5/5Treated for a non coagulating vein/hemorrhage
My name is Pauline Heinselman, I needed treatment for a hemorrhagic vein which was not coagulating. The front desk representative, Miss Shekina, showed genuine interest and immediately processed what was necessary to ready my care with competent and professional behavior. I was triaged by MA Ruth and shortly after, I was seen by PA Brad Winkel. I am myself a medical professional, as a now retired Respiratory Therapist, and desirous to share my experience with PA Winkel. He is exceptional as he delivered an effectual treatment to the very concerning medical issue I presented. He remained, calm, composed, and yet relational, not aloof, and asked the right questions to obtain needful information in order to formulate a specific and appropriate treatment. There is more: He delivered the treatment with compassion which he exemplified by making sure I am well, feeling well while being treated, while remaining in communication with the patient, me. Please understand, PA Winkel and his Staff are competent and effectual in their duties. I would readily, but not without due respect, call him “A Gentleman who heals both, body and soul, with his Medical and professional expertise and also character strengths and values”. I am thankful I met PA Winkel and his staff and consider myself a blessed and fortunate individual to have been the recipient of his care.

This was my first time coming to Carbon and everything was extremely pleasant. From the front desk secretary being welcoming and sweet. To the NP who took my vitals, who was very thorough with a great personality! The doctor was outstanding! She made me feel so much better just by her confidence and knowledge alone! She wanting to see me again in 48 hrs to see if the medications she prescribed are helping made me feel 100% confident in her! I had an 8:15 appt and I was out by 9. Hardly had to wait to be seen and wasn’t stuck in a room waiting on the dr for 45 min like in other offices. She came in less than 5 min after the nurse! The appearance of the office was very neat, clean and sterile, but also gave off a comforting feeling… not cold ! My overall visit was great, and I will absolutely be coming back here in the future! TY Carbon !! 😊

1/5DO NOT GO TO CARBON
My first few experiences with Carbon was good but after a while they kept wanting me to reschedule and video appointment over and over again even though I have my diagnosis. Then they try to charge you extra and they immediately try to charge your card without you knowing it. I find it very ridiculous. They don’t take low income healthcare, like partnership of health plan of California and they also charged me over $600 in bills and they never even told me this beforehand overtime. They kept wanting to charge me for things, and kept wanting to reschedule an appointment, even though I have my diagnosis. It’s honestly ridiculous and not only that but I had to wait for over an hour to two hours in the waiting room. The lady upfront was also very rude and kept saying you need to come back when we’re ready. They don’t offer low income healthcare at all. It’s honestly ridiculous and they kept overcharging medication‘s and other things like that now I have to deal with all of this money that I never was intending on spending. Honestly the worst healthcare I’ve ever visited 👎

2/5Misdiagnosed
I went there for loss of hearing in the right ear. They went through two containers of fluid flushing my ear. Doctor came in and said there’s something white in there doesn’t look like wax must be an infection. Here’s a prescription for antibiotic eardrops. So after I drove nearly an hour to get to the urgent care, my gas and my time this prescription was not covered under my insurance so I had to wait at Costco until they could reach the doctor to get a different prescription of antibiotic eardrops. I put the 4 drops in three times a day as prescribed. Unfortunately, nothing helped! I was able to get into my doctor today and he put a camera in my ear and the white stuff was a huge piece of cotton had been sitting in my ear for 10 days. Had that set much longer, I would’ve had a severe infection. The people at the urgent care were very nice and the doctor was very nice. I just don’t feel he researched my problem enough to know what was really going on.

5/5Amazing service!
I’ve been having a pretty severe case of a bacterial infection or bronchitis. My doctor referred me to Carbon bc they do have coronavirus tests. I went in and they saw me - no copay! - gave me the flu test, negative. Took some chest x rays which were luckily negative too. So probably not corona and I get it, I’m a young female so they didn’t give me a test but did give me medication bc they think its a bacterial infection. They’ve been follow up texting with me and my shortness of breath has gotten worse so they’ve given me more instructions and medication to address the symptoms and asked me to come in if it doesn’t get better soon - I have a preexisting condition (asthma). ANYWAYS the point is the app is great and very user friendly. I’ve gotten responses within 4 hours every single time. I was able to come in for an appointment within 24 hours. The appointment took less than 1 hour and involved a flu test and a chest x day. They’ve followed up every couple days. Everyone I’ve talked to is just amazing and gracious. They send the prescriptions to my local pharmacy at the click of a button. It’s an amazing healthcare experience ESPECIALLY during these crazy Coronavirus times. I know I’m unlikely to die of whatever this is and I know the medical system is overwhelmed and I’m grateful to have had good, FREE (to me, my insurance will pick up the bill per govt mandate) and QUICK care.           "body": "My name is Pauline Heinselman, I needed treatment for a hemorrhagic vein which was not coagulating. The front desk representative, Miss Shekina, showed genuine interest and immediately processed what was necessary to ready my care with competent and professional behavior. I was triaged by MA Ruth and shortly after, I was seen by PA Brad Winkel. I am myself a medical professional, as a now retired Respiratory Therapist, and desirous to share my experience with PA Winkel. He is exceptional as he delivered an effectual treatment to the very concerning medical issue I presented. He remained, calm, composed, and yet relational, not aloof, and asked the right questions to obtain needful information in order to formulate a specific and appropriate treatment. There is more: He delivered the treatment with compassion which he exemplified by making sure I am well, feeling well while being treated, while remaining in communication with the patient, me. Please understand, PA Winkel and his Staff are competent and effectual in their duties. I would readily, but not without due respect, call him “A Gentleman who heals both, body and soul, with his Medical and professional expertise and also character strengths and values”. I am thankful I met PA Winkel and his staff and consider myself a blessed and fortunate individual to have been the recipient of his care.",

          "body": "This was my first time coming to Carbon and everything was extremely pleasant. From the front desk secretary being welcoming and sweet. To the NP who took my vitals, who was very thorough with a great personality! The doctor was outstanding! She made me feel so much better just by her confidence and knowledge alone! She wanting to see me again in 48 hrs to see if the medications she prescribed are helping made me feel 100% confident in her! I had an 8:15 appt and I was out by 9. Hardly had to wait to be seen and wasn’t stuck in a room waiting on the dr for 45 min like in other offices. She came in less than 5 min after the nurse! The appearance of the office was very neat, clean and sterile, but also gave off a comforting feeling… not cold ! My overall visit was great, and I will absolutely be coming back here in the future! TY Carbon !! 😊",

          "body": "My first few experiences with Carbon was good but after a while they kept wanting me to reschedule and video appointment over and over again even though I have my diagnosis. Then they try to charge you extra and they immediately try to charge your card without you knowing it. I find it very ridiculous. They don’t take low income healthcare, like partnership of health plan of California and they also charged me over $600 in bills and they never even told me this beforehand overtime. They kept wanting to charge me for things, and kept wanting to reschedule an appointment, even though I have my diagnosis. It’s honestly ridiculous and not only that but I had to wait for over an hour to two hours in the waiting room. The lady upfront was also very rude and kept saying you need to come back when we’re ready. They don’t offer low income healthcare at all. It’s honestly ridiculous and they kept overcharging medication‘s and other things like that now I have to deal with all of this money that I never was intending on spending. Honestly the worst healthcare I’ve ever visited 👎",

          "body": "I went there for loss of hearing in the right ear. They went through two containers of fluid flushing my ear. Doctor came in and said there’s something white in there doesn’t look like wax must be an infection. Here’s a prescription for antibiotic eardrops. So after I drove nearly an hour to get to the urgent care, my gas and my time this prescription was not covered under my insurance so I had to wait at Costco until they could reach the doctor to get a different prescription of antibiotic eardrops. I put the 4 drops in three times a day as prescribed. Unfortunately, nothing helped! I was able to get into my doctor today and he put a camera in my ear and the white stuff was a huge piece of cotton had been sitting in my ear for 10 days. Had that set much longer, I would’ve had a severe infection. The people at the urgent care were very nice and the doctor was very nice. I just don’t feel he researched my problem enough to know what was really going on.",

          "body": "I’ve been having a pretty severe case of a bacterial infection or bronchitis. My doctor referred me to Carbon bc they do have coronavirus tests. I went in and they saw me - no copay! - gave me the flu test, negative. Took some chest x rays which were luckily negative too. So probably not corona and I get it, I’m a young female so they didn’t give me a test but did give me medication bc they think its a bacterial infection. They’ve been follow up texting with me and my shortness of breath has gotten worse so they’ve given me more instructions and medication to address the symptoms and asked me to come in if it doesn’t get better soon - I have a preexisting condition (asthma). ANYWAYS the point is the app is great and very user friendly. I’ve gotten responses within 4 hours every single time. I was able to come in for an appointment within 24 hours. The appointment took less than 1 hour and involved a flu test and a chest x day. They’ve followed up every couple days. Everyone I’ve talked to is just amazing and gracious. They send the prescriptions to my local pharmacy at the click of a button. It’s an amazing healthcare experience ESPECIALLY during these crazy Coronavirus times. I know I’m unlikely to die of whatever this is and I know the medical system is overwhelmed and I’m grateful to have had good, FREE (to me, my insurance will pick up the bill per govt mandate) and QUICK care. Thank you Joanna, Elizabeth, Mike and Andry!!",
