   I love dollar general and I am 63 years old working every day to provide for myself and disabled son! Spend hours going through digital coupons and dollar general flyer ! Get to the store scan every product to make sure it corresponds with each coupon which takes me at least an hour! Only to get to the register half coupons do not come off after adding phone number! Show cashier the coupon even scan it to show her it goes with product! Still will not honor the coupon! I have contacted dollar general corporation more than once! No help at all! This has happened to me several times! I was happy to send copy of coupons screen shot and receipt! There are more than 5 dollar Generals in Mesquite ! Out of all these stores only one manager does her job!!! She investigates as long as she sees you are being honest she will honor coupon! Out of the 5 stores 6 manager rude! Even ugly ! Acting like you are trying to scam them! I have a college degree in Business Management! I know how it works! I would never ever have disrespectful managers or would I work for any retailer that did not honor their advertising! This tells the character of the establishment ! Saying employees were stealing so you can’t honor for a customer! It may be true they were stealing but that is no reason not to take care of your customers! If managers are stealing prosecute them!

2. 5/5Great idea- just wont work!

   App works as long as I’m at home under my Wi-Fi, but I don’t actually save that amount of money- and If I need to use it in the store, to bad so sad. It will not connect inside the store or even up the street. Believe me I’ve driven up the street to where I got 5 bars on Verizon 5G and it still won’t connect. Also your receipts are just impossible to understand and I don’t believe I actually got the money off on that item(s). It just shows so many cents off all the way down in various odd places. Indecipherable -Ive even tried to just total up all the savings and it still won’t come out to what coupons I had clicked and the app takes off. Please fix it so it clearly shows what and IF we are saving. For example the $5 off coupon on Sat- shouldn’t it clearly say - $5 off on $25 on that receipt? Inside it savings .96 saving .47 and store savings 2.47 etc -as I said indecipherable! And that doesn’t even total up to $5 - you see what I mean? Also wow Id love to look at and use my app in the store during shopping, but it’s just plain impossible- it won’t even connect inside the store. Wickenburg,AZ- on Tegner. Please Please fix this! I love to shop in your store but I have to go to the other stores bc I have to save money. I’ll change my review to 5 stars if and when guys do. Thanks -

   The workers are not only very professional but very personal. This is a very small town there's not a lot of commercial retail and the staff gives it the hometown fell. You can always find somebody to help you find something you're looking for the isles are always possible because they're stocking very well. The back up refrigerator is genius I've never seen that in the store I love that. I have had incident where I have lost my wallet they found it I've had incidents where I lost my phone they found it. There's always available carts and they're in good condition. They taught me how to use the app, they taught me how to utilize the coupons to the best ability and savings. And corporate finally rewarded them with a new register card Swiper thingy after the staff has suffered for months upon months with it not reading debit and credit cards and it required a specific order of putting your card in twice and then getting prompted to swipe to enter your phone number you had to enter your pin so it was like a nine step process just to pay for your items and the staff end it and assisted every single customer day and day out without complaint themselves and enduring everyone else's complaints… I want to thank corporate for finally fixing that next time don't take so long to get them a new device they took a lot of abuse and blame that they did not deserve they should all get a bonus for having to deal with that for so long on every single transaction!! There's another dollar store across the street that is always dirty isles are always blocked carts never work the staff is nasty it is the polar opposite of the Dollar General so kudos and five stars for my local Dollar General on route 17 Scenic Highway Frostproof!

4. 4/5Shopping in store w/ DG app

   I love shopping in my local DG!! But using the DG app for coupons, digital coupons, and viewing the weekly ads is something to be desired. For an example: last night my in-store cart was full of bargains and necessities. But the app would not allow me to purchase anything that had a digital coupon to apply. The apps feature of adding the digital coupon was completely useless and stubborn. I had the store manager, 2 sales/registers clerk and between the 4 of us, we could not troubleshoot the issues. So, I told the manager that I would have to go back and try to figure it out on my WiFi. I asked if they could put my loaded down cart in the back room until the next day and I would get them whether I could get the apps cooperation. They of course deny me the option to do that. So now, I have lost some items, beings that there was only one of the items. I was disappointed by this action because I was a loyal customer. I believe in shopping local stores and shops in order to keep them thriving. Even if I need to go to a bigger town or city, and the DG store are located there. I still shop locally. In the case of where my local store is and they may be out of stock on some items, then I’ll make a mad dash to get them out of my preferred location. Thank you!! Best regards Shelli E.

   I love the Dollar General App for what it is. The design has a nice flow and it’s very easy to find exactly what your looking for. The reason I rated it 2 ⭐️ is because of one major issue. I get text messages daily about saving money by using the app. Yet when I get to my local Dollar General and checkout; I never see those savings. I went a few days ago and applied all sorts of digital coupons to use at checkout. I enter my phone number at checkout to apply these savings. The machine says phone number accepted please wait while we download your offers. The total comes up and a puzzled look comes over my face. I proceed to pay anyway and look at my receipt 🧾. None of the coupons I saved within the app has been applied. I say something to the salesperson and even show them the coupons I clipped. I get told that there must be an issue with their system. So what good is an app that supposed to give you savings if it never applies those savings. Not to mention half the time your at the checkout; the cashier doesn’t give you enough time to even enter your number so you miss out on any savings that may or may not be applied. And before a reply is made to me. The machines at the Dollar Generals where I live; if you don’t enter your number before they start ringing items up; then that screen goes away and you have no way to enter it. The mobile app is tied to my cellphone number yet it just does not work! Only coupon I can use is physical coupons and even with those you have difficulty. 9 times out of 10 the cashier has to manually take off what the coupon is for.

   Would love to be able to use the app and save money with the coupons.... however trying to sign in and verify my account never works. It just keeps "processing" and never actually getting thru to the next step🙃
