1. 1/5Worst app mobile and costumer care

   As I was trying to place an order with the deal that’s going on where we are able to receive an additional 10% off jeans purcahse when using AE CC I added a gift card of 30+ dollars and was going to be using my American Eagle credit card to finalize my purchase and be able to use and take advantage of the deal of the additional 10% off, however the app and system would not allow me since it would remove the 10% off every time I would add my gift card. I don’t understand why this would even be a thing or an issue if it’s a gift card that you’re trying to use as a form of payment in addition to the credit card so it shouldn’t cancel out because I’m still using AE cc to pay. When I made some time to call customer service I was helped by a representative that unfortunately seemed to be falling asleep or under the influence of a substance because they were completely out of it. It felt like a was talking to a wall, I was on the phone for 20 minutes, providing information and repeating myself and unfortunately, I was stuck with not being able to receive the help that I should have. I don’t understand how American Eagle is hiring this customer service agents where they are little to no help. It’s frustrating and they need to make some changes.

2. 5/5AMAZING APP

   I find this app incredibly easy and convenient to use. You can view clothing by men’s or women’s and then it is sorted even further into the type of clothing (swimwear, jeans, T shirts, long sleeve shirts, underwear, socks, accessories, cologne...... etc.). The only problem with all this is that I end up buying a lot of clothes which means I spend a lot of money because it’s just so easy. One click and you’re looking at any type of clothing you desire!! Although a lot of the clothing will remain the same from week to week, at the same time, the clothing is always changing while older clothes are becoming less expensive. There is an amazing amount of variety and styles to choose from - WAY MORE than in the store. Another feature that I love is the “favorites” menu. You can add anything to your favorites and come back at a later time and pull up all your favorites (at which time you can find them on sale). If you click the AEO tab on the app, it tells you all the current sale offers so if you have missed an add for a sale, the current discounts are at your fingertips. And another great feature that I love is that with one click you can view your order history for as long as you’ve been ordering as far as I can tell. After you have ordered you receive confirmation via email of your order and then, lastly, you receive another email when your order is in route and it even has a tracking tab so that you will know exactly where your package is at and when to expect it.

3. 5/5This app is amazing but I have some suggestions (:

   Everything about this app makes it easy to shop and order things online. It works smoothly. I’m on it a lot! The one thing I wish I could do is organize my likes/favorite clothing. It’s difficult to find a certain shirt or whatever because I may have liked it a long time ago and have to scroll all the way down. It’s just hard to find and is sometimes faster to just go look. For it on the regular page. I also hate how when you’re in your likes and you press on a piece of clothing then go back it takes you all the way back to the top of the page! I also think another great thing to have is a notification when one of your likes/favorites go on sale!! I would absolutely love this. One last thing, I wish you could save the size of a likes/favorite piece of clothing. I’ll sometimes try it on it store and decide that I’ll wait till it goes on sale or order some online only clothing with it for a better deal and I don’t always remember the size I tried on! It would make it easier to save a size also. Overall great app, but I think these things could make it even better

4. 2/5Love the clothes but hate the glitches at checkout

   Before I start this review, I just want to say that I LOVE American Eagle’s clothes. Sadly, over the past two weeks I have been trying to order some clothes on the app AND the website but every time I try to check out, there is always a problem. I was very excited about their recent clearance sale, so I added a cute hoodie, tank top, shirt, and sunglasses to my cart. When I went to check out and AFTER I put in all of my card information, it said that the hoodie and tank top were SOLD OUT. Why would it wait to tell me AFTER I put all my information. I was so excited to get these items, but I wasn’t going to give up. I got my laptop, went to the website, and saw that the hoodie in the size I wanted and the tank top in the size I wanted were still available, even though the app told me they were sold out. So, I added them to my cart, I put all my information at check out, and the site tells me to remove the items because they are sold out! This is ridiculous! A few days later, I was curious to see if the app and website finally updated that the hoodie and tank top in size large were sold out, but guess what!! The site still stated that these were still available!! This is just misleading and wrong, because so many people probably think they are going to get to purchase these cute items, only to find out after hours of shopping that they are sold out! American Eagle NEEDS to fix this problem ASAP. This problem happened to me twice in the same week with different items, not including the hoodie and tank top. Very disappointed.

5. 5/5TL;DR 10/10 would recommend!

   I absolutely LOVE this app. Everything about it. It’s simple, easy to navigate, and looks nice. I really like how easy it is to keep track of my AEO connected with how many points I’ve got and how close I am to free jeans/bras. It’s so easy to keep track of and it’s so easy to keep track of all my past orders (and let me tell you, there are a lot😝) and current offers. Another thing I really like is that it makes me log in when I go to MY AEO, I love that little extra security feature in case someone were to get ahold of my phone. I HATE going into stores and trying things on, I pretty much always have, so that can make online shopping hit or miss, but I very rarely have an issue with sizing when I order through American Eagle. Only once on a different fit of jeans did I have an issue, but that’s it. I’ve found that the size charts are VERY accurate (I’m 5’4” and weigh 136 pounds) and the reviews are always so helpful with size, quality, fit, et cetera. Another plus to the app (I’m rambling but I’m almost done here) is that as soon as you open it, right there on the top of the screen is the current sales/promotions going on. You can’t miss it. Bottom line, 10/10 I would recommend this app. And if for any reason I ever have a problem, once I get ahold of customer service via live chat or by calling them, they are always so helpful and so nice. I had to wait about 10 minutes one time, but it was worth it because once they got to me and helped me out, I realized they actually care about helping their customers. I’d rather wait for good customer service than not wait for poor customer service any day of the week.😁
