  1. 5/5Great fun features & a magnitude of personalized settings

Great fun features & a magnitude of personalized settings w settings I have set to bright white at 100% to go with my morning wake up alarm and dimmed blue set for my approximate bedtime although I can override if I’m up later or go to bed earlier than normal. There’s settings to change for holidays to match like red, white, & blue for the 4th of July or red, yellow, green etc for Christmas which you can also switch to either strobe or fade. There’s a setting to change colors to music for your next house party. There’s bright white when you need to flood your room with as much light as possible, a setting for mid lighting for reading as well as a light yellow w dimming for evening/night time when you’re chilling watching TV, or brighten up when you’re reading, working crossword or word search games, putting a puzzle together etc or you can personalize with whatever color you want on the color spectrum wheel from white to light to dark Red, Orange, yellows, greens, teals, blues, purple, pinks, etc etc etc with the dark blue with same lighting effect as a “black light”. You can also set a timer so if you’re going to be away you can set it to automatically turn on & off at specified times to give the effect someone is home or if you’re going to be out and return home after dark, the light will turn on so you’re not walking into a dark house/home. I’ve not tried to set the light to turn on or off while away from home so dk if that option is available or if it connects to your “Alexa”, “Google Home” etc but if I recall correctly, that option is available. We’ve had two in the house in different rooms for a little over a year now and love them & never had an issue with either light

  2. 5/5Excellent, but not quite perfect

I have 2 of these installed on my house. Installation is pretty straightforward if you’re comfortable doing electrical work. I really like the functionality of the product, but I have a couple minor complaints about the app/automation. First, I cannot change the profile name from the default one that was assigned to me. Second, for one of my lights I set up a schedule. I have the Accent light come on at dusk at 100%, then it switches to 50% brightness at 12:30am and goes off at dawn. But the time it comes on every day is much earlier than you’d expect, and much earlier than the Accent light comes on on the other unit, for which I DON’T have a schedule. It appears that it’s determining the time to come on by time zone rather than by sensing how dark it is. I am at the extreme western end of the eastern time zone, so if that’s what it’s doing, that would explain what I’m seeing. These are really minor quibbles, though. Overall I really like the whole concept and what they do for us, from the security they provide to the convenience of not having to remember to turn on a light for someone who’s coming home after dark. I highly recommend them.

  3. 5/5Best budget automation device for ALL of my yard light needs!

So I found our Enbrighten Dual Exterior Outlet in the clearance aisle of our local Walmart, and if memory serves me right after using it for over a year, I believe I snatched it up for around $5!🤑 It’s almost as if it were Divine Intervention, because we were looking for a new automated solution for the string lights we have encasing the perimeter of our backyard. You see, Hurricane Ian happened to stop by and he crashed the party… bringing all of our lights down as he left. With that said, our original, old school, exterior timer became lost in the chaotic cleanup, and so we were left plugging in our lights at night and hoping we remembered to unplug them in the morning… LOLOLOL! Regardless, our yard had gone dark for quite awhile. Yet, that just wasn’t going to work because we have two little pups to walk at night, a crooked eyed Frenchie (Benny) and a toofless chihuahua (Opal), and so far I’ve had to chase coyotes off twice. So we really needed something that was going to not only make things easier, but would also Enbrighten our backyard and our lives up. Well, I’m sure you’ve reached the conclusion that, based off of my experience with our device, I most definitely recommend ANY Enbrighten device… shoot, it would be a win-win if you could find YOURS in the Walmart clearance aisle as well!!!💯😉🤘🏻😎

  4. 2/5Liked at first, now it’s a hassle.

I was really excited to have the ability to control our lights like this at first. This is our first time trying WiFi managed outlets. Unfortunately, after a few days, the app stopped working correctly. Lights now show on even when they are flipped off (they’re not set up backwards, they just don’t change from the on symbol to the off symbol when they have legitimately been turned off in the room). This means, I can’t manage them from off site, because I have no idea what they are doing if I can’t see them with my eyes. Sometimes I have to push three or four times to get a light to come on. Over all, it’s more irritating than just walking over and pushing the button on the outlet. The automated times work fine, but if I want to go off schedule with the app, the results are random. When I searched the app to find a solution, I found similar complaints with the warning that the company hasn’t ever fixed this issue with the app and doesn’t seem to want to try. If I had it to do over again, I would choose another brand.

  5. 3/5Functional, mostly

UPDATE: Developer responded to my review. That is very much appreciated. It shows they are mindful of concerns and, hopefully, continuing to maintain and support the app and the products it supports. So, I’m adding one star to my rating for positive engagement with users. Thank you. I look forward to future app updates that address the issues still being faced. Keep up the good work! Original Review: Login screen won’t let me fully scroll or lower the keyboard to easily tap the login button after entering password. It takes some swift and tricky moves to at least partially scroll the screen and quickly tap the button before it hides behind the keyboard again. Also, why do I have to log in as often as I do, seemingly every time I use the app again? Also, why do I have to use the app to change the time for outdoor lights to turn on? It sure would be nice to have support for a schedule that was relative to sunset in my local area. Also, why do I have to power off/unplug my outdoor smart switch every time I want to adjust its schedule (e.g., for daylight saving time because it doesn’t support automatic adjustments for local sunset) and turn it back on because the app says it is “offline?” Like, every time. Does the device fall off wifi so easily after only a few months and need rebooting that often? Other than those things, the app mostly does what it is designed for. So it at least gets more than 1 star. Could be way better. But I’d be happy with at least a little bit better. 🤷‍♂️
