1/5Useless App. Doesn’t work at all. What is the point
This is absolutely the worst airline application I have used in my life. It literally doesn’t work. Flight status? Nope just says “no flights found”. Boarding pass? Nope. Ability to check in? Nope. It’ll give notifications randomly but there’s nothing you can do with them. I am a US national traveling domestically in India. The log in is weird if you don’t have an india number. It says you can use email or non-india number but nope. Indigo is a big airline in a country that develops apps for around the world and they have this piece of crap app. Whoever their CTO / head of consumer app is should be ashamed and lose their job. Nothing personal, you just literally do the one thing you are supposed to do.

1/5Staff are not genuine with passengers
We are family of 6 and got seats together(3rd row) from Benguluru to Vijayawada flight 6E 7224 on July 24, 2024. It is ATR flight. Before take off ground staff guy came said in order to balance the weight of the aircraft distribution ( junk reason) we need move passengers to back and asked 2 of us to move back seats of plane and told after take off we can move to our original seats. A guy from back seat was moved to our seat. After take off is complete we informed flight attendant and they said let the seat belt sign go off it took more than half of the journey to turn off the seat belt. We reminded them again and gave junk reason of after catering is done. After that seat belt sign is turned on again and journey completed. In end we got a simple sorry for inconvenience. Decide never to fly Indigo Again.

I booked a flight through Indigo, the flight is run in partnership with Turkish Airlines. I have been trying to check in for more than an hour through both web and mobile app. This has been the most painful experience for me wrt using an app. The web does not let me move past passenger details and keeps giving me irrelevant error. When I try to check in in mobile app, it keeps giving me long form to enter all the passenger details and after that never enables the button to “Next”. It leaves me stuck on this page without any errors. In “My Trips” section, I enter my ticket details to view the itinerary. I see an option to do web check in there but this workflow leads me to different erroneous page where it is not able to identify my seat selectio , which I already made at the time of booking. The “check in” workflow does identify my seat selection correctly, not sure why it fails when I come from “My Trip” workflow. I am from software engineering background and do understand the technical details behind the application. At this point, I am seriously questioning the app developers, UX , QA and everyone involved in deliverying such poor customer experience. Hopefully their system works fine when I go to the counter. I hope this message is received by dev team and they work on fixing this buggy app asap.

I have installed this app multiple times on my iPhone. When it functions it is good. But it crashes all the time. So I have to reinstall. This time the error message was can’t connect to the server and everything is grayed out with Retry button. When click the retry it is trying to connect forever. I have good internet connection and everything else work perfect. Also, when I am sometime it gives trouble with login as if it is not recognizing the phone number etc. please someone look into this. I can use the same credentials on a web browser and it works. But on the app I am having problems.

We booked a ticket under students criteria where indigo states that it provides a 25kg baggage per student. We selected students did the tickets and when we reached the check in counter we were told that we aren’t booked under student even though we had all our student ids. We kept requesting them to somehow accomodate us or give us a different flight if not this but they weren’t helping us in any way and were asking us to make a payment of 8000 rupees when the two tickets cost us 7800. On telling them that we cannot afford it they asked us to call our parents to pay the excess baggage fee. As our parents dont stay here, we briefed them about our situation that we had no money. The indigo manager at guwahati airport kept smiling and said I cannot do anything about it . That is not my problem. She asked us to take out 20 kgs and carry it if we cannot pay the excess baggage fees. They asked us to put 20 kgs in carry on baggage even when we did not have any luggage to put the 20 kgs. They told us to arrange it somehow and that it was not their problem. We are entitled to 50 kgs per student fare and they kept demanding money for the extra 20kgs by charging us normal fare for 30 kgs. Very disappointing behavior by the airline. I would give you 0 stars if i could, but 1 is the least it allows me. Pure extortion scheme by indigo. This is extremely filthy behavior. They wasted our time and did not even pay the cancellation fees or refunds by engaging us for 2 hours and then telling us that cancellation fees can only be done before 2 hours of the flight, even though we had arrived much earlier.

Dear IndiGo Baggage Services, I am disappointed with the response provided regarding my damaged baggage. The side strap of my baggage has been completely cut, and the stitching on the side has come apart. This is not a minor cosmetic issue but damage that affects the condition and usability of the baggage. I request you to reconsider my claim and arrange for an appropriate resolution, either by repairing the baggage or providing suitable compensation.

Everytime I login , after submitting otp, it says something went wrong. Bad user login interface, atleast give finger sensor login, everytime login provide otp and eventhough after that not able to sign in

The log in is weird if you don’t have an india number. It says you can use email or non-india number but nope.           "body": "We are family of 6 and got seats together(3rd row) from Benguluru to Vijayawada flight 6E 7224 on July 24, 2024. It is ATR flight. Before take off ground staff guy came said in order to balance the weight of the aircraft distribution ( junk reason) we need move passengers to back and asked 2 of us to move back seats of plane and told after take off we can move to our original seats. A guy from back seat was moved to our seat. After take off is complete we informed flight attendant and they said let the seat belt sign go off it took more than half of the journey to turn off the seat belt. We reminded them again and gave junk reason of after catering is done. After that seat belt sign is turned on again and journey completed. In end we got a simple sorry for inconvenience. Decide never to fly Indigo Again.",

          "body": "I booked a flight through Indigo, the flight is run in partnership with Turkish Airlines. I have been trying to check in for more than an hour through both web and mobile app. This has been the most painful experience for me wrt using an app. The web does not let me move past passenger details and keeps giving me irrelevant error. When I try to check in in mobile app, it keeps giving me long form to enter all the passenger details and after that never enables the button to “Next”. It leaves me stuck on this page without any errors. In “My Trips” section, I enter my ticket details to view the itinerary. I see an option to do web check in there but this workflow leads me to different erroneous page where it is not able to identify my seat selectio , which I already made at the time of booking. The “check in” workflow does identify my seat selection correctly, not sure why it fails when I come from “My Trip” workflow. I am from software engineering background and do understand the technical details behind the application. At this point, I am seriously questioning the app developers, UX , QA and everyone involved in deliverying such poor customer experience. Hopefully their system works fine when I go to the counter. I hope this message is received by dev team and they work on fixing this buggy app asap.",

This time the error message was can’t connect to the server and everything is grayed out with Retry button. When click the retry it is trying to connect forever. I have good internet connection and everything else work perfect. Also, when I am sometime it gives trouble with login as if it is not recognizing the phone number etc. please someone look into this. I can use the same credentials on a web browser and it works. But on the app I am having problems.",

          "body": "We booked a ticket under students criteria where indigo states that it provides a 25kg baggage per student. We selected students did the tickets and when we reached the check in counter we were told that we aren’t booked under student even though we had all our student ids. We kept requesting them to somehow accomodate us or give us a different flight if not this but they weren’t helping us in any way and were asking us to make a payment of 8000 rupees when the two tickets cost us 7800. On telling them that we cannot afford it they asked us to call our parents to pay the excess baggage fee. As our parents dont stay here, we briefed them about our situation that we had no money. The indigo manager at guwahati airport kept smiling and said I cannot do anything about it . That is not my problem. She asked us to take out 20 kgs and carry it if we cannot pay the excess baggage fees. They asked us to put 20 kgs in carry on baggage even when we did not have any luggage to put the 20 kgs. They told us to arrange it somehow and that it was not their problem. We are entitled to 50 kgs per student fare and they kept demanding money for the extra 20kgs by charging us normal fare for 30 kgs. Very disappointing behavior by the airline. I would give you 0 stars if i could, but 1 is the least it allows me. Pure extortion scheme by indigo. This is extremely filthy behavior. They wasted our time and did not even pay the cancellation fees or refunds by engaging us for 2 hours and then telling us that cancellation fees can only be done before 2 hours of the flight, even though we had arrived much earlier.",
