2/5I did receive some support but after complaining about not receiving any to the BBB
So I made a claim for legal assistance for id restoration services provided with my plan. After I was given information about what would happen within 48 hours it was never fulfilled by LifeLock. I was told that restoration specialist would help me resolve my issues with 48 hours but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. I had to literally call up again and again because employees whom hear and notate the claims information would not connect me to a restoration specialist insisting that they could be the ones to help me instead of connecting me with a restoration specialist. I ultimately attempted to contact the BETTER BUSINESS BURUEA and it wasn’t until then that they provided the number for the direct line to a R.S. Why is it that no one really takes there job serious when asked about certain issues and why do I have to be connected to someone on the other side of the world that doesn’t really care about the severity of my situation, they just run me around in circles from department to department with out ever actually ever getting things done. Although when I was able to get restoration help I was indeed helped by the individual assigned to my case and he was in fact very helpful and patient unlike the reps that answer the phone on a regular basis. Unfortunately we couldn’t resolve the full spectrum of issues that I currently am facing and still need help but I’m afraid to call because I don’t want to have to go through this again. If only I could actually get some actual assistance I would ever recommend anyone trying to restore their identity with LifeLock.

2/5It’s been rough so far
I’m not sure what the issue is but as of 12/4 I am writing this due to the terrible experience I’ve had in signing up for the service. When signing up, the website glitched out and sent me back to the main page which made me think I was putting my info in on a phishing browser. I double checked and nope the domain is indeed Lifelocks…so to make things easier on myself, or so I thought, I contacted their sales department. The first sales rep sent me to India after I got frustrated with her for asking for my social several times and putting it in wrong. The last sales rep to help me apparently didn’t sign me up for credit monitoring when I told her exactly what I was looking at online. This, according to their abysmal customer support who was wrong as I was able to sign myself for credit monitoring but can’t sign up my wife. They tried to advise me I needed to cancel my subscription and repurchase which would erase all info I had entered in to be monitored, about an hour of work. Whilst trying to work towards a solution with their customer service department, I encountered a very rude CSR who forgot to mute herself and started cussing me in Hindi. Unbelievable, I was discounted for these issues but I can’t let it go now as they’ve continued to make mistake after mistake in a VERY SENSITIVE PROCESS. I will be adjusting this review after their escalation team contacts me.

2/5OK
I got this for a relatively reasonable price via my workplace benefits. The “street price” is WAY too high and their renewal increases make them look like a scammy company. The web interface is nice, but the app is a little clunky, but useable. I have all app notifications turned off solely because of their stupid annoying “you’ve been logged out after 15 minutes of inactivity, but we’re still protecting you” notification. If you insist on annoying people with it, at least give an option to turn it off separately without just disabling all notifications like I did (because that’s how much it annoys me to constantly see it). I could use more than the allotted 10 bank accounts for monitoring, but I made do. I don’t use the Financial Monitoring because I’m not going to give Yodlee the “keys to my castle”. I also don’t use the Privacy Assistant Monitor because having them send my email addresses and phone numbers to scummy data brokers in removal requests completely defeats the point of protecting my critical personal information. This is the 4th identity monitoring service that I’ve tried and it’s disappointing that they all have substantial issues if you look too closely at what they really do, and it’s impossible to know how well they really work until something goes wrong. I’m at the point where I’ll either make do with LifeLock or just go without any of them and just continue with Optery for my data broker removals.

1/5Frequent bugs and inconsistent performance
What? The VPN isn’t working again? High call volume and expanded wait times for customer service? With this kind of service, it is difficult for the customer to know what is happening other than VPN functionality. It is not certain if it is working through. Later: I had planned to remark about how disorganized the customer to company communicate stream was, how poorly functioning and formatted the apps were, etc. But maybe the complete inability to interact with the company is, in this case the Norton 360 with LifeLock, is not by accident but is on purpose. EVERY time, I follow the instructions -whether thru app, on website, phone call, chat, request call, etc. and EVERY time - you get just LifeLock only, and EVERY time, even when I explain the persistent problem up front, and specify what company, even what few people I need to talk to, the history of not being able to access Norton360/LifeLock, and EVERY time, the agent reassures me that they understand, then gathers very confidential information, then finally announces they can’t help me or transfer me or communicate with the right people because they are LifeLock, not Norton 360/LifeLock. I am not being hyperbolic. EVERY time. 100% In about 24 hours, someone from Norton 360/Lifelock will call, reassure me, give me instructions, but again, EVERY time, it will happen as before. Why? I don’t know, all I know is it happens exactly that way, no matter. Customer traffic all goes to a different company that is consistent in reassuring understanding while keeping me on phone while they gather info, then announce that they can’t help, no matter how I try not to.

4/5Norton LifeLock
Not sure I am loving the change from LifeLock to Norton. At least with LifeLock all of my accounts were being monitored. When the change to Norton LifeLock I thought I would have the best of both worlds, however Norton LL can’t seem to monitor 4 of my accounts (listed as “Disconnected Accounts”) and request me to update and monitor them manually. Norton does list the disclaimer that they are not able to monitor all accounts, however, my question is “why”? If they took over from LifeLock (LL) and LL could handle these accounts, why are they having difficulty? Also, I am unable to unfreeze one of my credit accounts In “Identity Lock”. It always shows “Unavailable Try Again”. This would be a great feature if you are trying to purchase a car or large ticket item and they want to check your credit, but not if you can’t gain access to the feature to unfreeze or freeze your account. The jury is still out on for me on this company merge.
