1. 5/5The opening of a Belk store at Joplin, MO

   Belk used to have a store at Miami, Oklahoma in the 1960s. Miami used to be a prosperous town until BF Goodrich closed their doors and over 2,000 employees lost their jobs. When that happened, Belk also closed their doors to Miamians and neighboring towns. My kids were born in 1972, 1974 and 1976. I used to buy all of my family clothing at Belks. They also had the Home department. I have a silverware set, dishes etc. Everyhing sold at Belk was of top quality. I sure missed Belk and kept hoping they will come back to Miami someday. After that, Stage opened a store in Miami. It was not like Belk or as big but, similar. Stage also closed their doors due in part to the pandemic. Now I travel to Belk stores at Rogers, AR and Tulsa. OK. It really is an inconvenience. That left me with no choice but to buy online. Although I appreciate the benefit of being able to order online, is not the same. I have been a big fan of Belks for 54 years. I do hold an account with Belk. Since Macy’s also closed their doors at Joplin, MO , which is a town close to Miami, it left Miami without a quality store nearby to buy at. Would it be possible for Belk to open a store at Joplin, MO????. It is a growing town , clean, low crime rate, with a very good School System , from which I retired as a Foreing Language Teacher of Spanish & French. I would love to see Belk coming back to this area. Joplin, MO is only a 20 minutes drive from Miami. People from Miami will benefit from it. Please check it out!!!!    I spent 4 hours Monday night ordering my Christmas list for my family with my new credit card. Went to check out and it froze. Finally the site started working but several items were now unavailable. Got all that fixed but it said my total was over $5,000. Went back in and found everything was in lots of up to 10 for each item. Cleared that up and was ready to use my reward card and they wouldn’t take my I and my password. I hit the button for help getting my ID and my password but I needed to know these to get help so I decided to pay through Apple Pay but they said my shipping address was invalid. After 5 tries it took my shipping address but then it said my email address was invalid. I couldn’t deal with it anymore and decided I would go back Tuesday morning. My cart was empty. The 42 things I wanted was all gone!!! I did start all over but they wouldn’t let me use my first time shopping w my card discount! I’m unable to go shopping so I was stuck. I will be really hard up to use the site again!!!

   I have sent in numerous complaints about the terrible website for Belk’s. I ended my relationship with Belk’s and my Belk’s Elite Card. I grew up shopping at Belk’s since 1955, purchasing all my school clothes and Sunday church clothes. After finishing High School, and when I was of age, I got my Belk’s credit card. I bought all my clothes and shoes and accessories from Belk. Actually bought everything I needed to live from Belk’s. I love the bonus bucks and bonus rewards. I miss a lot of the older Belk’s. We were given so much more. Free gift wrapping, shopping bags, and the best sales than any other stores. I bought my daughter’s clothes at Belk’s until she was buying her own. She still loves Belk’s and buys. Thank you for updating the website. I can actually get to all my activity I need in one place and can see it. I like it. I am back now. Going to shop right now. 4. 1/5Beware of app updates!

   For some reason, when I last updated my Belk app, my default payment switched from my current bank to an old account linked to my Belk card that I no longer use. I made my payment in haste as usual BEFORE the due date, and did not check to ensure the bank account, as it hasn’t changed since before 2017. Totally my fault, but an honest mistake. Upon receiving a call from Belk saying it did not go through for insufficient funds. Again I logged on and made the payment again in the same way just thinking that I must have been distracted and it didn’t go through. After a second call from Belk, I realized something was amiss. This time I checked carefully and found that the default bank had been changed. However, I was told that bc in the terms it says IFs twice in a 12 mo period results in account closure, there was NOTHING they could do. It hurt my credit score automatically. I’ve been a LOYAL Belk customer for YEARS and they are “sorry and wish there was something they could do.” I realize it was my fault but it was an honest mistake. I thought I would leave this here to help some other ‘very busy and use the app for a reason’ person who Belk will NOT help if you aren’t careful!

5. 1/5Worst App I have ever used

   I am so disappointed in this app! I have made many purchases from Belk and it is the biggest pain. I like to put several like items in my cart and then decide which one I want, but your app will not erase any of the items. It will say it was deleted and then when I start to check out every single item is back in the cart. I would wait a day or two thinking it might work but no. One time I wanted a black pair of shoes and it kept coming up a different color and it would not let me delete them from the cart. I went ahead and placed my order and then I had to go to all the trouble of returning the shoes to the store. This week I couldn’t get anything to delete out of the cart. I tried it on my iPhone, my iPad, and my husband’s iPhone and iPad. I finally realized I could check out as a guest and it would work. I ordered a purse that was on sale and guess what? I was sent the wrong purse. Even in my email from Belk had the right purse. And the notice of the shipment had the right purse I ordered, but when I opened the package it was not the purse I ordered. Also before I ordered some stoneware bowls and some arrived ok, but a lot of them were completely broken. Also one of the boxes that arrived had been damaged and at least two of the items were missing. So I think you might want to re-examine how you pack such items as stoneware pieces. I need to go to the Belk Store and return the broken bowls and the wrong purse that I received today. Also I was going to use my Belk Reward Dollars, but your app was so messed up it would not take the $50 in Belk Rewards so I lost the $50. That makes me very upset! Kohl’s is looking better. I like ordering through mail order so please please fix your app!!!

   it's been messing up. usually make payments through the app but now I can't. Doesn't recognize login info. everything seems to work ok except for payments.
