1. 5/5I love this app!!

   I’ve tried tons of diff apps for learning diff languages over the years but none of them ever stuck bc the methods they use are very difficult for me to remain consistent with. I found out about this app on TikTok and I’m so thankful because already it’s made me feel so excited to keep learning each day and I greatly appreciate the reassurances and explanations throughout the lessons. I also appreciate the fact that there’s no AI, that’s a hugely important factor on which app I’m willing to support, so thank you Palteca for that!! This learning style feels so much more immersive and it’s very easy to understand. The balance of different ways to learn feels perfect in my opinion and really helps to connect you to the language better than translating it straight in your head, which I’ve never seen before from a language learning app!!

2. 2/5Cool concept, but not entirely accurate delivery

   I absolutely love the concept behind this app and I believe it has a lot of potential, but it has some inaccuracies in the pronunciation help part. It gave me the word “hijo” and after saying it back it gave me a score of 95 but told me, “Just remember to pronounce the H sound at the beginning of the word.” You would never pronounce the h in hijo. It’s completely silent. Also, it has some difficulty with words that have “sci” or “sce” in them, like “indiscernible,” telling you to make sure to pronounce the s and the c. They make exactly the same sound in this context and are blended together for one s sound, unless you are speaking a ceceo dialect. Lastly, it gave me the word sibilo, and every time I said sibilo it told me I was wrong because I had said civilo. Again, the s and the c make exactly the same sound in this context in most latin American dialects and the v and the b make the same sound in I’m pretty sure every dialect of spanish. The first two sound like problems with AI that just spit random stuff at you, but the last one is because it listens for words and not individual sounds.

3. 1/5Misleading Experience

   I downloaded Palteca after seeing it on TikTok and was genuinely excited. Learning Spanish has been a goal of mine for a long time, and this app looked like it could finally help me stay committed. The setup process is lengthy and asks a lot of questions, making it feel like you’re about to start a personalized learning journey. Unfortunately, after spending all that time setting everything up, I quickly realized that almost everything useful is locked behind a paywall. It felt like the app built up excitement only to tell me I had to pay before I could actually learn anything. Even the one-week free trial doesn’t seem worth it because that’s barely enough time to make meaningful progress or decide if the program works for you. What disappointed me most is that I came in motivated and hopeful. I thought I’d finally found a way to start accomplishing my dream of learning Spanish, but instead I felt shut out almost immediately. The app may be good for people willing to pay tons, but for someone looking to try it out first, the experience was frustrating and discouraging.

4. 5/5The best language learning app ever!!!

   I actually enjoy using Palteca. It feels very different from a lot of language learning apps because it focuses on helping you actually understand and use Spanish in real life situations and not just memorize random vocabulary. The lessons feel thoughtful, practical, and engaging, and I find myself retaining much more than I initially expected! Once you start using the app you’ll see so much care clearly goes into the app. It feels like it was designed by people who truly understand the language learning process. I also want to mention that their customer service has been wonderful. They’re responsive, kind, and genuinely helpful, and makes you feel valued as a user. That level of attention makes a big difference and has made my experience with Palteca even better!!!

5. 5/5Best Spanish Learning App

   I have tried almost every language app you can think of. The thing that makes this app different is that it puts you in real life scenarios. It will have clips of real people talking and asking questions, that you will learn how to respond to. I always felt like the best way of learning Spanish is practicing by speaking it with others. But how do you do that when you don’t know many people around you that speak Spanish? This app gives you just that! This is the most I have ever retained the Spanish I’ve learned. So thankful that I found Palteca! If you were hesitant on this app, please just give it a try. It will not let you down!
