  1. 5/5Granola has quietly become the most indispensable app on my Mac.

I've tried many meeting recorder and note-taking tool out there, and nothing comes close. The transcription quality is genuinely impressive - not the hedging "pretty good for AI" kind, but the kind where you scroll back through a dense technical call and every word is where it should be. What separates Granola from everything else is the philosophy behind it. It doesn't join your meeting as a bot, doesn't awkward-sit in the corner of your video call, doesn't require anyone's permission or awareness. It just listens and works. That alone is worth five stars. The post-meeting summaries are wonderful - structured, readable, and actually reflective of what was discussed rather than a word-salad transcript with bullet points slapped on top. And the built-in AI lets you interrogate your own meetings afterward: pull a specific decision, reconstruct an action item list, answer "wait, what did we actually agree to?" The answers are good. For power users: the MCP integration is a game-changer. Hooking Granola into your own LLM workflows means your meeting history becomes a living knowledge base, not a graveyard of forgotten notes. I found Granola somewhat by accident, and I'm genuinely glad I did. It's one of those rare tools that solves a real problem elegantly, without compromise.

  2. 5/5Phone issues

I love the phone feature. Very clever. However, a couple of bugs: 1. It's laggy in the UI responsiveness. For example, when I toggle the speakerphone from earpiece on and off, it's got about a 1-second delay. 2. If I call somebody and they don't answer, it still tries to generate a note, which I don't think is useful. 3. Better organization of call logs - calls to the same person should be grouped, etc. 4. Notification after the call telling me my notes are ready shows the phone number rather than the name it should be mapped to. 5. Call stack UI builds up, and you have to dismiss each individually. So, if I had three phone calls all in a row through the Granola app, when I come back to the Granola app, you have to dismiss all of them, even though they're not all notes. You just see a blank screen with the person that you called. Dismissing is also not easy. If you try to slide it down, you kind of have to hit the down arrow instead. 6. Lots more, but this is my first day using it… I will change my review back to five stars once you acknowledge you received this feedback. I just wanted to get your attention once you fix this.

  3. 5/5Essential Daily Tool Across All My Devices

I use Granola every single day and it has become indispensable to my workflow. On mobile, it’s perfect for capturing conversations during walks and transcribing meetings on the go. The one-tap capture makes it effortless to start recording without interrupting the flow of conversation. What really sets Granola apart for me is the Vision Pro support. Being able to use it to talk through and transcribe my own ideas and thoughts in that environment has been incredibly valuable. So many apps artificially limit their Vision Pro functionality or don’t support it at all, so I genuinely appreciate that the Granola team made it work seamlessly across all platforms. The transcription quality is excellent even in different environments, and the AI-generated summaries with action items and key points save me hours of work each week. Whether it’s a formal meeting, a casual conversation, or just me working through my own thoughts, Granola captures everything beautifully. If you’re in back-to-back meetings or need a reliable way to capture ideas across your Apple devices, including Vision Pro, Granola is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!

  4. 5/5Peace of mind for ADHD

This is only my second day using Granola and just being able to offload all the ideas in my head very easily from an icon on my lock screen is just so awesome because I have a safe place for my ideas to go and they end up organized and formatted in a way that’s easy to see what I capture. Then automate send to a Google folder where I can ask Claude/Gemini/etc to search my captured notes for X idea or give me a summary of everything related to X, feels like such a nervous system reset for me. Highly recommend.

  5. 3/5Overall helpful but often still frustrating.

I find the app overall helpful with helping me to pass my circular thinking onto the paper and structure it better. At the same time I find it very annoying that there’s no possibility to edit raw notes, the AI notes are often hallucinating and change the meaning, making the whole note less usable, and understandable. I wish there was possibility to edit the raw note and also set the button how heavy should the AI summary be when creating the note. The summary is way more helpful when attending meetings. Also, it doesn’t listen to commands about making notes closer to the original through the Chat option.
