2/5Service needs improvement
It is given that Flight Attendant’s job is stressful, so is flying as a customer, but a professional flight attendant’s smile and courtesy goes long way in making fliers welcoming and relaxing. I have flown to and from India 6 times in last 2 years ( with my aged father and mother) with the unprofessionalism attitude from the most of your crew, giving a feeling if we are a burden on them. When One asks for a cup of coffee and there are so many different ways to say NO. Sorry to say that such rude and hostile attitude do not belong in this profession. It makes a terrifying and scary environment thus horrible experience. At the end of the flight by saying ‘ Thank you for flying with Air Canada ‘ doesn't erase the experience. I will have hard time convincing myself to book another flight with Air Canada.

Over the years this app is improving but it’s still clunky. Try to manage a booking or use an upgrade and despite being logged in you are thrown out to an external URL and forced to log in again. The AC digital team would benefit from design thinking. Put your client and the center and developer use scenarios and ease of use journeys that are still secure, but save your customers time. The closer you can properly integrate Aeroplan and air Canada the more your customers will appreciate you. Then there is the 7 levels of menu you have to hit and click to view waiting lists on aircraft. It’s so hidden people rarely know it exists. So this is an okay app, has come a long way, lots of work to do. Get some customers in your design labs.

1/5Worst airline ever
First things first, the food is absolutely awful. I was on 4 flights and each of the foods were disgusting. 4 of my friends ate it and 2 of them threw up and the other 2 had stomach problems. One of my friends that ate the food and threw up. It was so bad that he was put in a wheel chair I ate a little and started feeling queasy. Second, the airline WiFi is trash. It’s says free but it does not work to connect. My thought is that that they forcefully make you pay 30 bucks for a decent working wifi. Lastly the service is not the best but could be better, I needed help and they did not come to my seat ever, even tho I called assistance 3 times and whenever I asked to help me when they were right next to me, they said that would come right back snd they did. 2 hours later or they just ignore you. Would not recommend for any travelers. Do not eat the broccoli or chicken. I would make sure to pack a throw up bag just incase. I asked for a water and they forgot about it. Movie quality was not that good and the apple juice tasted like chicken broth. 1 star

2/5Not what it was a few months ago
YXE was fine. In YYX, the Signature lounge had such a long line to get in, that many people gave up and went elsewhere (which, thankfully did make the line shorter). However, once seated for a nice dinner, “entertainment” was provided by several families that included screaming babies, small children who ran around everyone, and teenagers talking with friends on their phones! The boarding process went extremely smoothly, and a cabin staff member even asked if she could help put my carry-on bag in the overhead bin. But, that was the last spontaneous service. During the next six hours, there was no offer of a second small bottle of water. One had to ask for something to drink with breakfast, and only after the dishes were cleared did a tea bag in a cup of hot water appear. No offer of any sweetener, and no saucer on which to put the tea bag in order to drink the cup of tea! Maybe I missed it, but this was not the wonderful Air Canada experience we have grown to enjoy an expect. And, I don’t think it can be reasonably attributed to the increased price of jet fuel.

3/5Can’t add Aeroplan to wallet if region is not set to Canada and app uses too much bandwidth
Apparently, AC won’t let you add your Aeroplan card to the iOS wallet unless your phone region is set to Canada. So for us expats that live in the USA but travel to Canada frequently we can’t collect points on affiliate purchases without carrying a physical card and pulling it out like a caveman. Also, the app requires way too much data bandwidth to operate properly or at all and that can be a HUGE problem at places like airports where both mobile and WiFi hotspots can be overburdened. Places like Austin and San Francisco and even Toronto airports all suffer from these issues. Literally couldn’t use the app at AUS just recently because 4g, 5g, and airport WiFi were just swamped. It’s like the people that designed this app don’t travel and test the app in the real world.

          "body": "It is given that Flight Attendant’s job is stressful, so is flying as a customer, but a professional flight attendant’s smile and courtesy goes long way in making fliers welcoming and relaxing. I have flown to and from India 6 times in last 2 years ( with my aged father and mother) with the unprofessionalism attitude from the most of your crew, giving a feeling if we are a burden on them. When One asks for a cup of coffee and there are so many different ways to say NO. Sorry to say that such rude and hostile attitude do not belong in this profession. It makes a terrifying and scary environment thus horrible experience. At the end of the flight by saying ‘ Thank you for flying with Air Canada ‘ doesn't erase the experience. I will have hard time convincing myself to book another flight with Air Canada.",

          "body": "Over the years this app is improving but it’s still clunky. Try to manage a booking or use an upgrade and despite being logged in you are thrown out to an external URL and forced to log in again. The AC digital team would benefit from design thinking. Put your client and the center and developer use scenarios and ease of use journeys that are still secure, but save your customers time. The closer you can properly integrate Aeroplan and air Canada the more your customers will appreciate you. Then there is the 7 levels of menu you have to hit and click to view waiting lists on aircraft. It’s so hidden people rarely know it exists. So this is an okay app, has come a long way, lots of work to do. Get some customers in your design labs.",

          "title": "Worst airline ever",
          "body": "First things first, the food is absolutely awful. I was on 4 flights and each of the foods were disgusting. 4 of my friends ate it and 2 of them threw up and the other 2 had stomach problems. One of my friends that ate the food and threw up. It was so bad that he was put in a wheel chair I ate a little and started feeling queasy. Second, the airline WiFi is trash. It’s says free but it does not work to connect. My thought is that that they forcefully make you pay 30 bucks for a decent working wifi. Lastly the service is not the best but could be better, I needed help and they did not come to my seat ever, even tho I called assistance 3 times and whenever I asked to help me when they were right next to me, they said that would come right back snd they did. 2 hours later or they just ignore you. Would not recommend for any travelers. Do not eat the broccoli or chicken. I would make sure to pack a throw up bag just incase. I asked for a water and they forgot about it. Movie quality was not that good and the apple juice tasted like chicken broth. 1 star",

          "title": "Not what it was a few months ago",
          "body": "YXE was fine. In YYX, the Signature lounge had such a long line to get in, that many people gave up and went elsewhere (which, thankfully did make the line shorter). However, once seated for a nice dinner, “entertainment” was provided by several families that included screaming babies, small children who ran around everyone, and teenagers talking with friends on their phones! The boarding process went extremely smoothly, and a cabin staff member even asked if she could help put my carry-on bag in the overhead bin. But, that was the last spontaneous service. During the next six hours, there was no offer of a second small bottle of water. One had to ask for something to drink with breakfast, and only after the dishes were cleared did a tea bag in a cup of hot water appear. No offer of any sweetener, and no saucer on which to put the tea bag in order to drink the cup of tea! Maybe I missed it, but this was not the wonderful Air Canada experience we have grown to enjoy an expect. And, I don’t think it can be reasonably attributed to the increased price of jet fuel.",

          "title": "Can’t add Aeroplan to wallet if region is not set to Canada and app uses too much bandwidth",
          "body": "Apparently, AC won’t let you add your Aeroplan card to the iOS wallet unless your phone region is set to Canada. So for us expats that live in the USA but travel to Canada frequently we can’t collect points on affiliate purchases without carrying a physical card and pulling it out like a caveman. Also, the app requires way too much data bandwidth to operate properly or at all and that can be a HUGE problem at places like airports where both mobile and WiFi hotspots can be overburdened. Places like Austin and San Francisco and even Toronto airports all suffer from these issues. Literally couldn’t use the app at AUS just recently because 4g, 5g, and airport WiFi were just swamped. It’s like the people that designed this app don’t travel and test the app in the real world.",
