   Honestly these have been such an upgrade to my fitness journey and my cooking life. I had all the books and it was worth it to have to go look them up in the downloads and keep toggling back and forth th but THIS! this makes it sooooooo easy. I have recipes that are in rotation weekly so I’ve memorized the steps and it has REVOLUTIONIZED how I eat and cook for my family. I’ve always wanted to try more and more recipes and the app just makes it so organized and practical. the fact that it’s for life and we will get all the new recipes automatically is such a flex (lol) because he comes up with new stuff ALL THE TIME. And once I got to know some basics I felt comfortable customizing and coming up with new faves based on what I had in the kitchen. Seriously this is my #1 GO TO for eating for my goals and getting my whole fam fed happily and fit. Dude. Zach, thanks man ❤️

2. 2/5Disappointed…

   I just got this app as part of it’s discounted sale. I’ve used these recipes from social media many times before and figured, why not? I’d love to have a platform that gives me access to so many recipes that have good macros! So, I bought it and was met with… a poorly put together app. It doesn’t run very well, with me having to scroll all the way back down to a recipe after clicking on one. Additionally, the ingredients and instructions for some of the recipes just have… both? Like, it’ll list out the instructions as part of the ingredients and ALSO have a separate instructions section. Along with that, the “Favorites” tab on the bottom just doesn’t work— it just shows a bunch of gray lines and 0 recipes. I really want to like this app and USE it for its intended purpose, but it isn’t user-friendly at all :/ It’s extra disappointing considering the sheer amount I paid for it as well. In the future, I would love to see all of the aforementioned mistakes fixed, and maybe an option that allows users to input the amount of servings they’re interested in making so the appropriate ingredient amounts can be altered. That would be super handy. Also, the food sections are kind of random (breakfast and lunch/dinner but also pasta having it’s own? And no meat category?)

3. 5/5GAME CHANGER

   I’ve been following FDL for years, and his page genuinely changed my life. Anyone who’s done a traditional meal prep can tell you it’s so monotonous and boring; it just isn’t sustainable. Zach’s meals have made it possible to create real, lasting change. I used to just have a couple books and a bunch of standalone recipes in my files, saved screenshots, IG posts, etc. Having everything consolidated in this single app has been immensely helpful, and the built-in calculator makes it so easy to get started. This is the only way to meal prep.

4. 4/5User Friendly, Has Some Bugs

   I didn’t have the old app so I don’t have a comparison, but I do love the way this app functions. Searching is crazy easy and I love seeing reviews right there. I’m hoping that this is where we could also post variations on the recipe to help others (especially if you’re out of an ingredient or want to sub something in). There are a few bugs, but I know he’s working on this app. Example, if you select “desserts” and then find one to look at, when you go back to the main page, desserts is still selected but there are more than just desserts there. I’m excited to favorite recipes and really hone in on my macros eating! I did calculate my macros and it seems consistent with what I’ve done before.

5. 5/5FDL V2 is 🔥

   As soon as the FDL app came out I was stoked, but when the most recent update got pushed through, it was game changing. The loading is much faster, and the “back” feature update is great! Being able to go back to the category I was looking at makes meal planning so much quicker/easier. And we get new recipes before anyone else? Sweet. If you’re looking for easy ways to make your favorite foods fit into a healthier diet, look no further. FDL is the way!
