Important Note for this version: * We're still working on getting approval from google for google drive api usage, for now, you would need to continue despite the risk mentioned by google, if you choose to. We should have this resolved by April 20th, no need to update the app, it will just fix itself - please bear with us... Lots and lots of bug fixes & improvements: • Fixed an issue where importing audiobooks from the Files app would fail with a "file type not supported" error — all file types (MP3, M4B, M4A, AAC, and more) now import reliably • Fixed incorrect cover art being fetched from Google Books for some titles • Fixed a bug where skipping chapters quickly could leave transcription stuck in a permanent "in progress" state • New: a notification dot appears on the Characters button when character data is ready, so you won't miss it even if you were away from the app • Improved transcription reliability and error reporting

This update fixes two small issues so Bloox stays out of your way: - Your listening sessions now stay in one piece. Jumping between chapters or scrubbing around in a book no longer splits a single sitting into a bunch of tiny sessions in your stats. - Transcripts and summaries are more reliable. If you skipped through chapters quickly, a chapter would sometimes get stuck without a transcript — that's fixed. Thanks for listening with Bloox!

A bigger update this time — fresher look, smarter Siri, and a more reliable Now Playing experience. What's new - Warm visual refresh — Bloox now uses a warm gold-and-bronze palette across Library, Last Session, Chapters, Streak, the Google Drive picker, and the Transcription tab. - Better Siri voice control — "Hey Siri, play audiobook" / "Hey Siri, pause audiobook" now do exactly what you ask, even mid-playback. "Hey Siri, play" right after launch reliably starts your last book instead of doing nothing. - Smarter character cache — books imported with slightly different filenames ("Doors of Sleep" vs "Doors of Sleep [Audible]") now share one cached character set, so characters appear faster across devices. - Better Google Drive imports — large folders no longer truncate at 100 items, fixing "no audio file found" errors on bigger libraries. Polish & fixes - Now Playing — the health warning chip no longer overlaps the title and author. - Progress bar — the gold fill now aligns precisely with the percentage pill, no more corner wedges. - Character badges — the badge no longer sticks on books that don't have characters after relaunch. - Reliability — fewer playback hiccups, additional crash reporting around playback failures, and concurrency hardening so issues surface and get fixed faster.

Save the moments that matter — smart bookmarks are here and many more updgrades and bug fixes! What's new - Smart Bookmarks — Save moments while you listen; each bookmark is tied to what was just said, with a short on-device recap you can read later. Browse bookmarks per book in the book info sheet, or open **All Bookmarks** from the Library. - New: a "where you left off" home-screen widget — add the medium Bloox widget for a quick on-device recap of the last scene, the chapter you were in, and a one-tap Resume. Your feedback at work: More control over how you listen — finer speed, a smarter sleep timer, and a few quality-of-life touches. What's new - Playback speed slider — Lots of control, custom playback speed slider added! - Sleep timer improvements — A soft chime plays about a minute before your sleep timer ends, and snooze capability added. Turn it off in Settings → Sleep Timer if you don't like it. - Time remaining in book/chapter flipper — Tap the book-progress time on Now Playing to toggle between time left in the chapter and time left in the book. - Smart Rewind on resume — Optionally rewind a few seconds when you come back to a book after a long break, so you never lose the thread. Enable it in Settings → Smart Rewind. - Lock screen scrubbing toggle — Turn off the lock-screen/Control Center progress scrubber to avoid accidental pocket-skips (Settings → Playback). This update adds two big new ways to use Bloox: Chat with your book, now in beta You can now ask questions about the book you’re listening to and get answers grounded in the transcript, right from a new Book Chat tab. Import over Wi-Fi Add audiobooks straight from your computer’s browser over Wi-Fi. No cables, no cloud upload. Look for the new upload option in your Library. Also in this update: * A new first-run guide explains how live transcription works the first time you open the transcript view. * Improved dark-mode backgrounds on empty and loading screens. * Smoother keyboard behavior. * Stability fixes and behind-the-scenes improvements. Some things that were fixed below, much more fixes and features that were requested are on the way - keep the feedback coming - your wish is my command! - Audiobookshelf: fixed downloads that silently did nothing on some servers, so your books now import reliably. Connection and download errors also explain what went wrong and how to fix it. - Audible: fixed a crash that could happen while importing certain books. - Multi-file books: import a folder of chapter-split files (for example several MP3s) as a single audiobook, instead of only the last file. - Re-importing a book: deleting and re-downloading a book now fully refreshes it, so corrected files take effect without reinstalling the app. - Skip controls now show your chosen skip length (for example 15 or 45 seconds) instead of always showing 30. - Google Drive/iCloud: fixed search in the import browser, including titles with apostrophes. - Lock screen and widgets: more reliable Now Playing info and resume from the widget and Siri. - Book Chat (beta): reliability and answer-quality improvements. - about 768,939 more Stability and polish improvements :)

Just made it easier to get started, and fixed some bugs - please keep the feedback coming - it's so appreciated!! - New listeners can now see Bloox in action immediately with a complete bundled Sherlock Holmes short story, including audio, live transcript, characters, catch-up context, and Book Chat ready to try before importing. - The first-run experience now offers a clearer choice: jump into the sample story or import your first audiobook right away. Existing libraries are left untouched. - Sample content cleans itself up once you start importing your own book, so your library stays focused on your audiobooks.

Good news bad news: Good news - we're getting bigger - lots of new users, reporting feedback, asking for features and getting them Bad news - Amazon/Audible is claiming that importing from Audible is against the rules, and have threatened me with their lawyers :( While I investigate this issue, I had to turn off Audible imports - I'll work directly with their partnerships team to see if we can resolve this amicably, and get this feature back to you, but for now, it's suspended... Notable changes in this relaese: - Audible is suspended - Direct Audible import is temporarily unavailable. The Import from Audible button explains why and links to other ways to add books to your library. - Bookmarks are greatly imporved, thanks to your feedback - Share bookmarks as images or text from bookmark details, the book info sheet, or your full bookmark list. - Playback issues reported on reddit are fixed - Clearer playback errors when a file is damaged or cannot be opened, including a check at import time so bad files are caught early. - Transcription issues reported in the app are fixed, hopefully fully - Improved transcription reliability for long or slow first-pass analysis on some books. On the bad news - Audible is still suspended - I'm working with Amazon, but so far, no good news :( - Apple Watch remote - Control Bloox from your wrist with play/pause, skip forward/back, progress, chapter context, resume, and playback speed controls. - Settings refresh - A cleaner Settings screen makes feedback, ratings, AI features, and app preferences easier to scan and adjust. - Better feedback reports - Bug reports can include diagnostic logs, offline submissions queue instead of hanging, and you can optionally leave an email after sending if you want a follow-up. - Playback reliability - Chapter scrubbing now stays pinned to the current chapter, and playback starts at the saved position without briefly jumping to the beginning. - Character lookup recovery - Slow or interrupted character identification now recovers more clearly, with better empty and failure states. - Audible import compliance - The direct Audible importer has been removed from the App Store build while import guidance remains available.

Bookmark playback - requested by a bunch of you, hardware skip button setting (for airpods and carplay) fixed to match what you wanted, import from computer is now better, hopefully will solve some of the issues that were reported, and transcription is much better now! - Play from a bookmark — Jump straight into playback from any Smart Bookmark, and quickly return to your latest spot if you jump back to an earlier one. - Hardware skip buttons, your way — Choose whether the track buttons on AirPods, Bluetooth devices, and CarPlay skip by chapter or by your custom skip interval, in Settings. - More reliable Import from Computer — The Wi-Fi upload screen now warns when the shown address can't be reached from your computer (VPN, cellular, or no Wi-Fi) and offers a quick retry, so uploads no longer fail silently. - Better transcription reliability — Fixed an issue where certain audiobooks could fail to transcribe over and over; they now recover automatically. - Other — Settings polish and under-the-hood improvements.
