3/5You Don’t Always Need My Location
My boss just had us switch to this app for scheduling and clocking in, and there’s a couple issues I have with it. First of all, the app doesn’t need to always have my location. It has worked just fine with only allowing it while using the app, but it’s been pushing me to change it to always allowing my location to be tracked, to the point where I can’t clock in. If it won’t work with “allow while using” then don’t have it be an option. The other issue isn’t as big of a deal, but it might be a nice feature to have. Being able to just give up a shift and allow other people to take it without having to use a group chat can be handy. There’s a few extra steps that come from having to use a group chat that can be eliminated if the person unable to work can post their shift and someone can take it, instead of communicating, posting to the one person, that person accepting, and then the boss approving it. Not a big deal, just an idea that comes from using other clock in apps.

I wish I was joking when I say I have literally told over 130 other business owners about this platform. It makes life so much easier, especially for employee management. Instead of using 20 different apps for various aspects of business you use one. It is so user friendly, and while I can gush about this platform for days- I’ll just say try it. I do have some suggestions for improvement— the tasks are super helpful but I wish there was a better way to organize/document/and collect the data on how long different tasks take employees to complete. A way to show (maybe an automated report) of what all employee or departments are working on, how long they take, or document challenges to workflow. Anywho, I LOVE this. Please keep up the great work!

2/5Horrible Customer Support & Super Buggy App
I have had to use this app for several months now and weekly, sometimes daily, there is an issue that gets brought to my attention about it. It’s super buggy all the time. Employees constantly have to delete and reinstall to get things working properly. I am constantly in conversation with customer support and they always need screenshots or videos to back your claim or else your ticket doesn’t get submitted. And to add to that, customer support is no help at all. There’s no way to know that they’re even working on an issue you presented to them. There’s no guarantee when they email you an issue had been resolved that it actually was(they told me this directly). And they continue to gaslight you when you when you bring an issue to them by saying you somehow caused it or make you seem stupid. I have also received direct misinformation about how a feature is supposed to work from a customer support rep after trying to get them to help me fix something for weeks. It’s incredibly frustrating trying to work with them to get things fixed and working again. I have had a ticket submitted for an issue for over 2 months at minimum and never get any updates, never know when it’ll be fixed, nothing. It’s always something with this app and it’s never a good experience talking with them.

With this app, I've gone from being a scheduling amateur to a payroll wizard, and trust me, it feels fantastic! Plus, their support team is always available to help you if you’re having a hard time with anything on Connecteam app.

I did extensive research—again and again—and kept running into the same issues: either the apps didn’t meet my needs, or the ones that came close were charging outrageous prices for a small company of just two people. That’s where Connecteam stands out. This app is truly incredible. It’s powerful, thoughtfully designed for small businesses, and best of all, it’s free. The features are not only comprehensive but also intuitive and accurate. As someone who consults and needs to submit weekly invoices, I used to dread tracking time manually in spreadsheets.
