5/5Love this app!
I have always loved this app… However lately it’s been doing this thing where it will log me out every time I’m not using the app… and it didn’t use to do that, I would always stay logged in. Now I have to enter my user name and password every single time I get on there which is a little frustrating, especially if you are using the app a lot every day. I thought at first it was happening to me bc I got a new phone but my co workers said they are having the same issue!? But truly I Iove this app bc it keeps up with my hours, I know my schedule and everyone I’m schedule to work with every day. It’s easy to switch shifts and ask for time off and keeps up with how much you make… the best part is the cash advance!!!! It’s so great and fast if you are low on $$ in your bank account and a bill is coming out… ok seconds you have as much as you need and once you get your check, HomeBase will take the advanced money out on there own so there is no way to forget to pay it back and no late fees if you were to forget to pay it back. So yes, I’m a big fan of HomeBase!

2/5Poorly optimized and poorly laid out.
This app has stopped sending me notifications altogether, despite them being enabled in the app and in my settings. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled and the issue persists. This is an issue for everyone in my workplace who has an iOS device. Schedule can only be viewed on a week-by-week basis, no ability to view a full calendar. Also the week that’s shown always starts on Thursday with no ability to change the view. Syncing Homebase with the iOS calendar results in every single shift being put on my calendar three times per week, which clutters up the calendar to the point of near unusability. My shift for today, for example, is on my iOS calendar TEN times. The messaging system is pretty bad. It’s all in group message format, which would be fine, but having to scroll through every single chat until finding the one you’re looking for is a slog, and there’s no way to actually search for a specific conversation or message. Back-to-back shifts are terrible to handle. I’m often scheduled for a few hours in one role and for the rest of my shift in another, and have to clock out and back in. The clock-in for the second shift overrides the ability to clock out from the first, so I always have to reply to the automated “did you forget to clock out” message before I’m able to clock back in, otherwise it throws an error message. Until about two months ago I was able to just clock out and back in, so this is a recent change. The app also frequently doesn’t properly register clock-ins. All in all, a poorly designed app that adds unnecessary complexity to both communication and scheduling/time clock management.

5/5To keep communication
Home base is a very highly use for communication volume that is very highly recommended for all workers that carry a title working for Carlo’s company. I do depend on Home Base it really helps me to keep in communication with my Boss and coworkers etc. and especially in this time of quarantine during this pandemic COVID-19 the Boss and coworkers been communicating with one another checking on each other during this time for me I feel that it brought out POSITIVE BLESSINGS to one another Home Base kept communication for us all. I am a worker for the Las Vegas Bakery I truly miss work can’t wait to go back, so I highly recommend that we can keep Home Base it really serves a lot of purpose for me and for my other coworkers, supervisors, bakers, assistant manager and our GENERAL MANAGER, with all that I have stated above this Is all from my HEART communication is very IMPORTANT so Home Base needs to be kept ( if I took this to seriously forgive me it’s my HEART ) that did the talking I was just the person following my HEART with communicating. Please everyone be safe wear your mask and hope that this all blow over soon so we all can get back to work and bond as one again. I thank you for giving me the time to express how important Home Base is to me. Thank you, Marguerite Aina ( retail associate from the Las Vegas store)

2/5Needless UI changes
I’ve been using Homebase ever since I started working at my first job in 2017, and have had no issues until recently. I have to ask—why are we implementing UI changes that just make the app harder to navigate?? Or harder to clock in? A couple months ago, it was an instant clock in, no waiting necessary. Now I have to sit around for five seconds to make sure it actually clocks me in?? Be for real. And then recently! They updated the way your schedule works, makes it more modern I guess. But it’s two times harder to see the last day of the week, making you slide towards the bottom of the screen several times before you can see that last day, AND it makes it harder to scroll to see the next week of schedules or the week before. I have to swipe up SEVERAL times to see the prompt to go to next week. I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around the latest updates when the last UI was so perfect :/ This may sound like crazy ramblings, but honestly, I wouldn’t have anything to talk about if the latest updates didn’t make it hard to navigate! I just want the old homebase back. Or at least an option to go back to that, like reddit’s UI where you can choose if you want your feed compressed or not.

1/5AI sellouts who don’t care about the people who use their product
Forced you to waste your time and chat with a support AI only to not adequately pair you with support. It seems the app has no formal process to report bugs with the UI seperate from any complaints, they recently must have needed money for their new AI so they took away features they previously had like the daily agenda layout for the daily schedule on IPhone, app constantly glitches and will tell people they are in the wrong location and can’t clock in thus looking money and wasting the companies time as employees have to seek out a manager in the facility just to clock in, it’s been auto logging people out leading to the same issue of people just standing around on the salesfloor for up to 10 mins trying to get the “homebase wheel of death” to load (and yes it just pops up again or logs you out if you close and re-open the app), mixing up or just straight up deleting profile pictures, and now mixing up request for other companies, as when a terminated employee gets a new job and they use homebase, it will start to share that new data with the old profile. Don’t worry they will do nothing to help. Don’t use unless your company makes you. As a hourly employee, it will do the job, but from the perspective of the managers who selected this app for scheduling. It has a LOT of improvements and possible security breaches that make me uncomfortable recommending it.
