As a seasoned and avid crocheter I was intrigued by this app. I tried the free trial and have some thoughts. First and main issue is the price point. I use Google drive and literally have hundreds of patterns. It’s free and has always worked well to keep them organized. I do appreciate the advanced options of StitchCraft for organizing, such as folders, pictures, to-do lists and so on. But honestly I don’t see myself using that. And for $30 a year?? That’s way too steep. Maybe for lifetime use, but yearly is outrageous. Second issue I had was connecting to outside apps such as Google drive. It failed to connect and I could not import over anything from my Drive. That was a major issue. I did successfully import a few patterns from Files but that was it. Now I will say aesthetically it’s very neat and tidy and I do appreciate the options for each pattern including yarn stash tracking and pictures. I think this app does have a lot of potential, but needs more work. I cancelled my free trial.

2/5Frustrating cause I wanna love it.
Since I wasn’t able to cancel the free trial with this on time. I am unfortunately stuck with a poor running service. I’m disappointed. This app like many others have already stated, THIS HAS POTENTIAL to be a great app for crocheting and knitting. But it’s so laggy and unresponsive. Even with the iOS required update. This app still doesn’t run to the potential I think it should when I literally am stuck with this now for a year! It takes so long to get into work mode for a pattern and even when you do, you can’t actually time yourself because the clock makes the app run so bad that you can hardly scroll, let alone add a count to your counter. I really wanted to fall in love with this app and it be the ultimate app for my crochet projects. But unfortunately it’s fallen extremely short. I do love the notes and progress features, as well as the stash pile feature so you know what you have in front of your face instead of digging through skeins. So please developers, if you’re going to charge people for this app. Make it a luxurious experience it was truly meant to be. Thank you for reading this rant. :)

5/5Progressing into an awesome app.
Updating my previous review. They have worked hard to fix a lot of the things that were really holding it back. It still needs work with translating complex patterns into smart patterns but it’s better than it was. It has all the features I want except a way to mark your spot when you’re using the pdf viewer. Other than that it’s the best app available right now. The developers are constantly releasing updates so I am confident this will be the best app available for a long time. Great work! Old review: This app has so much potential. It’s an amazing idea and really does combine all of the best features. The problem is they don’t work very well. The smart patterns don’t translate more complex patterns very well. And the app it’s self has a very long lag time and is not responsive. It feels clunky compared to other apps. I am still planning to keep my subscription because I think the app is improving and with time they will be able to make it work.

3/5Great app with fantastic features - but major issues with sync and support
Loopsy is an amazing app with thoughtful features and a really intuitive layout. I genuinely love how it’s designed and how easy it is to track patterns, yarn, and projects. From a functionality standpoint, it’s one of the best crafting apps I’ve used. Unfortunately, the biggest issue I’m running into is cloud sync and support. The app states there is no login because it uses Apple ID for syncing across devices. I use three Apple devices under the same Apple ID, yet nothing syncs properly. My iPhone has my patterns, my work iPad has my yarn stash, and my personal iPad has nothing synced at all. Even my iPhone and work iPad won’t sync with each other. I’ve reached out to support via email and text more than 10 times and have only received two responses. So far, nothing has been resolved or fixed. That lack of follow-through has been really disappointing. I want this app to work because I truly love it, but paying for premium doesn’t make sense when one of the core advertised features—cloud sync—doesn’t function reliably. I’m getting close to requesting a refund if this continues, which is frustrating because this app has so much potential. If the sync issues were resolved and support more responsive, this would easily be a top-tier app.

I absolutely love this app. As someone with a ridiculous number of crochet patterns and projects going at any given time, Loopsy has been a game changer for me. The ability to upload, organize, and tag all of my patterns in one place is incredible. I no longer have to dig through folders or emails trying to find something. The smart pattern creator is also fantastic because it helps me keep track of exactly where I am in a project. What really surprised me is how well it works for managing actual projects and orders. I can track pieces I need to complete, set due dates, and stay organized without juggling multiple apps or notes. Work Mode might be my favorite feature. I’ve finally been able to easily time how long my projects take, which helps me understand the real time investment behind the pieces I sell. While I’m in Work Mode I can also pull up the PDF of the pattern and even annotate on it if I need to, which makes working through a pattern so much easier. The yarn stash feature is also super convenient. Being able to scan barcodes to add yarn makes it ridiculously easy to track what I have, especially for larger brands. Overall, it’s an incredibly useful tool for makers. I’m excited to see where the app goes from here because it’s already such a great tool.

          "body": "As a seasoned and avid crocheter I was intrigued by this app. I tried the free trial and have some thoughts. First and main issue is the price point. I use Google drive and literally have hundreds of patterns. It’s free and has always worked well to keep them organized. I do appreciate the advanced options of StitchCraft for organizing, such as folders, pictures, to-do lists and so on. But honestly I don’t see myself using that. And for $30 a year?? That’s way too steep. Maybe for lifetime use, but yearly is outrageous. Second issue I had was connecting to outside apps such as Google drive. It failed to connect and I could not import over anything from my Drive. That was a major issue. I did successfully import a few patterns from Files but that was it. Now I will say aesthetically it’s very neat and tidy and I do appreciate the options for each pattern including yarn stash tracking and pictures. I think this app does have a lot of potential, but needs more work. I cancelled my free trial.",

          "body": "Since I wasn’t able to cancel the free trial with this on time. I am unfortunately stuck with a poor running service. I’m disappointed. This app like many others have already stated, THIS HAS POTENTIAL to be a great app for crocheting and knitting. But it’s so laggy and unresponsive. Even with the iOS required update. This app still doesn’t run to the potential I think it should when I literally am stuck with this now for a year! It takes so long to get into work mode for a pattern and even when you do, you can’t actually time yourself because the clock makes the app run so bad that you can hardly scroll, let alone add a count to your counter. I really wanted to fall in love with this app and it be the ultimate app for my crochet projects. But unfortunately it’s fallen extremely short. I do love the notes and progress features, as well as the stash pile feature so you know what you have in front of your face instead of digging through skeins. So please developers, if you’re going to charge people for this app. Make it a luxurious experience it was truly meant to be. Thank you for reading this rant. :)",

          "body": "Updating my previous review. They have worked hard to fix a lot of the things that were really holding it back. It still needs work with translating complex patterns into smart patterns but it’s better than it was. It has all the features I want except a way to mark your spot when you’re using the pdf viewer. Other than that it’s the best app available right now. The developers are constantly releasing updates so I am confident this will be the best app available for a long time. Great work! Old review: This app has so much potential. It’s an amazing idea and really does combine all of the best features. The problem is they don’t work very well. The smart patterns don’t translate more complex patterns very well. And the app it’s self has a very long lag time and is not responsive. It feels clunky compared to other apps. I am still planning to keep my subscription because I think the app is improving and with time they will be able to make it work.",

          "body": "Loopsy is an amazing app with thoughtful features and a really intuitive layout. I genuinely love how it’s designed and how easy it is to track patterns, yarn, and projects. From a functionality standpoint, it’s one of the best crafting apps I’ve used. Unfortunately, the biggest issue I’m running into is cloud sync and support. The app states there is no login because it uses Apple ID for syncing across devices. I use three Apple devices under the same Apple ID, yet nothing syncs properly. My iPhone has my patterns, my work iPad has my yarn stash, and my personal iPad has nothing synced at all. Even my iPhone and work iPad won’t sync with each other. I’ve reached out to support via email and text more than 10 times and have only received two responses. So far, nothing has been resolved or fixed. That lack of follow-through has been really disappointing. I want this app to work because I truly love it, but paying for premium doesn’t make sense when one of the core advertised features—cloud sync—doesn’t function reliably. I’m getting close to requesting a refund if this continues, which is frustrating because this app has so much potential. If the sync issues were resolved and support more responsive, this would easily be a top-tier app.",

          "body": "I absolutely love this app. As someone with a ridiculous number of crochet patterns and projects going at any given time, Loopsy has been a game changer for me. The ability to upload, organize, and tag all of my patterns in one place is incredible. I no longer have to dig through folders or emails trying to find something. The smart pattern creator is also fantastic because it helps me keep track of exactly where I am in a project. What really surprised me is how well it works for managing actual projects and orders. I can track pieces I need to complete, set due dates, and stay organized without juggling multiple apps or notes. Work Mode might be my favorite feature. I’ve finally been able to easily time how long my projects take, which helps me understand the real time investment behind the pieces I sell. While I’m in Work Mode I can also pull up the PDF of the pattern and even annotate on it if I need to, which makes working through a pattern so much easier. The yarn stash feature is also super convenient. Being able to scan barcodes to add yarn makes it ridiculously easy to track what I have, especially for larger brands. Overall, it’s an incredibly useful tool for makers. I’m excited to see where the app goes from here because it’s already such a great tool.",
