   We experienced Coopers Hawk for the 1st time this year and have already been back to dine and drink numerous times. Our 1st visit, Lori was our server on our “ maiden voyage “ into the stormy seas of post pandemic dining. Lori is one of the finest servers we have ever encountered and this goes beyond our table. We watched her work the room with a flair and dedication to making the visits a lot of fun ( a good sense of humor goes a long way ). Aside Lori, who we usually try to hook up with, when she’s not avaliable , we had fantastic service from Brianna, Tierra and Rodney as well. In a world where far too many people don’t seem to want to work , it’s obvious that at Coopers Hawk, there’s a joy that transcends work,… into friendship. Again, 1000 stars in the restaurant Galaxy! And then,… there’s THE WINE!

2. 1/5Food Quality

   I’ve been a patron of this establishment since it’s open in WI. Always a destination for good food & wine. Unfortunately, our visit yesterday (9/15), was met with some recipe changes to long standing favs. The Tuna app was great, as expected! Then thins went sideways. The Wedge salad was split for us and looked appetizing, but lacking in flavor. Especially, the Blue cheese and Bacon, which are the stars of this dish. Moving on, we ordered entrees & there was more disappointing news. The Chkn Picatta, which is supposed to be lemon flavored & savory, was flavorless and the lemon garnish was candied. I could have overlooked the candied lemons if the rest of the dish met expectations, but there was no discernible sense of lemon. My spouse ordered the Blackened Tuna entree and was disappointed with the selection of Tuna. Unlike the App, this Tuna was stringy and fishy. Tuna is not supposed to be fishy. It seemed OLD and poor quality. While the updates from the remodel was pleasant & a great service experience. We were left disheartened and disappointed that it seemed as though the quality of food had diminished significantly. We’re considering canceling the membership and moving on. It’s sad to say the least, but so many establishments have closed for similar issues. We hope you guys are able to turn corner and make this experience what it had always been.

   I have been a member of the wine club for a couple years now, and I just want to let management know that Chris that works in the tasting room has always been a pleasure when I visit your establishment. Wine has always been something I have been fascinated with and have thoughts about becoming a sommelier. I have been in the service industry my entire career and managed many individuals. He is great at what he does and the entire staff at your establishment is amazing. They have always been over the top with the hospitality piece, which is something I try to instill in all my employees. Bianca, Mary, Kelly, Joey and a few others have always taken care of me. Thank you for teaching your team what a vital part hospitality plays in this industry.

4. 1/5Extremely Disappointed

   I ordered the charriscos grilled steak and drunken shrimp surf and turf combo. It was bad enough that the three (3) shrimp were overcooked, dried out and tough to chew and I was given two (2) medallions of beef that were overcooked and the roasted veggies were unevenly cooked, Plus there was an unidentified substance atop of the steak, I’ve just discovered that I wasn’t even given the steak described on the menu and that I paid $40 for. I was given a lesser priced piece of beef (2 of the 3 medallions) without being told that the steak that I ordered was being substituted by a smaller and lesser priced piece of beef. I wasn’t asked if I approved of the substitution. And then the manager informed me that I would not be able to taste a wine that I asked to taste. His excuse for that decision was that he wanted me to get home safely, even though I wasn’t driving AND I am a Certified sommelier AND Wine Program Manager and Cote du Rhône Specialist, which he knew nothing about.

   So I have been a member @ Coopers Hawk since like 2020 and the food has always been amazing. Just flat out delicious and my wife and my two daughters and their husbands have been going there like at least once a month since 2020 But this past year Coopers Hawk has NOT been the same Something is going on with the food. It’s not as good anymore at all. For one they got rid of the Turkey Burger and that was a very delicious, juicy burger. The Mary’s mashed potatoes use to be amazing but now I give it a 5 out of 10. The short rib used to be amazing and now it’s smaller portions and it’s under seasoned. It’s just not good anymore. The food has went down hill over the past year. I used 2 brag to everyone on how good Coopers Hawk food is but now I don’t know if I’m going back. I’m disappointed and my family feels the same way I do. Now don’t get me wrong the environment and the people are great. The wine tasting is awesome as well. So with all that being said Coopers Hawk has went from my favorite #1 restaurant to like 7th place. And the thing is, is that I’m never one to complain ever but I felt like I had 2 say something after this past experience.
