spanish like Paloma negra which are just as important as pop haha

3. 5/5Reconnecting to Spanish

   I used to work abroad in Central and South America before the pandemic and was learning Spanish by immersion after a gap in time learning the basics of the language in college, then was laid off during the pandemic and lost that connection to learning Spanish. LyricFluent has provided me with a fun and effective learning experience as I take in lyrics in a focused learning session that is then reinforced as I listen to the artist as I go about my day. I have found it to be far more effective than hopping back into textbooks or using other apps like Duolingo that just force memorization in a more rigid way.

4. 4/5Has a Lot of Potential

   A very motivating way to learn, especially if you’re already listening to music sung in a foreign language. I just wish the search functionality was more reliable. Very often it doesn’t retrieve any results even for songs or artists I’ve already studied on the app. The selection of music is also rather limited if you’re not sticking with the most popular global artists. I do like that you can request music to be added! Finally, the speaking lesson could be improved - there are some words in English that I can’t even pass maybe due to a glitch? This app had enough potential for me to give the year subscription a try. I just hope they fix these issues within the next 12 months or else I probably wont renew.

5. 1/5misleading charge

   When I first downloaded the app, it required me to choose a plan before being able to use any of the features. The main page offered a 7 day free trial and $60/year, so I went to exit out and it popped up with a message basically saying “Wait! What about $30/year?” and I thought that a 7 day free trial + $30/year seemed reasonable, so I accepted, but then realized that I was immediately charged the $30 and got no free trial period. I reached out to the app’s support team via email twice with all of my account information and explaining the situation requesting help with a refund immediately and have not used it since, and I followed up with them again when I never got a response, and I still have not heard back. I think the charge was misleading and I didn’t enjoy the app’s features enough to make it worthwhile for a year’s subscription
