5/5The only choice for EV Charging
If you are fortunate enough to live in an area covered by FPL and have an EV, you must signup for their Evolution program. It essentially allows you to fix your monthly cost of EV charging to a small subscription fee. The app raises the experience to another level by allowing you to charge at off-peak times to avoid additional charges. Just plug in your vehicle and the app does all the hard work for you. When you are not charging at home, the app allows you to easily find and connect to FPL’s vast network of DC fast chargers. They are highly reliable and located in convenient places, often near major highways. This is, without a doubt, the best the best EV charging app and the best home EV charging program.

1/5Great concept, horrible execution
I had this unit installed in July and the amount of times I need to reset the breaker to re-establish an internet connection is beyond comprehension. The unit shows connected via the Wallbox app, all the time, but week after week the FPL Evolution app will show disconnected, makes no sense. I have called support and they “claim” it’s my router connectivity because of the dual band setup, but in Florida, the majority of us have Xfinity and their modem does not allow you to separate the dual band connection via SSID, however, in the Xfinity app I can always confirm it is connected to the 2.4ghz connection and as I stated earlier, via the Wallbox app it always shows connected. The issue is the FPL Evolution app but their support team seems to want to defect the issue vs trying to fix what appears to be an app connectivity issue. Every week I have to reset the breaker, on top of it all, the app never notifies me that connection is lost…. well that’s because it isn’t disconnected, but the app says otherwise. The concept is great and is a great cheap solution for EV owners but the constant troubleshooting I have to perform in order to re-establish a connection is frustrating to say the least. I hope someone high up sees this review and forces their developers to work on the app because the app is at fault. The unit itself works great. Even support is dumb founded when they see the connection is solid on the wall box app, but not active on the FPL Evolution app.

1/5Scam
What a scam these guys are raising rates on the working class folks who don’t own a home and use public charging stations, and lowering rates for homeowners. Look out. Unless you are wealthy you are next. . They are mimicking our current regime style of raising taxes on the poor and lowering them for the rich. What a joke. What a rip off. You fat cats who voted yourselves more money should be ashamed. Don’t kid yourself, the fat cats on the board at FPL are the same fat cats who sit on the committee that voted to raise rates on the work folks without public hearings. They literally doubled the rates at the charging station overnight with barely a weeks’ notice. And that is only if you happen to read the messages in their app. It was never published in the newspaper. Not one article. Most people are still unaware of the rate hike. Where are the journalists with this story?!?This is what happens when you have a monopoly handed to one company to manage all the electricity in the the entire state of Florida. And who approved that. FOLLOW THE MONEY. Shame on each and every o e of you. A pox on each of you and your kin. This whole thing is a big sham... A huge scam. ..A giant sham…scam…damn!

5/5Best Network In Florida
The FPL EVolution network is hands down the best charging network in Florida, setting a high standard for reliability and accessibility. Florida Power & Light has made incredible strides in building out EV infrastructure, but there’s still a need for even more charging stations to meet growing demand across the state. Unfortunately, opposition groups like Charge Ahead partnerships and certain retail players such as Racetrack and Wawa seem to be more focused on preventing utilities like FPL from expanding charging infrastructure rather than taking meaningful action themselves. It’s time to let utilities lead the charge for Florida’s EV future!

4/5Shade
It was high noon on a sunny day. I had a problem reading my phone in the bright sunshine. I needed to be near the charger to have it accept my payment method, but even though I provided shade with my body I couldn’t read the screen of my phone because of the glare from the sunshine on the pavement. I had to go into my car to read the screen, then go back to the charger to try to make the correct selections. Please provide shade in the area around your chargers. This is the sunshine state!
