  1. 3/5Needs a UI/UX redesign

So many additional clicks and digging through different menus to find commonly used features. Viewing sale items is extremely cumbersome. To get to BOGO items is 6 clicks and then every variety shows so the list takes a long time to fully display. This would be better if the category was displayed and then the user could expand. It should also not require 6 clicks to get to such a valuable section. The shopping list function is equally clunky. When shopping in store regardless of how I sort the list, which only list a portion of the aisles, it doesn’t list them in any sort of order. The list goes back and forth across the store. I also can’t see an easy was to clear my list when I’ve shopped it. Right now I have to click on each item. Select Delete Item and then be asked each time if I’m sure. I should have the ability to remove all checked items and then receive a delete confirmation. I would suggest the product manager try to shop using this app. Maybe check out Publix app. It’s come a long way over the years and has become quite user friendly.

  2. 3/5Needs improvements

The search functionality works fair. The biggest issue is with the favorites and shopping list items. Neither seem to reflect todays price and typically shows the price the day the items were placed in the lists. Next is the issue with deleting the items off the list; you have to go through 3-4 steps to totally remove an item from either list. Lastly, when you declare you’re “Shopping in the store”, less than half the items indicate which aisle the product is located. I’ve patronized your business since before you moved to the current location so I generally know where items are located however, some items roll to the bottom of the list and I have to “double back” to pick up the missed items. Have your developers check out your competitions app, (Kroger’s), they have an app with better functionality. Don’t worry, I still use your establishment 90% of the time…..

  3. 3/5Needs work

The app is okay. There are several things that could be improved to make shipping easier, faster, and less frustrating. 1. Coupons: each time click on a coupon in your "on card" section to see/select the items, when you go back the entire coupon page loads again from the beginning & you have to scroll through again. 2. Scrolling: You may think only maybe a dozen items fit your search, but you have to swipe up to load more items instead of one smooth scroll or even multiple pages. 3. Stock: several items that I know I can get in store aren't on the app & the app often shows items that are rarely available. A way to update the app/online with inventory would improve this. 4. Searching: when searching a specific brand or item many of the results are completely unrelated. Even using the "departments" option is a wild mix of items. For example, searching the meat department for beef may load results such as ground beef, streaks, and.... DOG FOOD. 5. Need a way to search by diet, such as gluten free. Overall, it's usable once you figure out how to scroll & if you always buy the same items. But it could use a lot of improvement.

  4. 2/5Needs to Update more quickly

I went to update my Value Card number so that I could download coupons and update my Value Card on savings apps like Ibotta on Coupons before I went shopping tonight. One large problem. Your app does not update for 48 hours. So that means if I would like to take advantage of the coupons that Food City has, I am sure out of luck. It’s 2022. Most apps have progressed far enough that it doesn’t take 48 hrs to update a value card, it’s instant. I have two choices. I can postpone shopping for two days if I would like to take advantage of the savings, or just go shopping today. I am disabled, so going shopping is not something that is easily planned in the first place. If I use apps like Instacart to do the shopping for me, I don’t get in store savings plus I have to pay about $20 in tips. People on disability have very tight budgets. In the age of Technology, it would be nice if companies would plz make things more accessible. TY.

  5. 2/5Okay

Please, PLEASE improve the search function. While not completely worthless, it’s very close. Being able to search is such a critical function and this app has the worst of all the grocery apps I’ve used. I do 99% of my shopping online and I go to the stores with apps that are easy to use and that have the products I want/need. How can I do that if the search is basically worthless? Even just a minor improvement in the search would double my rating (and other’s ratings as well, I’m sure). Other apps have no problems and have good search functions so it can be done. I don’t know why you wouldn’t invest in improving it (unless you don’t want online customers). Otherwise, app is fine.
