5/5WOW
I am impressed! I honestly cannot recommend this app enough. After a few days, I feel much more confident in my conversational skills. The AI technology is incredibly realistic. The conversations that you can have range in topic. The “listener” is empathetic in nature and can offer vocabulary help. I’m not sure what the best part is truthfully, because I love so much about it, but I do really like the feedback option for the conversations. The fact that you receive feedback on what you do well and need improvement with, but more specifically, you receive feedback with examples from the conversation that you just had is incredible. there are only two things that I dislike. First and foremost, the cost. The free trial is really short. The subscription is expensive. If this technology was more accessible, I think it would benefit so many people in language learning! The other thing that I don’t love is it seems like the bot could continue the conversation forever and ever. Even when I try to end the conversation, they ask another question. It takes away from the natural exchange. Not a major problem though.

I have been using this 16 days and discovered just after day 2 how the counter keeps your daily streak going, so each day is was fun to watch the daily count go up… then I got to day 14 and was ready to see it move from “day 13” —> to “day 14” and was excited to also see the “week 1” move to “week 2” and so as always, I logged on, completed a grammar chat, got my little fire icon for the day & it told me my points I just earned. Exciting!! HOWEVER, the next day I opened the app and it stated “Day 0” and my week was “week 1” So, I contact the help desk explaining and asking if they can update my account. Alex wrote back and said that I must have created 2 accounts as they “see this a lot” and to go check my settings. I replied that no I have not created a new account, I still log in with the same info I have the last 14 days, all the same conversations are there in my history and my points are still the same as when I logged out. No response. Typical. Now I’m on day 16…I was on for a good hour yesterday and today as always, received the little fire icon with my points and I’m STILL at day Zero. Duolingo doesn’t have this problem with keeping track… There shouldn’t be such a bug in the system, especially since I’m a paying PRO customer. Now today during the chat, the AI is repeating several words in a row. That’s quite annoying. Guess all works well until it doesn’t.

5/5Amazing.
I’d like to congratulate everyone on the Langua team for an outstandingly fantastic product. This is light years ahead of any other language program I have tried. I am street fluent in Greek, but trying to get better at technical language and dealings with banks and such. Being able to tailor a conversation, and especially for the AI to remember the context of a previous conversation is just fantastic. Also being able to fluidly switch back-and-forth between Greek and English when I stumble encourages me to keep working at some difficult vocabulary. I’m about to send an apple gift card to a friend of mine in Greece who is trying to learn English so they can download it and use it as well. I can’t recommend this highly enough. The conversations can go from ultra basic to super complicated and technical. Your choice. Yesterday I had a wide ranging philosophical conversation with their AI about the merits of a sparse style of composition in photography. I actually enjoyed myself and learned some new words at the same time. Also, the voice to text in any language that I’ve tried or my friends have tried has been uncannily accurate.

5/5Very Natural
I'm using Langua for practice with Latin American Spanish conversation. I use it on Mac (web) and IOS and It is fairly amazing in how it works and the different choices for conversation. As others have said, it has some bugs but they seem to be becoming less frequent. I work with "Ana", who I chose because "she" speaks Mexican Spanish (slowly). The kinds of conversations that I have with "her" are very natural and life-like. I stumbled onto the evaluation report that you can generate after a session recently and was blown away. In a PDF report generated in a couple of minutes it went through my mistakes and made recommendations for improvement. Wow. I thought I would try it for a month but now it is indispensable. I use it to augment my study with the Babbel app and review from a couple textbooks that tie things together.

5/5THE BEST
I have tried several ai speech based apps and I am so insanely impressed with this hidden gem I don’t know how it’s not talked about more on social media. The accents are insanely human like, you can choose the accent/dialect you’re looking for (Spanish has many!!) and the depth you can go with conversation is incredible. There are flash cards and you can choose multiple exercises with your selected words. TONS of categories to study from, and even the ability to create your own Ai prompts! It even saves your prompts. I use this feature all the time so I can study my own topics. You’re not stuck learning things you will not need or follow the same boring templates every app has like stating your favorite food or asking for juice 100 times. I live in SWFL, my main goal is to be conversational with my neighbors, friends, and love interests. This is the only app getting me there. I can’t recommend it enough. My MAIN suggestion is to really learn the interface of the app and how it works because the set up is not dumbed down so to say like most apps. Also use their website because there is more found there like articles to read, videos and podcasts, and it links to your account. My goal is to finally get to b2 by the end of the year, (currently late stage a2/early b1) so I used Gemini to come up with a strategy for each day and had it include a Langua prompt for the ai as well and it’s been fantastic! I’m obsessed with this app I’ll NEVER use another.
