   This app has been great to me! You get money back for buying certain products that they advertise for companies. Essentially, it’s like retro coupons, so instead of just not spending the money in the first place, they just say “hey, if you buy this, we’ll replace a few cents of what you’ve already spent”. You just have to make sure your “coupons” are added before you shop, or scan. It’s also great for stacking when stores have good sales going on. Sometimes you get store discounts, plus the money back on Ibotta. That is a little bit more work though making sure everything matches. I’ve been using Ibotta for just over a year and I’ve made 115$ so far. I cashed out around 110$ and transferred it to PayPal. That was the easiest way for me to spend it, without getting the runaround with gift certificates, which people seem to have issues with- reading reviews. The money was immediately transferred, and I spent it shopping online the next day! 115$ in a year isn’t a lot, but considering I didn’t have to do much to get it, I can’t complain! The only thing that I would like to see changed is on the the stores that you can connect your rewards cards to, it would be nice if you had the option to manually scan receipts as well, because they don’t always automatically give you everything you’re supposed to get from your receipt. I’m not gonna cry to customer service over a few cents here and there, but it would be great to have a little bit of the control back in that area like we used to. Other than that, I love this app!    Edited: whatever was going on with this app seems to have been straightened out! It has been working consistently for a few months now! Thank you thank you!! I love this app and am excited to be able to rely on it again! I have used this app for YEARS! It has been my very favorite rebate app! It is the only one I use anymore but that may be changing. I’ve heard great things about fetch and I think this might be the end of the road with Ibotta sadly. It used to be easy and trustworthy, now when I submit my rebates I always ALWAYS make sure to go back and make sure I got the right credit because 9 out of 10 times I won’t. The rebates match up, it reads the correct credit upon submission but when the money credit actually goes into my account it’s not the right amount anymore. Then you have the fun experience of going back and forth with customer service to get your credit.. sometimes they just give it to you and sometimes you have to send them pictures and bar codes ALL OVER AGAIN. It’s incredibly frustrating and time consuming. If this happened once in a while I wouldn’t care, that’s life. But like I said, it’s nearly every single time. To the point where if it actually does go through correctly I cheer haha. I love Ibotta and I want to stay with them, please fix whatever you changed and go back to whatever worked before.

   The concept is fairly simple. The linked accounts should be very simple. You link your reward account from say dollar general, Winn Dixie, or whatever store. You shop and receipt is atomically sent to Ibotta. They then check for items you purchased with items that provide cash back. Sounds great except a lot of the times they miss a lot of items that are supposed to give cash back. Also when I go on to Ibotta app and manually load each cash back item for Walmart. I get maybe 7-10 items checked off. Then there’s a pop up saying something went wrong. This has happened every since day one of using this app. I’ve had it for around a year. Now I’m unable to check off anymore items. I have to completely close out app and reopen it. to begin checking off items again. Thats until the last 3 or 4 times I went onto app. Now that doesn’t even get it to allow me to start checking off items again. So I have just about stopped using this app. Bing the search engine app has something similar. so does Walmart app and there’s other. Until this issue is resolved, I’ll be shopping with another cash back app. Update app is still having same issue as stated above. You can check off 5-10 items, then get an error message. Close app and reopen still unable to check anything off. I rarely use the app now and this is 100% the reason why. I have a little money saved up in the app so I’ll still periodically check it and submit receipts. But if it’s not fixed by time I hit the minimum $20 cash out. Then I’ll probably remove it just to keep from raising my stress level

4. 3/5Maybe I should’ve given it less

   There’s food and bad with Thais app however the bad outweighs the good. If you are already buying some of these items it’s great and you get cash back so who could hate that? However, more often than not you get screwed over. Recently, I went into Walmart to shop and tried to use my card and submit my receipt. However, some of my receipts when I try to submit them were saying that they were already submitted because the card was linked to my Walmart account and I did not have a Walmart account linked to my Ibotta at that time. And one of my receipts did get accepted however that was the only one and I had more than 1 to input. I tried to contact them four different times about this issue and never once did anyone get back in touch with me. The problem there is that they say that you only have the same amount of days to contact them about missing cash back as you do submitting a receipt in the first place. The receipts in question were purchased on September 5. The first receipt showed up September 6 when I seen that the other ones were showing already submitted. I tried to contact them it’s now September 17. I spent almost $100 on things that day and most of that were offers from I bought it and now I am stuck with them and getting absolutely no cash back for the things that I purchased. beware if you are using an account linked to I bought a or if you have recently deleted or unlink an account that was once by I bought it that you need to also take off your cards off of that account or else you’re gonna get screwed over.

5. 3/5At a time was a great app and money saver, now not so much

   I’ve earned a lot of money using this app over the years and it has helped in tough times. Unfortunately I have only used it a handful of times in the last 6 months because it has become so inconvenient to use, as well as not having the items I’ve repeatedly purchased over the years available, as they once were. You have to watch a video for 70% of what you want to unlock. This takes a lot of time especially when you go through sooo many categories of items that are on there, multiple times, and separated by a variety of the product. (Size/flavor/etc). And if you’re listening to music to help pass the time, it won’t continue after the ad is over. And fat chance you’ll find it available for the store you purchased it from when it’s restricted to one store, the store you didn’t purchase it from. Also a major thing is that you STILL have to unlock every item. Other apps allow you to just scan your receipt and that’s it. It finds the offer if there’s one available. Ibotta has been around for long enough to have that technology available. Most of the bonus offers now are just to recruit people to join but I’ll be among my “teammates” in no time, non-existent because it’s just become so time consuming and not much to offer after you’ve spent 20+ minutes just looking for items on your recipient, hoping to get cash back for, but sadly don’t end up with anything!
