   Portillo’s is definitely one of my favorite restaurants of all time! I don’t live close to one, but if I pass it, I definitely have to go there. their Italian beef is so good I cannot pass it up. I would pay millions of dollars for that sandwich if my life was on the line. That is definitely my favorite sandwich of all time. My mom loves the salad so much she gets every time there too, but she also is in love with the Italian beef.

   I’m so annoyed. I went to order in-app so that I could grab food quickly on lunch, but apparently the default option for a burger on the app is a double. I’m sorry- what? I forgot people even eat doubles, that’s so much food and just so unnecessary. When you’re in store at the counter and you ask for a burger, they order you a single unless you specifically ask for a double, so why would it default to a double on the app? That sounds like such a scam for more money. If somebody wants a double, they’ll make sure it is one. But people who just want a regular burger are going to assume they’re ordering a standard single when they click the default burger. So, not knowing it put the order in as a double, I paid almost twice as much for a patty I didn’t even eat. I tried calling the location three times to ask to adjust the order and every single time it just hung up on me, nobody answered, and I ended up having to pickup a pricey order that I didn’t want but didn’t have time to go up to the counter and wait for a new one. Really annoyed with the app layout that just made my lunch so much more complicated and frustrating than it needed to be.

   Have to say Joey Ruiz should run the restaurant, he goes up and above customer service , I was never going back because a month ago our food was cold and burnt, Couldn’t understand why because since u opened food was the best , But a friend from Canada made me take her to try , I just told Joey what happened he apologized and said it should never had happened, He made sure it was made like the first few times , My friend loved it , We will call to make sure when Joey is there , he even came up to us to make use everything was good , even gave us a wine cup when we said a water cup was ok , He said nope let me go find u the right one to use , Keep that young man ,

4. 2/5Food good app bad

   I absolutely love Portillo’s, but hate using the app. When ordering on the app, it does not allow you to choose your location. If you work too far away from the store, you want to use it is a pain and cumbersome and impossible to change without going in the ditch or crashing and losing your life. The default orders for burgers and hotdogs are insane. I do not want a jumbo hotdog or a double cheeseburger. I want a single burger and a regular hotdog. Both have been ordered by me by accident because the defaults were insanely large why even have a default order let us pick what we want And finally let us choose a time for pick up so that you can make the order and have it ready when we want it ready. I am so tired of eating cold, french fries and cold onion rings. I am done ordering them so you have lost multiple sales in that category of food. Again, love food. Hate app.

   The first time many years ago, I was giving a crane training class up in Chicago! My students were from a power company there. I asked them where was a good place to go for lunch! They all said Portillo’s! I said ok, let’s go and try it!! When we got there, they recommended that I get the Italian Beef Sandwich! I did and was immediately hooked!!! Every meal was there. At the time, it was only in Chicago! Now we have a few here in central Florida! I still enjoy those Italian Beef Sandwiches just like many years ago!!!!
