   The app is decent, no bells no whistles. UI looks good, but I have a few problems / suggestions that I highly recommend the developers change. - The app will cycle randomly through the level of battery protection. Given that I’m running the unit off a starter battery, this setting is extremely important to me. I come back to the fridge after being out of range to find the battery protection set at a different level than I chose. Now if the app is just glitching or if the fridge actually made the change itself, I’m not sure, however it doesn’t give me peace of mind seeing the level set at low protection when I set it at high. - Dometic needs to add a feature that shows how much and when power was drawn from the battery. For example “the fridge ran for “x” amounts of minutes using “x” amount of power at “x” time. This would allow me to track if the energy being used is within my battery guidelines. It would also allow me to verify the glitch listed above. - A change that needs to come to both the UI on the fridge itself and the app is a power setting. Sometimes when I’m driving and the fridge is starting from ambient temperature, I want to ensure that 100% of the power is being used to cool the fridge as quickly as possible. I’ve noticed that even when I set my desired temperature, it will take a considerably long time to achieve said temperature, and the energy use readouts do not read at the top of the charts. When I set the fridge 10/20 degrees lower than my desired temperature the unit gets colder much faster. Rather than deciphering a work-around I would much prefer to have a setting like “get cold as soon as possible” with protections built in. Overall decent app, as mentioned above, UI is very clean, but you guys need to add more features. And the bug regarding the battery protection needs to be fixed ASAP.

2. 1/5Since update most important function fails

   Since the new version come out Amp hours while on DC power no longer works. When I’m plugged into 12vdc the says it’s not available while running on 120vac. First screen of the new version shows it running on DC power. Reported to Dometic on March 4, 2023. They replied with an email over a month ago the it was in testing. Send a reply after 3 weeks and it could be next week when it gets released. Now over 2 weeks nothing. The only part of this app the I track is power consumption which is very important when it gets hot. Update Every time I reply to Dometic support that a new version is one week out. That response is the third time now. It almost like an AI response and not a real person. Bring back the old version that worked. You pay so much for CFX3 fridge/freezer but the most important feature doesn’t work anymore. Maybe their it’s now an AI programming the app. I was a Software Engineer has was this app able to pass Quality Control. Look somewhere else for portable fridge/freezer there is no support anymore it seems

3. 1/5It's a remote control

   It literally has zero 'smart' features. Just On/Off, Set Temp, Turn on and off bluetooth and wifi. It can track temperature but if you unplug it or turn it off all previous data is lost. Can't track power consumption on AC for some reason? I think it's laughable that I spend $1,500+ on something the size of a $200 dorm fridge and the 'brand new app' they launch has less features than the last one !! How about tracking power and temp constantly no matter what? How about scheduling temp changes or power consumption levels so people off grid can prioritize cooling during power production hours? How about any other sort of regular refrigerator stuff that in all these high tech house fridges have? It's almost the same price. I'd say, at least the fridge works well but for some reason my freezer went from its set -4° up to 9° over 12 hrs for some reason. I set it to -6° and now it's cooling back down again. 🤨

4. 4/5App is simple but works

   I got this cooler free as part of a promotion, disclaimer up front. The app controls the cooler. It’s simple but it works. The Bluetooth connectivity is nice and seems to be pretty stable in terms of reconnecting. The WiFi also works but I’ve mainly used Bluetooth. The history plot for the cooler is borderline useless. The scale is not dynamic or controllable. So you have a narrow line between -8 and 86 (in F). I’d like to see user controllable or a dynamic fit option. I’d also like to see some sort of predictive setting where the controller is “turbo” cooling. I filled the cooler with room temperature drinks last night for a party today. It takes FOREVER to cool them now. If I could tell the cooler to run beyond the normal duty cycle with the app (in the early stage I’m not going to accidentally freeze) it would be helpful. The cooler itself has some shortfalls but it’s ridiculous to see all these 1 star reviews for the app. It’s pretty good

5. 5/5Seems to work great for me

   I almost didn’t even bother downloading this app after reading the reviews but it was free, so whatever. Downloaded app, walked me through pairing. Paired no problem have been checking temps with stand alone thermometers and playing with settings throughout the day. No problem at all. It’s pretty nice. My old dometic didn’t have Bluetooth and this is a nice upgrade. Will change my rating if it gets glitchy, but for now 5 stars.
