1. 5/5Skeptical at first

   This product by far is the best I have ever seen!! Yes I was skeptical at first, but as I started using the items added on to Alexa it’s just phenomenal. No membership fee no service fee no charge. I can access my home lights radio thermostat light bulbs TV anything in the house home or away is just wonderful. I can monitor my house when I’m not even home. I can turn on or off any device in the house through a timer, scenario, asking Alexa, or by the app on my cell in where in the world. When I’m heading home from a trip? I can tell my app to turn on the central heat and air and set temperature to what ever setting. Then when I get home, it’s all toasty in the house. I love it it’s just wonderful plus a bonus feature is it plays as a security system if a fire alarm goes off? It notifies my phone if someone breaks in the house it notifies my phone what a wonderful system someone has created. I just love this product. It works well with my Alexa, I can ask her anything she will turn on or off any device in the house. Now they need to figure out how to make a device to bring you a beer??

2. 2/5App worked great for years, before updates

   I have Gosund smart switches, smart plugs, and smart power strips all throughout my house; about 20, in total. They all worked great for several years, as did the app that controlled them. They still work with Alexa and I can manually turn them on or off with Alexa or the app. Since the last couple of software updates, my schedules and routines still appear in the app but they no longer initiate. Also, when I am away the app does not accurately show me what lights and switches are on or off, nor does it allow me to reliably control them remotely. I would have give. This app and these products six stars, if that had been possible, when everything worked. I adopted the Gosund products early on, when it wasn’t clear which products would endure. I bought Gosund because they didn’t require a HUB and their products and app were advanced at the time. If you only want to use this app and their products while you are at home, and control the switches through your HUB, their products might appeal to you, however, if you plan to control your lights remotely or want them to turn on or off on a schedule, this might not be your best choice. Until such time, when they update the app to hopefully bring back all of its functionality, I cannot recommend it.

3. 5/5Love these lights!!

   I have been using this app for a couple of months now and I absolutely adore that I could turn on my lights without having to get up out of bed or turn off the lights from my bed via my Alexa and everything was perfect until a few days ago, we did have a couple of power outages, but now it isn’t connected and it said it’s not able to connect. I’ve tried three different times and I’ve reset everything and deleted the app and reinstalled it and it’s still not working. I’m hoping that I could get some help and someone could possibly walk me through how to reset it because the lightbulbs are not even two months old so surely they can’t be blown out already. Kindly respond. I already submitted a request for help as well as left my email and phone number thank you so much but other than that, I give this item 5 stars for sure and I absolutely love the app!

   The bulbs work very well once you pair them. The paring process is very painful, I hope all smart bulbs aren’t that hard to pair. It makes me not want to buy more. But after you pair them they work really well so I would recommend these because of that. The app used to be great before they started adding a bunch of pop up ads. Since, then the app glitches a lot and does not work properly a lot of the time. I’ve had these bulbs for 2 years and have not had issues with the app until they started adding pop up ads in there. I have a group of light bulbs and sometimes it allows me to control all of the bulbs in that group and sometimes it makes me click on the group so that I can see the color wheel and then it lets me control them that way. It’s annoying because having the on and off button shortcut is very convenient. I’ve had to add my light bulbs back into a group for some reason and then the shortcut would work and then all of a sudden it stopped working again. A lot of glitches it’s annoying. If it isn’t resolved soon I would probably choose another smart bulb brand. 3 stars.

5. 1/5Fully regret using Gosund

   I've had nothing but trouble with the plugs I bought from Gosund and this horrible app. I've had these plugs for a year and a half. I can't accurately control anything when I'm outside of my home wifi. The app will say that my products are on when they aren't, and off when they aren't. I have no idea if they are working while I'm gone. My schedules recently disappeared from view, I had to add new ones, yet they still keep operating on the old schedule that I cannot edit because it's gone, so I'm going to have to disconnect and reset all 4 plugs, but setting them up in the first place was a Herculean task that drove me to the edge of sanity. I've tried to use them with other apps and they *will not* connect. The app is so wildly bogged down with ads that I hate opening it. I added something to my cart once to see how much it would be with shipping, it was too much so I deleted it, yet got a million cart reminders. They are good about replying when you have a problem, but don't actually help at all. The just repeatedly insisted that I had the wrong time zone set, when I absolutely did not. I regret my purchase so incredibly much. I hate this company and I hope they fail.

   now the ad pop-up window comes up and there's no x to close it. have to restart the app and quickly get to what you need to before the ad pops up again.

   The smart outlets I have are great, but the app has become problematic. Every time I open the app, I get hit with an ad that is difficult to close, so good luck getting a light turned on quickly when you need it through one of their devices. I do have the service linked with Alexa however, so I usually turn them on & off through voice commands; I don't like doing this at night with the windows open however, so I'll stick to using the Alexa app to turn them on through a UI when necessary...

   why did u take out the timer function under the schedule settings. sometimes i just want to have my fan on for only a certain amount of time and now i cant just say hey turn off in 20 min or turn on in 20 min. no. now i have to make an actual schedule which makes no sense when this function has been available for years. whomever thought that was a good change should be fired
