3/5Great app, kinda pricey
Not a bad app, but a few features are missing considering the price, and furthermore the gestures can be kinda iffy in some situations. - My biggest feature request, above anything else, is the ability to view and hide pieces of target mesh geometry individually, currently you can either use the lasso or isolate one piece. I want to be able to toggle each piece in a “scene viewer” style tab. It’s unbelievably annoying to try to isolate and work on two or three pieces rather than just one and it shouldn’t be this hard!!! -Gestures work less and less the further off you get from your target mesh which can occasionally be necessary for really low poly stuff. -Settings don’t save well, my toolset keeps removing the erase tool every time I would like to add that I find it’s UV creation features to be really intuitive and quick to learn and use it’s just lacking some quality-of-life features, such as the aforementioned scene organizer. It also doesn’t have a mode specifically designed for creating UVs for a pre-existing low-poly model sans high poly which I would definitely want if I were to do more UVing in cozyblanket.

2/5Needs work
Editing my initial review: lowering to two stars because the camera needs a lot of work. If at anytime you have more than two fingers/skin contact on the screen, the camera will start erratically zooming and you can no longer pan/orbit. I cannot consistently fix this issue. In my last session, the camera got stuck inside the model and will no longer frame. Having save locked behind a license is detrimental because an app reset would likely fix the camera, but then you lose all of your work. Original Review: As a 1.0 release, this is a great start. As a learning tool for beginners, this is excellent. The app does suffer from some lack of quality of life features, but the core is there. Personally for me, I am not ready to purchase the perpetual license until these core features and perpetual license features start arriving. Suggestions: I think paywalling a save feature is silly. It is not conducive to a learning or game-ifying environment. More undo history steps would be nice Redo (three finger tap) is missing Cannot X-ray underlying mesh Extruding edges could be handy in some cases. Maybe hold a modifier and drag an edge out With perpetual license: More file type support, including FBX with multi object meshes

3/5Very good, but…
First off, the app is great. It’s a solid tool that does one thing and does it well. I spent about an hour with the demo and experienced no bugs or crashes. Hats off to the devs. However, the $90 price tag is a non stater for me. I have many $100 apps in my library and feel like I’ve gotten my monies worth on them. The scope of this app is just too small for that price tag when I can simply export my sculpts into 3DS Max, throw a retopology modifier or two on it and then do some hand cleanup. This won’t be a big time saver in my workflow, plus I use a laptop. The advantages of doing retopo on the iPad vs. the laptop simply aren’t that big. $20? Sure, in a heartbeat. $40? I’d definitely think about it and then probably buy it. $60? Eh, maybe. I’ve paid that for some similarly scoped Max plug-ins. For me, $90 pushes it outside the range of cost/benefit.

5/5the app is great
Edit: most of my wishlist about the appawhere added fast, i love this app, it still has some misfires, or not recognizing some gestures, specially when you are in small spaces of your sculpt, but still beats everything else because of ergonomics. gret aop, totally worth it. Original Review: its not frustratingly buggy but you encounter them from time to time, one in particular is the handling of scale, small objects like a shoe get clipped out by the camera view, so you need to upscale it in blender to 10x or more, the camera sometimes snaps a goes wacky all over the scene, it has a handy double tap to re center to the model, but in my experience you have to restart or it keeps happening, I still plan to use it a lot bc of portability and ergonomics, yes there are many addons and other apps that do a better job, but all of those are tied to a PC, the price is steep but this is a veeery niche app. wishlist: -import texture for reference -“apply” mirror so you can continue retopo on assymetrical but similar objects -subdivision, at least 1 level

5/5A joy to use
People in the reviews here are complaining about the price, then comparing it to Maya (expensive) and Blender (has a ton of capital from every major industry player). The price is fine - you’d rather have a subscription model? This is a niche product, it’s a joy to use, and I’m happy I paid for it. I have arthritis and doing retopo on the PC is painful, but using Cozy Blanket is very comfortable. This very nicely completes my workflow with Nomad Sculpt and Procreate. Kudos to the dev team for all of the behind-the-scenes programming magic that makes this feel so fluid and intuitive. And thank you for saving my hands. I’m doing all of my games art on iPad now, thanks to this. This app is worth the cost to me. Edit: I had an app crashing issue, sent an email to support, within a few hours they had an update out that fixed it. A++ support, very satisfied with my purchase.

Included in Retopology Pack: - Action Gallery: New menu containing all actions that can be used with the Pencil. - Action items can be dragged into slots in the toolbar in order to use them. - Double tapping an item quickly adds it to the toolbar, replacing the item below the separator and rearranging the remaining items accordingly. - Tapping and item once shows a Help panel with a video and extra info about the selected action. - Actions in the toolbar can now be rearranged: - Drag items from the gallery into a small slot in the toolbar to add a new button to the toolbar. The toolbar can hold up to 14 slots. Small buttons take one slot, large buttons take 2 slots. - Drag items from the gallery into an existing button to replace the action of that button. - Drag an item from the toolbar into any empty space in order to remove it. - toolbar configuration is preserved between sessions. - ExtendB: Extend Boundary Action - Draw a continuous path of 3 or more boundary vertices to activate ExtendB. When moving the camera, ExtendB creates a new quad strip attached to the boundary selection. - ExtendB reports the number of vertices and edges in the active boundary. - Pressing clear will cancel the next ExtendB action. - Pressing Extend will do a single strip and preserve the boundary for continuing creating strips. - Pressing Extend Once will create a single strip and clear the active boundary. - When "Automatic Steps" is active, ExtendB will create strips while moving the camera. - ExtendB can also be activated with the Pencil action by drawing a line over 3 or more vertices of the same boundary. - StripD: Draw Strips Action - Drag from a boundary quad edge to begin drawing a quad strip. The quad strip will follow the stroke and merge with existing quads. - StripD can also be activated with the Pencil action by holding down a boundary edge without moving the Pencil. - TransfV: Transform Vertices Action. - TransfV creates a set of vertices and locks their transform to screen space. Vertices can be moved, rotated and scaled over the model by moving the camera. - TransfV reports the number of vertices in the selection and the vertices that can successfully be snapped into the model after the transformation. - PinFlip: Pins and Pin Flip Action - Pinned vertices are rendered as a yellow circle. - Pinned vertices won't be affected by any relax or move action. - Pinflip can add or remove pins. If the PinFlip action starts over a pinned vertex, PinFlip will remove pins. Otherwise PinFlip will add pins. - MergeP: Merge Pair Action. - MergeP merges or collapses two vertices by drawing a line from one to the other. Useful when creating multiple consecutive merges. - TopBar EditMesh Panel: This panel contains commands that modify data in the EditMesh. - Snap and Relax all vertices in Editmesh. - Subdivide and Triangulate. - Clear Loop Tags and Clear Pins - Reworked UI for Patch Clone - Patch Clone now shows in a Panel at the bottom of the screen. - Patch Clone now shows info about the cloned patch (Vertices, Edges and Faces) Other Features: - New gesture for bridge edge loops with the same vertex count. - New gesture for partially bridging edge loops.
