  1. 5/5ECG+ Saved My Life

I have been an ECG+ subscriber since March 2020. I did not have any reason to buy the premium subscription, I was just curious. I was 64 then. Both my parents had significant heart problems. Because of the pandemic I decided to keep an eye on my heart. From March 27, 2020 until January 27, 2026 I did not have any significant issues other than an occasional PVC or skipped beat. On January 28th my watch picked up an atrial fibrillation event. I initiated 3 more readings, all resulting in an AF indication. 6 more scans on the 29th, with 5 AF readings. I notified my doctor who had me in the very next afternoon. Their ECG machine verified what ECG+ and my Apple Watch had reported. I was in the ER an hour later and was diagnosed with Atrial Flutter. The following week I was at my cardiologist who verified my watch and app readings, plus my doctor and the ER’s readings. Yesterday, February 24, 2026 I had a cardio version, which shocked my heart back into a normal sinus rhythm. This was after nearly a month of continuous AFlut readings every day, new meds to thin my blood and stabilize my heart for the procedure! I absolutely believe ECG+ saved my life by reading my Apple Watch’s sensors and reported my AF reading. I would not have known until it might have been almost too late. Needless to say, Great Job with the app, 5 Stars!!!, and thank you!

  2. 2/5Seems expensive…

This software seems to be based entirely off of Apple Watch ECG feature of putting your finger on the crown for 30 seconds. During that time you have to be still, which means you can’t use it during heavy exercise. I was also under the impression Apple Watch couldn’t detect PVCs. So just how useful the ECG feature is on Apple Watch is still a mystery to me. I do own Apple Watch 9, and every usage of ECG says “this ecg doesn’t show any signs of…”. In contrast, hospital grade devices, like Holter, are worn over the heart for 48 hours as you live your life normally, exercise and all. The entire period of time is later analyzed. In terms of some metrics a consumer grade chest strap, like Polar H10, is considered superior to wrist worn devices, such as staying connected while moving around, providing continuous readings, etc. Why doesn’t ECG+ have an option of directly collecting chest strap readings for a variable duration, like hours, even while exercising? In my opinion, this ECG+ isn’t built on the strongest foundation and I can’t see how it’s worth $120.

  3. 5/5Great App!

I am new to Apple Watch. Little did I know that the day after I got the watch and had put this app on it, I would be using it to check my heart. I had a slow heart rate with some premature ventricular contractions that did not perfuse and was short of breath and did not feel well. I know that you can’t use a strip like this to diagnose but I ended up going to the hospital and it let the doctor know more about what I was experiencing. I had printed copies of several of my episodes. The doctors and nurses were impressed that the ecg tracing was so good coming from a watch. Thank you!!

  4. 2/5No way to contact purchased item toys

I purchased this for myself for $10 a month and wanted to add my father so we purchased a family plan at 50 something a month now I try to connect myself to my dad’s family plan and now the amount has creased by another $10 so I’d have to redo the whole thing for $65… I think this is unethical. I purchased the highest amount of a plan that was available for my father at this time. I’ve tried to reach out to the developer but there’s not a response for a month so I have spent20 for me. I purchased it yesterday for myself because I couldn’t use it on the family plan… That tells you how much I like it… However, there’s no way to rectify this so they’ve gotten over $100 from me in one month.

  5. 5/5Great app

Not sure why all these health apps require you to pay…. It’s ridiculous in my opinion. Not everyone has the money to subscribe to stay on top of their health. Yes, I’m a single mom with a mortgage and bills with a car note. Things are difficult for my homestead with the increased cost of living. I’m paycheck to paycheck. Wasn’t born into money, didn’t marry into money. I work hard for my change. Don’t have enough to go around. Maybe someone can mention a free app as I’m having some heart issues that I need to stay on top of. Thanks. Sorry for the long review.

  • 1.15

    • ECG+ now detects and marks Quadrigeminy, one of the 5 Beat Repeat Patterns that ECG+ checks. • Quadrigeminy is a repeating pattern where every fourth beat is premature. While not common, it does occur, and when it does, the newly introduced Link Line design on the ECG strip makes it super easy to spot. • Algorithm v1.5 brings significant improvements to ECG analysis accuracy, with better recognition of rhythm patterns, reduced false positives, and more reliable detection of events across all recordings. A special thank you to the users who shared their reports, feedback, and ideas. Your support helped make this improvement possible.

  • 1.15.1

This update focuses on two key areas of accuracy improvement: • Respiratory baseline drift and EMG noise from finger contact are common in Apple Watch ECG recordings. Algorithm v1.5 improves how ECG+ handles these signal issues, helping produce cleaner and more stable heartbeat identification. • More precise heartbeat positioning helps produce more accurate RR intervals, which can also improve the reliability of HRV calculations. Please note that all possible findings, including patterns (Couplet, Bigeminy and Quadrigeminy) in ECG+ are for informational and educational purposes only. They are not medical diagnoses, do not replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional, and should not be used for diagnosis, treatment, or medical decision-making.

  • 1.15.2

Apple Watch labels a recording as Atrial Fibrillation when it detects an irregularly irregular rhythm with no visible P waves. ECG+ goes one step further to quantify how irregular each AFib recording is and plots it as a trend over time, placing every recording on the full spectrum from mildly to highly irregular. It's a richer picture than a label alone can give. Trends are only as good as the data behind them. A new optional Streak Reminder in Settings notifies you each day you haven't recorded yet, helping you build the consistent habit that makes HRV, QTc, and heart rate trends genuinely meaningful.

  • 1.16

Your heart felt off. You went to capture it. But Apple Watch just said, “Poor Recording.” You tried again, held your breath, kept your finger steady, yet again: “Poor Recording.” Most of the time, the cause is simple. Even the smallest movement can blur the trace. So version 1.16 introduces “Breathe, then record.” A few guided breaths to help you settle and hold still, so the next recording comes out clean, right when it matters most. Analysis is only as good as the recording behind it. Clean signal in, clearer findings out. The cleaner the recording, the more accurate the report your doctor receives to help guide their decisions. Many of you use ECG+ to keep an eye on one thing in particular: PACs or AFib. Version 1.16 makes that easier with burden trends, showing how often they appear over time. Holding steady or easing off can bring peace of mind. Trending upward is your cue to take a closer look and discuss it with your doctor. And there’s groundwork you won’t see. Version 1.16 has been rebuilt on a modern foundation using the latest Apple technologies, so ECG+ is ready for what’s coming next.

Your heart felt off. You went to capture it. But Apple Watch just said "Poor Recording." Again and again. Usually the cause is simple: even the smallest movement can blur the trace. So 1.16.x introduces "Breathe, then record", a few guided breaths to help you settle and hold still, so the recording comes out clean when it matters most. Clean signal in, clearer findings out. The cleaner the recording, the more accurate the report your doctor receives. Many of you use ECG+ to watch one thing in particular: PACs or AFib. Now burden trends show how often they appear over time. Holding steady can bring peace of mind. Trending upward is your cue to take a closer look with your doctor. And there's groundwork you won't see: 1.16.x is rebuilt on the latest Apple technologies, so ECG+ is ready for what's coming next.

  • 1.16.2

Some Apple Watch ECG readings come through with very low amplitude. These are often perfectly normal, but a small waveform can be hard to read clearly. Version 1.16.2 introduces Magnifier, so you and your doctor can see the finer detail. A trend often tells you more than any single reading, whether that's HRV or arrhythmia burden. We've redesigned trends in 1.16.2 to make important changes over time stand out, while still letting you jump straight to individual readings. Managing your subscription is easier too. A new Subscription option in Settings lets you upgrade or change your Premium plan in a couple of taps.

  • 1.17 · 14 Jul 2026

A cardiologist reading an ECG report always wants more context: what symptoms you felt when the recording was taken, and what might have led up to it, such as a big meal, alcohol, coffee, anxiety, or poor sleep. In version 1.17 we expanded the symptoms section into a full Journal, where you can capture these details for your doctor to consider. Journal makes ECG+ smart interpretation genuinely useful. When you ask about a recording, ECG+ reads your symptoms and triggers alongside the waveform data and addresses them directly: whether the flutter you felt lines up with what the trace shows, or whether last night's poor sleep could explain the extra beats. And across your whole history, Journal reveals patterns and triggers, like premature beats that cluster after coffee, or calmer readings in weeks you slept well. The more you record, the more ECG+ can connect, and easier it finds those triggers behind the episodes. Apple Watch ECG produces relatively low P wave amplitude, and 1.17 introduced a new specific algorithm in finding where P waves start and end, by zooming in really deep into the waveform. This significantly reduces overestimation.

  • 1.17.1 · 30 Jul 2026

More accurate and honest measurements An upgraded measurement engine (v1.18) reads waves more faithfully. When a wave cannot be reliably identified, for example a P wave with very low amplitude, instead of throwing a bunch of numbers around, ECG+ now marks the area it searched and explains why it's not a good idea to measure an unclear wave. This is often seen on recordings with lots of artifacts (noise) caused by poor contact. Search your recordings Find any recording in seconds. Search by symptoms, triggers, notes, or findings.

  • 1.9.4

The latest version of ECG+ includes a new Heartbeat Navigator, designed to help users quickly locate abnormal heartbeats, such as PACs or PVCs, for more efficient analysis. This powerful tool enhances the user experience, making heart monitoring more intuitive and effective. Additionally, the app now offers advanced detection for T wave abnormalities. Capable of identifying both flattened and inverted T waves, ECG+ provides essential insights into possible heart conditions, supporting early detection and proactive health management. This upgrade allows users to monitor their heart health with increased precision and confidence.

  • 1.9.5

ECG+ interprets your Apple Watch ECGs to detect more potential arrhythmias and abnormalities. ◆ Atrial Fibrillation Detection: Identifies the most common arrhythmia that often requires medical attention. ◆ PAC/PVC Identification: Recognizes common but typically benign heart conditions. ◆ Prolonged QT Interval Alerts: Highlights prolonged QT intervals, indicating potential delays in heart recharging. ◆ T Wave Changes: Detects inverted or flattened T waves, which may suggest underlying health issues. ◆ HRV Monitoring: Tracks Heart Rate Variability (HRV), a key indicator of overall wellbeing.

  • 1.9.6

In Version 1.9.6, we’re thrilled to roll out the Export Your ECGs feature! Now, you can export your ECG data to a CSV file, which includes detailed measurements for each reading—such as PR, QRS, QT, and RR intervals—along with five QTc calculation options: Bazett, Fridericia, Framingham, Hodges, and Rautaharju. This range of QTc formulas allows you to choose the method that best aligns with your needs or healthcare recommendations. The CSV format is designed to make it easy for you to track trends, perform your own analysis, or share data with healthcare providers, helping you take an active role in monitoring and understanding your heart health.

  • 1.9.7

This update includes a critical correction to QTc over-estimation caused by T wave elevation. Unlike traditional approaches that rely on the isoelectric line, the tangent method identifies the true T wave baseline, reflecting your heart’s real repolarization. This improved algorithm now ensures more accurate QTc calculations, enhancing the reliability of ECG analysis. A huge Thank You to everyone who shared their ECG data to help us make these improvements! Your support drives us forward.
