   Jumia need to develop their app on the side of payment. Not everybody are using debit card to purchase their product, at least they should be able to add a direct bank transfer on the app for a second option in order for non card user to send money directly for shopping via the app and boom order made easy for us. Now let me explain. What I mean is this; on the option of using debit card, they should add bank transfer so every user can choose their respective bank and enter their account number with the total amount of the order and Jumia will debit the respective amount on the purchase.

   This app isn’t perfect but it’s the best you can get right now regarding E commerce in the underdeveloped world. However, they have the same issues that plague every other third world business. Once they dominate they begin to get complacent, I ordered a cocktail shaker set today and it turned out incomplete without the shaker itself and all they could tell me was to wait about 6 days before I can hear from them regarding this issue. I went back on the app to give the order a rating it deserved only to find out the order no longer exists on the platform, so the merchant was a scammer and what’s shocking is that he/she was allowed to sell on the platform, kinda shows the level of scrutiny they give their merchants. I’ll still make my orders on Jumia, until we get a Jumia killer that is. It’ll happen eventually. A piece of advice to anyone lucky enough to read this before downloading, do not buy any product that doesn’t have at least 5-10 verified purchase ratings on the product. This way you know that’s a legitimate seller, make sure you find out about the merchant’s ratings as well. Don’t purchase without doing this or you’ll regret it because their customer service is very poor and you’ll lose whatever’s left of your product and if luck’s on your side you might get a refund. Hopefully we get a real Jumia competitor to put these guys on their toes.

3. 1/5You guys are the worse 😡

   Jumia has very poor customer service.👎 I made a purchase of three items and got only two delivered to me, the foolish delivery guy said he forgot one of the item which cost N24,500, the guy said he will deliver it the next day. I called him the next day and he said his bike had an issue and he’s at the mechanic so he won’t be able to get it delivered that day. To cut the long story short I still haven’t received the item yet. Even though I paid completely for the item to be delivered I still drove to their pickup station at just pick it up but I couldn’t locate the place because the address on the map lead me to a residential building. I’ve complained to customer service multiple times but they keep saying they will get back to me and they don’t. It’s almost a month now and I haven’t heard from either Jumia or the dispatcher, so before you buy anything from Jumia just carry in mind that you might be giving out free money

4. 5/5Sometimes it shows try again when trying to search and also the app automatically clears my cart

   Hello I need you to look into your app , jumia has been my go to app , but it get tiring when one want to order and the app keeps showing error or try again , especially when I click to add something to my cart , just to find out the product I added wasn’t there just because the app is malfunctioning , please what can you guys do to fix this , even to search for a product , it will show try again

5. 1/5Express means nothing to these guys

   After ordering a bunch of items of which two were supposed to be delivered within 24hrs(express), I get a quote that goes beyond 24 hrs and I figured it was for the whole cart and not the particular items that were supposedly express delivery items. It’s been over 5 business days now and still no delivery notice and to make things worse two items from the order end up being cancelled as out of stock. Why wasn’t this indicated during checkout? I called their customer care yesterday and got different messages, one says deliver will be made today other says today their deliver staff don’t work. Like seriously, this is so messy. I have never received any item on the exact day it’s expected. This is why I never use mobile money to make payments on your store as you are still lacking at so many levels to be trusted to deliver.
