1. 5/5Best Self Hypnosis App

   I love this self hypnosis app. I tried a few initially before signing up for the subscription and I was sold after listening to the first one. There are so many different categories and different ones to try. I love being able to build my own meditations and have lots of different options to try so it never feels repetitive. The man’s voice is amazing on the tracks. I have not tried the female voice yet, but I look forward to it. This is really a fabulous app that I am using now multiple times a day especially while falling asleep and waking up. I read recently from Bruce Lipton about how power self hypnosis was during these time upon sleeping and waking up and after doing some research I found this one after trying two other apps. This is by far my favorite one. Love it! I do hope they will develop something in the future to allow me to synch all my devices so that I can build a track on one and have it show up on my other devices. (Right now it synchs through iTunes so you have to build your custom meditations on each device) I think they are going to do this at some point though, so I look forward to that as I use 3 different devices right now for this app. Very happy with this powerful app!

2. 5/5The real thing, finally

   As a psychotherapist who uses hypnotherapy in my own practice, I’ve looked for legitimate therapeutically-structured hypnosis apps for quite some time, for both my personal use as well as to refer to certain clients. HypnoBox is different, in the best of ways, because it offers different induction options, deepening options, a wide menu of suggestions, awakening options. It truly empowers the user to create scripts that work for them, which is tremendously important in all self-hypnosis. (All hypnosis actually is self-hypnosis.) I have just started using the app and look forward to exploring more scripts and will be referring HypnoBox to friends and family who have asked me to offer them hypnosis but would be unethical for me to treat friends and family.

3. 4/5Good app with frustrating documantation FAIL

   This is a great app. The only thing that prevents me from giving it 5 stars is that I literally spent 3 hours trying to figure out how to import my own "Voice" suggestion files. The documentation just says that I have to import them via iTunes (I guess the manual hasn't been updated in the last 4 years because... iTunes, really?) Now we can send files to an iPhone via Finder... but where? HypnoBox doesn't show up as an app to send files to in the Finder when I sync my iPhone. I tried insane workarounds like complicated ways to put the files via other apps into different folders in the iOS file system (there is no specific folder for HypnoBox in the file system that is user accessible), but no matter what I do the "Voice" import option show up as an empty "list" with zero instructions, who knows where it is looking for files, and there is absolutely nothing in the app or in the documentation to provide any help. At this price tag, it's a big fat FAIL on adding a feature and then making it impossible to use it due to being lazy with documentation.

4. 4/5Excellent concept and content

   When I first downloaded this app two months ago I gave a 2-star rating. It was very confusing how to use the app. I was in contact after that with the developer who was absolutely wonderful to work with and he helped me maximize the app and understand the power in the “box” This is a very innovative way to deliver hypnosis. Their content is very well done as well. I particularly like the voice of the British male, I think his name is Martin Heckman, it’s just addictive! My star rating is really more like 4.5. I know they will keep working on the user experience to make it the best 5 star app on the market and in two months I already see some improvements. I find the proograms very helpful. I initially used the app to prepare me for surgery. It worked really well and I had a very peaceful surgery and recovery. I spent about two weeks with various programs to relieve anxiety, minimize fear and anxiety, and find peace in the decision I had made. I’m back on the app now to work on finding motivation to get back to my regular life and relive some post op depression. Just finished my first session and it reminded me how great this tool box is and I’m looking forward to more sessions. Suggestion: create a calendar and reminders so the user schedules in their daily hypnosis. Another idea would be to create more predefined sessions based on user input on what they’re looking to work on. Cheers!

5. 4/5Best hypnosis app

   Definitely the best hypnosis app available and I periodically download other apps to confirm this. Would benefit from dark mode because I only use this app before bed and it’s super bright! Lots of content but after a year of using you’ll feel that it needs some fresh content. They sell the scripts separately for professionals so that means you won’t know fully what the suggestions are going to say until you start listening and I’ve found myself interrupting my sessions to skip or remove content I didn’t like. I enjoyed my year subscription and got a lot of benefit but on the fence about renewing since the app feels abandoned, although definitely a complete product, I expect to pay a membership for things that have recurring updates, they should only charge a onetime fee if they’re not going to add new content or features ever.
