   Love this app. It makes it easy to shop for instruments and equipment, simple. My last three Jacksons were through this app, and I am very pleased with them. Although some of the descriptions provided for the guitars don’t do them justice, just what some of their associates think. My KVXT in burnt cherry sunburst was listed as in good condition, but when I received it the guitar was actually in almost new condition. Barely any signs of ever being played or anything. I was more than pleased. From my experience, personally, they don’t mislead you on their items, just maybe rate the condition as less than what it really is for used items when in reality condition is better than description. And every time I call customer service or a representative at whichever store the items are located they are more than willing to help in any way with questions, and are very polite. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants an app that is simple and easy, and is a musician, or even just a collector of music instruments. And the prices of even the brand new Jackson guitars are usually at least $100 cheaper through Guitar Center than what is on the actual Jackson website. My opinion, Guitar Center isn’t just a major music instrument dealer, but they actually care enough for people to offer lower prices, making even the entry level stuff so much cheaper than what they are originally going for. Every since I bought my third guitar through these guys I’ve never looked back or regretted it. Guitar Center is the way to go and my only choice for guitars and equipment. Trust me, people, you won’t regret it.

2. 5/5New electric player

   I tried to play acoustic back in the day. I was at a Bob Dylan concert here in Philadelphia about a week after that infamous concert where Bob brought out an electric band. After that I put down my guitar till last summer. It was then Lennon and the crew at GC Plymouth Meeting changed everything. I bought my first electric guitar, an Epiphone Sheridan, solid black, gold trim, humbuckers. Top of the world. It kept breaking. Female jack head fell off inside 3 times in the first two months; stripped washer assembly. Then it went mute and then the pandemic hit. Locked in till July,Fortunately I had gotten a good used Ibanez Roadstar II on a whim. Today I finally could get to GC. They were more than happy to take the Epiphone. I was more than happy to buy a Fender Stratocaster. I have listened to Guitar Rock Stars all my life, but when I go to GC they make me feel like one.

3. 1/5So many bugs. App is terrible. Can’t search anything

   I’d give it a 0 star if possible. The search option only works if you’re super specific and have the correct spelling, you can’t just say “bass amp head” cause it will say “no results found” but if you put in ‘bass amplification head’ it’ll show everything on the under that category. So you gotta be very specific about what you want and spell it right which is weird cause some companies like to combine words that don’t spell out like you would think so it’s hard to find something if you don’t know the exact spelling. But on the GC website you can type any general word and it’ll bring back more results that match that keyword even if you don’t spell it right. Most times it won’t display every item under the category anyway so you could possibly miss something you been looking for thinking they just didnt carry that item at their store. That’s a big issue. It’s just a weak app in my opinion. I really only use the app to track my online orders since the website has better functionality. So it needs a better search capability, more detailed descriptions on the items for sale and more pictures on new and used items. If they fixed those issues it would be a decent app but at this point it’s absolutely worthless for anything other than tracking online orders.

   Typically, the app runs fine. I’ve been using it for a while now. Just browsing, sometimes it crashes when you’re right in the middle of searching for something. I think the biggest (and most frustrating) problem I’ve had is with checkout. If you use a coupon (like the 15% off deals the send out all the time), make sure what you want is in your cart and wait until the payment screen to input it. Not the very first “proceed to checkout” screen. It’ll glitch somewhere in between the two. If you input the coupon on the first screen, it’ll mess up when you get to payments. But now you can’t go back and redo it, because the system already “used” your coupon. What follows is a very long and difficult conversation with Guitar Center employees. Luckily, the guys at my store know me, and know I wouldn’t try to double dip a coupon like that. I like Guitar Center a lot, and I want to see it prosper. I understand this app has a lot of data and variables that it must sift through, so I get why it glitches. It’d just be nice to not have to go through limbo with it.

5. 5/5Inbox Bug

   I only rate this app as a four because there appears to be some kind of bug in the “More” section that says I have 4 messages in my inbox. This is whether I am signed in or not. When you go to the inbox there is nothing there and then the app crashes. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app numerous times, rebooted my phone numerous times, reported this to GC customer service numerous times, said 10 Our Fathers, 10 Hail Mary’s, did 20 pushups, 20 sit ups, 25 jumping jacks, ran 5 circles around my truck at a red light & clicked my heels three times. Yet GC customer service can’t seem to figure out how to fix this issue or at the very least route it to the correct department. Other than that the app is great. I’ve placed numerous orders with no issues and fast shipping.
