   I went for three years after my initial A Fib episode without a reoccurrence. At times I would wonder if this app and device really worked. Then right before I was going to be leaving town for two weeks I felt a little different and the app told me I was having A Fib. I checked it several times over the next hour and then called my cardiologist and emailed him through the app. I then met him at the emergency room and he did a cardio Version and thanks to this device and app I was able to leave town with a clear mind instead of dealing with this in a strange city. To be able to know on my own what is going on with my heart is worth way more than the price of this incredible device and app! I also have an Apple Watch because it can synch with my elliptical when I am exercising. The Kardia app and device give a more accurate EKG than the Apple Watch. There are times that I am feeling palpitations and the Apple Watch misses it but the Kardia shows it as I am feeling it. Years ago with the Apple Watch 3, Kardia had a watchband that gave EKG capability to the Apple Watch. That is the only reason why I bought the Apple Watch 3 and probably a lot of other people only bought the Apple Watch for the same reason. Then, when Apple wanted to have the technology in a new version of the watch, they screwed Kardia and went elsewhere for the technology. Years later, the technology still is not as good, which only cheats the Apple Watch customer and not any consequence to Apple for poor business ethics.

   I was diagnosed with SVT decades ago, but nearly every time I'm hooked up to an EKG monitor at the cardiologist, or they attach a Holter or Zio Patch to record my heart arrhythmia episodes ... nada, zilch, nothing ... everything is "normal." However, a few days ago, while I was at the VA Clinic, my Apple Watch (Beat Watcher app) alerted me to an elevated heart rate of 127 ... so I pulled out my Kardia 6L EKG device, and I was able to record a tachycardia episode and give the readout to my doctor. Some of my episodes occur while I'm sleeping, in which case the Apple Watch (Beat Watcher app) wakes me up, and since the Kardia 6L is always near me, I can grab an EKG even in the dead of night. I never go anywhere without my Kardia 6L. Thanks for making this affordable portable EKG device. I regularly recommend Kardia 6L to other veterans with heart conditions. I purchased my own Kardia 6L, but I have since learned that the VA can prescribe Kardia 6L to qualified veterans. (Suggestion): (1) Please add a "Siri take EKG" Siri shortcut so that we can quickly use the Kardia 6L without having to fumble with the app, especially useful when I just woke up. (2) Please add "Dark Mode" - opening Kardia in a pitch-black room is blinding.

3. 5/5Grateful for Kardia

   I have had episodes of atrial fibrillation for about 10 years and initially I did not have a Kardia device and I have been sent to the ER by ambulance several times by my local physicians office which my cardiologist says was unnecessary since the pooling of the blood in the heart is not typically a risk until 24-48 hours of AFib. My heart has always gone back into normal sinus rhythm within 4 to 6 hours and maybe a little as a few minutes. Since getting the Kardia device, I have had multiple events and over the course of time I’ve learned how to use this device more effectively. By placing a drop of saliva or water on the electrode on the backside where it comes in contact with your skin, has made all the difference in my ability to begin an EKG recording instantaneously and keep it from aborting and starting over again multiple times. Because I live in a rural area 60+ miles from my cardiologist, I have found the device extremely helpful because I can do the EKG and email it to my doctor and get their advice quickly. My problem has always been AFib, but I highly recommend this Kardia device for peace of mind and the assistance that it makes possible very quickly.

4. 5/5A True Personal Health Tool

   I was having heart palpitations and brief rapid heart rate episodes lasting any where from minutes to hours. I went through the regular cardiac tests..... stress test, blood work, EKG, echo, and 48 hour mobile heart monitoring. The palpitations and rapid heart rate did not surface during these test. How discouraging, because my symptoms were real but not solid proof. My cardiologist was concerned but not convinced there could be a problem. I mean after all doctors work with concrete facts. I remembered I had a Kardia, AliveCor Mobile EKG which I had purchased a year or so before these symptoms to help with my mother's heart tracking. I started monitoring my palpitations with the view to sharing the results with my doc. I also used the device when I started to have longer rapid heart rate episodes which were sporadic and usually occurred when the Doc's office was closed. (Who can run to the doctor at a moments notice and get in? Not me) Bingo! Proof that my symptoms were real. I printed out the EKG records I had taken with my Kardia, faxed them to my cardiologist, and received a call the same day with the diagnosis of Afib. I truly believe a correct diagnosis came about faster, without a possible emergency room visit, and in the comfort/safely at home only because of this fabulous device and easy to use app. For under a hundred dollars it's the BEST investment in my and my family's health I have made.

5. 5/5Literally saved my life!

   I first began using the Kardia monitor in January 2019 because I was having very occasional moments of slight lightheadedness, almost unnoticeable. I was a little concerned because my mother had a stroke at about my age, and I was already on blood pressure medication. Even though I was feeling fine, I got the Kardia monitor and began using it occasionally. I was getting normal readings, so that put my mind at ease. Then one day it alerted me that I had Bradychardia (slow heart rate) and few days later “Possible Afib”. At the same time , my lightheaded spells began to occur more frequently, so I began to take my EKG on a more regular basis. I started to notice skipped heartbeats on readings labeled “unclassified “ and could also see a correlation between the skipped beats and my lightheaded moments. One day I had a long pause between beats that covered the width of my phone, so I made an appointment with my cardiologist. He put me on a heart monitor for 7 days, and the first night I wore it, I had a call in the middle of the night. My heart was pausing for as long as 8 seconds and my heart rate had dropped to 20. They told me to go to the ER immediately, because I had a very serious problem. I had to have a pacemaker implanted in my heart that same day. During those months leading up to that day and even when I walked into the ER, I felt fine. But I could have died in my sleep at any time if that little Kardia monitor had not alerted me that I had a problem. My cardiologist even said that little device saved my life because without it, I wouldn’t have known anything was wrong until it was too late. I am so grateful for this wonderful technology!

   After atrial flutter & fibrillation last year, I purchased the Kardia mobile, and it reported the problems. After I had an Ablation, I continue to check with the Kardia Mobile and it now always tells me I'm in Normal Sinus Rythym. And I can forward the Information to my cardiologist.
