4/5App is great; tipping option not
The app over all has been great for the most part. I prefer that over Door Dash’s app. You can skip even more fees but I do not like the set tipping options. You can only do 0% (which how rude is that), 15%, 20% and so on. There’s no in between. I am typically not going to do less than 15-20% anyways but I’m pretty sure a tip is what you feel that delivery person deserves based on their services and I believe there should be more customer control on this end, rather than a set amount. And then being able to edit after the order makes sense because if they show up and only give you a portion of your food (totally their responsibility to check before they leave with the food) and you just gave them a 15% tip, that’s not necessarily deserved. You technically tip more than that if you didn’t receive all of your food. I love tipping well and giving to people regardless if the service was super good or just ok, I believe they deserve to receive a lot in general, but I still feel in order to be generous (or giving what is deserves) the app takes that away. What if I only gave 0%? That makes me sick that people can refuse to give if they want (which I feel people who refuse to tip don’t deserve the service at all) but I can’t give 10%-12% if I feel it’s better suited?! For now on I may start just doing the 0% and tipping with cash. Makes more sense.

4/5Need Better Delivery Options
Went to place a delivery order. I had a gift card and entered it into the app a bit ago, I assumed it was saved and it’s not so now I have to find where I put it. Had another gift card- I don’t like that I have to enter my credit card in order to split the payment instead of having apple pay as the 2nd option (other restaurants do this). Also why is there a service fee on top of the delivery fee?? When I saw it was DoorDash I chose not to complete the order- every time they are used as a 3rd party delivery on any food apps there’s ALWAYS food missing and it’s a hassle to get in touch with anyone to rectify the situation- door dash doesn’t verify to make sure all items are there or takes and eats the food so I’ll pass.

2/5Can’t sign in with my existing Bob Evans account
I tried sending this issue through App Support, but that link sends me to a form for contacting customer service about a restaurant location. There isn’t anywhere else to actually post issues with the app. I already have a Bob Evans account that contains my order history, favorites, and payment sources. The app shows a button to SIGN IN /SIGN UP, but the process only allows an option to create an account; there is no actual sign-in process. I proceeded through the prompts, and I used my same login credentials to go through the ‘create account’ process, and sure enough, my order history doesn’t exist in the app. Bottom line, the Bob Evans website is the only place that I can actually sign in with an existing account. Existing account information apparently does not sync to the app, and the app does not accommodate logging in without creating a new account. Unfortunately, I had to delete the app for now. Hopefully, this issue will be fixed in an update in the near future. I’ll take the free slice of pie for downloading the app, but I want to login (sign in) using the account I already have to see my order history, favorites, payment sources, etc. I’ll be waiting for the fix.

2/5Dysfunctional
Despite the fact that I specifically selected the restaurant on Greenwood Drive in Springboro, my order was sent to the Centerville Location on OH State Route 48. When I arrived at the Springboro Location, I gave them my name, and the cashier said they were “still working on it”. After about 20 minutes, the manager asked my name, and mentioned she’d check on the order. After a long wait, I looked at my phone and noticed that the food was actually waiting a 15-minute drive away. Additionally, I chose broccoli as a side and received only four pieces - a quantity that seemed like an insult, given the size of the container in which the food was served. I suspect that I was provided such a small quantity, because I did not include a tip when I ordered; which I believe is reasonable, because tipping is a gesture meant to reward good service. How can I determine the amount to tip someone before I’ve even received the product. Moreover, I wasn’t even served. I picked up my own food, which was provided in a container that I was responsible for disposing of. For what work would I be tipping someone?

1/5Service
We arrived at the restaurant at 6pm and waited 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us at the hostess stand. We were told it would be a 5-10 minute wait. Waited 10 minutes to be seated, which wasn’t a problem. Waitress took our order almost as soon as seated so around 6:15pm but forgot to bring our drinks. She waited on another table and brought their drinks. We had to ask another waitress to see about our drinks. The waitress finally brought our drinks but not correct. We both ordered the 1/2 salad with cheddar baked potato soup. The restaurant nor carry out were not busy. Two tables that were seated after us got their food before we did and it was the same waitress. The order timestamp on the receipt was 6:31pm. At 6:56pm we finally got our salad and soup. I would think it wouldn’t take a half hour to put two 1/2 salads together and pour two bowls of soup. I know since Covid the service industry has experienced issues with service staff but 45 minutes for a 1/2 salad and cup of soup?
