1. 5/5Awesome, free App for tracking time for different tasks

   I needed an app to log my internship hours and this app is exactly what I was looking for. I was even able to access my logs online and make/edit entries the same way. It has a little bit of a learning curve but there is a lot of helpful documentation. My only suggestion would be adding the “Live Activities” timer feature for locked screens that shows ongoing timers. I find it SO useful for remembering and keeping track of any type of timer I have going when I get busy. It would make this app top tier for its created purpose. Thank you to the company and everyone who worked on the app for providing a useful product and giving users ability to use it well.

2. 3/5UPDATE: Used to Love This App

   Bumping my review up one star. While they have returned the caching functionality for the descriptions, the area they left to display those descriptions as the cached items are shown is so incredibly tiny as to be useless. If you have several similar items, they will all look the same and you will be randomly choosing. The developers need to look at the old functionality, and not kill old functionality with a new UI. It should be an improvement, not a step backwards. PRIOR REVIEW: They recently changed the interface, and not for the better. The app no longer remembers prior entries to autofill the information. This not only adds time to entries (a lot of time if you have repeated work on the same matter), but it also creates what are essentially duplicates but might be a character or two different. This means that when trying to create a report on a matter, the report will classify them differently when they are actually the same. This feature elimination alone causes me to withdraw this as a recommended app. Used to be great, now just mediocre.

3. 2/5Does not track earnings accurately

   I switched over to CLOCKIFY and I had great hopes. I’m an interior designer and I need to be able to track the total cost in labor for the project and to monitor when I’m close to or at the budget. I also need to send weekly reports and reports that reflect the total hours spent on a project. Reasons why I do not recommend CLOCKIFY at all… (1) The earnings/ hours worked from the reports and the earnings/hours worked tracked under the project tab do not match so I don’t even know how much I’ve worked. (2) The reports do not offer customizable dates so I cannot send the total time spent on a project if the project overlaps two different years. (3) This software is not intuitive or easy to use. (4) The CLOCKIFY app lags and glitches sometimes depending on how strong your wifi is. I lost tracking data one time because of this glitch and had to guess how much time I had worked on a project. (5) The app for tracking your time doesn’t let you easily pause a project if you happen to have two different billing rates for the same client. These are 5 huge flaws with Clockify. I went through customer service to try and determine why the hours on the project are not matching the hours on the reports and they had no answer or solution. How can I run a business and not even know what my earnings are? I will continue to search for a better software. I’m glad I only paid for two months and not the discounted 12 month option. What a waste.

4. 3/5Great app with unnecessary “online” syncing

   First off I love the app and all the functionality. I would give it five stars except for the weird and unnecessary fact that it wants you to be connected to the internet to work properly. This should be unnecessary considering none of the functionality would in theory need internet. It’s annoying having to wait for the app to “load” every time I open it because of poor internet even though it makes no sense for a timing app. And when you turn offline mode on, it doesn’t work properly and has an annoying banner at the top. I suspect they require internet for data harvesting purposes and cripple the app artificially when you turn offline mode on. In fact, I would not even care if it weren’t for the annoying loading when I open the app. Please fix this.

5. 2/5Latest update ruined it

   I loved this app. Loved it. It looked clean, it looked elegant. It was greatly functional. Then, for some reason, they pushed an update with text fields too small for the font they're using. It looks awful. It's like all the numbers and letters got their tops and bottoms chopped off. On top of that, the drop downs, menus, and general astatic went from looking modern to giving 2006 ipod graphics. Also, you used to be able to just start typing the name of a common entry, and it would show me old entires with the same name so I could quickly click and classify it as the same with all the same projects and tasks and things. Now, I have to add all those things each time. Sure, it doesn't cost me much time, but it seems like an odd feature to remove. I'm still going to use the desktop client because I love this service, but this app update is just plain awful.
