   This app needs new updates (or even better yet, new developers). Four things that have been broken for a long time: 1) In-App/Online coupons either give error messages or else they don’t adjust the total price per said discount amount 2) Saved payment methods (cards) don’t work therefore you have to enter in the card info again and again for each new order (and there’s no Apple Pay option which is stupid considering this is an iOS app) 3) Once payment has been accepted then the app displays confirmation of the previous order that was made, not the current order. You do get an email sent with the current order info and confirmation but the confirmation displayed in-app is always the previous order you made. Which leads me to the fourth problem: 4) The first time this happened I tried to cancel the order in-app (because I saw confirmation for my previous order which was not my current order, so I assumed the order was wrong) but there is no way to cancel an order in-app. I then tried to find a phone number for the local LJS but got sent to a generic routing system that gave no options for reaching LJS. And there is no number online to reach the LJS company. So it is literally impossible to cancel an order once it has been paid for, which is again stupid and bad business practice. There are probably other issues with this app (or their website) as it is clear that LJS is lagging in basic in-app/online user experience 101. What a mess.

   It’s completely absurd that in the year 2024 a corporation cannot hire someone to design an app that has at least basic functionality. When trying to place an order, I accidentally added a second item I only wanted one of but the app would not allow me to delete that extra item. In fact, every time I hit the “subtract” button it just added another item. So I closed the app & restarted it, then added my items again and placed the order, though the app never gave me any explicit confirmation that the order had been placed. When I tried to look at the orders tab to see if it had gone through, it was completely blank. When I tried to check the website, it showed multiple orders, including the one I never placed containing half a dozen sides of hush puppies from the app adding them every time I tried to delete them. By the way, I accidentally added a second side of hush puppies while trying to add more than one packet of tartar sauce because I can only add one at a time. Anyway, I finally had to pull up the app for my credit card to confirm the order had gone through. Obviously a non-functional app is hardly life altering, but why did you even bother to offer it and ordering via the web if you don’t even care to make those options functional?

3. 1/5App was fine but….

   So my husband was really craving some long John silvers. the one near our house has shut down. While he is in the hospital at the moment and we were over by where the long John Silvers is so I got the app and ordered our food. Spent $40 on two people to eat. first of all very expensive second of all I had to go back to the store because when I picked up my order, & I had specifically asked the lady if there was malt vinegar in there & if there was ketchup in there, & yes she tells me. Well I get back to the hospital and unpacked the food and lo and behold my order is not even in there. My extra side I ordered was not in there & no malt vinegar, no ketchup (which I selected in the app)and had to drive all the way back to the store just so that I could get the food that I wanted to eat and the condiments for my husband to eat his. now they replaced it and gave me what I was owed, but that was a major inconvenience so make sure you check your bag before you leave the store because they’ll tell you one thing but it’ll be another. PS the app is fine easy to navigate through. I got you five dollars off so that is good. The service is iffy.

   I only get a 30 minute lunch at work and Long John Silvers is only a minute from my workplace so I figured I would order on the app to save some time. Big mistake! Placed the order and it said order would be ready in 10 minutes from the time I placed it. Well so I arrive in the drive thru to pick up my order and was informed that they never received it . I showed them on the app displaying the correct restaurant address, order # , and all those details but was informed that they couldn’t give me the order until they received it on their computer. I literally had all the verifying information on the app but they refused to complete the order so I literally wasted my entire lunch waiting . They still hadn’t received my order so I wanted the order cancelled and was informed that I had to contact customer support to get that done. So I wasted my lunch, left angry and hungry, and poorer because the restaurant couldn’t complete or even cancel my order. I have never had this happen to me before on a dining app. Never again will I use this app and deleting it .

   Downloaded the app hoping to gain rewards as there are times we spend over$100 when ordering for the entire family. My last mobile order didn’t come through to the store I went to with friends. So I ordered at the register. There is no way to scan receipts for rewards credits. After eating my awesome meal and leaving , I checked my email and saw an emailed receipt confirming my mobile order and my bank showed 2 charges. I’ve sent multiple messages on the website for “contact me” that still remain unanswered. And my app shows that I have a pending order for a previous order that I did pick up and receive. I just want some help and can’t seem to get it. I did return to the store and the manager was gracious and understanding and filled my order that I didn’t receive even though it had been a week since my visit. . . I just wish corporate cared as much about customer satisfaction as much as their employees do.
