"title": "App Needs More Polish",
"body": "1) Thermostat in app does not stay open in the background. Every time you open the app you have to select your thermostat again and wait for it to connect. 2) It takes a lot more taps on the physical thermostat to change settings than it did on the previous firmware. Making it much more cumbersome. 3) October 2023 – I’ve noticed a new error in the app, I cannot turn on heat strip mode. It shows up as heat pump and I do not have one of those. It is correctly configured on the actual thermostat as seen in the picture. Once I select heat strip mode on the physical thermostat, it then shows up in the app. But until I do that, I only see a heat pump option in the app. Would y’all please work on fixing 4) When you update the firmware on the physical thermostat, the interface in the app changes as well, which is surprising and unexpected. I would really like to see release notes on what exactly is changed before I update. 5) The thermostat has a night and day mode so that it doesn’t keep you awake with the screen being bright at night. I would like to see a schedule option where I can schedule the backlight to turn off at night and be on during the day without manual intervention. 6) When I send bugs and feature requests to email support I get a response back that they want to talk on the phone, like they didn’t understand my extremely detailed email :/ I could be wrong, but this feels like a bit of a blow off.",

"body": "I have 3 zones on this and they work well. The old one required me to get out of bed to make any changes during the night. Driving I would need to pull off to make changes. Now I can make those changes on my phone or iPad. I look forward to the future updates to including alexia voice commands. My first winter season and I find that zone 1&3 are reversed on the aqua hot system. This would be fine however the temperature sensors don’t match up. Tech support is trying to help me but they need a picture of the back of my old thermostat. I don’t have it anymore! I’ll call Aqua hot with hopes they can help. It’s still a great thermostat I did try the beta software but my entire hvac system malfunctioned in every way..",

"title": "Best option for RV, Doesn’t compare to home smart thermostats",
"body": "I have a Class A Motorhome with a Dometic system controlling 3 heat pumps plus Hydronic heating across 3 zones. This app enables me to control most of the functions of the thermostat from anywhere. I know many have had a number of issues with the app especially with connectivity which I also experienced. I had a very early thermostat (53rd made) which Micro-Air recently replaced that has resolved all of my issues especially the quirky connectivity, scheduling challenges and operational transient weirdness. I have smart thermostats in my homes from the top two players and there is a lot of functionality/features I’m used to having that just isn’t in this app or the thermostat. This app would be perfect if it was on par with what I have in my homes.",

"body": "Use the quick start guide to learn how to use this app for your thermostat. Once you learn how to use it you will be glade you have it. You can link to the thermostat by WiFi for remote access and warnings when you’re away from your RV. When you are there you can Bluetooth to it to set or change the weekly schedule. Or you can make changes without having to touch the thermostat. I love the convenience of the app and the ability to make changes to my RV HVAC from anywhere at anytime. Plus the peace of mind that if the system fails to operate properly it will warn me if the temp gets out side my set pentameters. Knowing my pets are not going to overheat or freeze.",

"title": "Great, until an “update” damages it",
"body": "When the app is functional, we’ve had a good experience with the thermostat. The app is the weak link. The developers seem to be in a bizarre cycle where just about every other iteration seems to completely disable launch of the app. It will crash every time we try to launch it Do the people creating the updates not test them before release? Version 1.54 is just the latest example. 1.53 launched fine. 1.54 has rendered the thermostat inoperable by app.",
