Skip Silence: Tired of long pauses between sentences? Abookio can now automatically skip silent gaps during playback. Choose from three sensitivity levels in the playback speed sheet. Volume Normalization: No more reaching for the volume knob when chapters get too quiet or too loud. Enable normalization in the playback speed sheet and choose Light, Medium, or Strong to keep loudness consistent throughout your book. Discover Tab: Explore top audiobooks across genres like Fiction, Thriller, Sci-Fi, Biographies, and more, all in one place. Sections load simultaneously and are cached locally, so browsing is instant even offline. You can hide the tab in Settings → Appearance if you prefer a cleaner look. Read History Preserved: Deleting the files of a locally imported audiobook no longer wipes it from your Started and Read lists. Your reading history stays intact. French, Spanish & Chinese: Abookio is now available in French, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese. Bug Fixes & Improvements: Improved iCloud sync reliability, fixed a startup warning related to cloud accounts, and various under-the-hood stability improvements.

iPad Support Abookio now runs natively on iPad with an optimised layout designed for the larger screen. Redesigned Audiobook Detail View The audiobook detail page has been completely redesigned with a cleaner layout and improved navigation. Home Screen Widgets New widgets show your currently playing book and recently played titles at a glance. Rotary Cover Scrubbing Press and hold the cover art in the Now Playing screen to scrub through your audiobook with a rotary dial — one full turn equals one hour. Instant Bookmark Hold the bookmark button in Now Playing to drop an instant bookmark without opening the sheet. French Accented Characters Fixed Audiobooks and folders with accented characters (é, î, â, ü) can now be imported correctly. Bug Fixes & Improvements Fixed widget progress percentage for multi-file audiobooks. Fixed sleep timer firing unexpectedly. Weekday labels in Listening Stats now adapt to your device language.

Custom Sleep Timer: Set any duration with the new hour and minute picker. Your last choice is saved and pre-filled next time. Progress Label in Now Playing: A new label below the progress bar shows your completion percentage. Tap it to switch to time remaining. Audiobookshelf SSO: Sign in using your server's OpenID Connect provider. The option appears automatically when your server supports it. Live Widget Progress: Now Playing widgets now update every minute while listening, no need to reopen the app. Chapter Navigation Fix: Skip Silence no longer triggers immediately after tapping previous or next chapter, making it easier to jump through multiple chapters quickly. Storage Cleanup: Duplicate audio files left over from a previous import bug are automatically removed on first launch. Bug Fixes: Progress is reliably saved when leaving the app or when the sleep timer fires.
