1. 5/5Love it, but please add stretching!

   Several years ago, I faithfully attended a Zumba class in person and saw massive benefits- I went twice a week & swore my pants were looser by Friday every week! After relocating, I tried another in-person class, and it just wasn’t the same. I have tried online Zumba before but didn’t love it either. I recently saw a Zumba App ad, and for some reason it spoke to me again. I decided to give the 7-day free trial a shot, and I am LOVING this! It’s reminding me of my first class I adored, but I am able to work out at home when my children are sleeping. Definitely feel like I’m getting my spark back! My one request is that each routine ended with a cool down/stretching song. Since I am a novice, I’m not sure how to best cool down & recover to prevent soreness & promote flexibility. Maybe there are options somewhere in the app, but I can’t find them.

2. 2/5Workouts don’t record

   I love the actual workout, but I did the welcome out two days ago and it prompted the next day that I would be starting some program and it’s been two days and my welcome workout has not recorded the program that I was interested in is not there because I have to complete the welcome program which I already did. I was told that it could take up to two days but now it’s been more than two days and I want to do my workout. I think bodi he’s getting Zumba so I can cancel this app.. their app records everything. Update: so I’ve done more workouts. None of them record. I’m just going to delete the widget and cancel this after a year since I paid for the deal. And I see a lot of people having the same problem and their support people only have the idea to delete the app and add it again, which was just a waste of time and took an extra 30 minutes out of my day because I didn’t remember the password and I was on with support and it didn’t even work. So the workouts are great. The app is super disorganized and dysfunctional. Like I can’t find the next workout in the series that I started anytime so I guess I’m doing a random ones. And it still keeps prompting me for the welcome workout, and I tried to “schedule” it for next year, and it still keeps prompting me for it. It’s infuriating cause I’m pretty in shape so i don’t wanna keep doing entry level stuff. There’s no classes anywhere near me unless I want to join a gym which I don’t.

3. 5/5Good workout, makes it easy to work out at home!

   Zumba is not a workout app I had in mind when trying to find something to do from home. But I really like the app. I like that I can cast it to my tv and that there’s a Zumba step counter, heart rate, and calorie counter for your Apple Watch that then goes into your fitness app. I think it’s great that they give video and plan recommendations based on what your goals are. I like that the workouts are guided. I really enjoyed finding out that not all the video are dance videos but I love the Zumba dance videos also. It’s just a lot of fun and I like the challenge but also that I can pick the intensity. There’s so much that surprised me about this app. I’m happy I gave it a try.

   *Edit: Work on your customer service skills! I don’t appreciate your condescending reply. You were not clear in the terms of your subscription details so maybe you should work on that instead of talking down to your customers!! And I would like to add that I don’t believe for a second that you will share details with your team nor do you care. You already have my money so you got what you wanted. This app is something I will never use and I will never recommend to anyone. They don’t let you do a free trial for a weekly subscription-only a yearly-which I think is shady on its own. I thought I had one more day to cancel and cancelled within a short time after apparently being charged and customer service refuses to budge! Awful in my opinion. This is ridiculous as I have had apps in the past that will refund you if this happens. This app seems to only be in it for the money. I didn’t get much use out of the trial and now I’m out $100 for no reason.

5. 1/5Am I using the same app?

   I took a Zumba class religiously when I lived in San Francisco, but couldn’t find an instructor I liked when I moved away. When I kept getting ads for the app I was hopeful I would be able to enjoy the classes again from home. Signed up for the yearly subscription to supplement my Apple Fitness + workouts but sadly forgot to cancel before the trial period ended. PROS Variety of world music and dances that Zumba is known for. CONS 1-Minimal verbal cues from instructors. Most of the time they say “watch me” and that’s it. No countdowns, or cues to switch sides or go on to the next step. So you have to constantly keep your eye on the screen. 2-I’ve been doing the dance workouts in Apple Fitness consistently since October and I find the “low intensity” workouts on this app to be too fast paced and jam packed with moves. Perhaps I could have kept up in my 20’s but not in my 40’s. I’m struggling to keep up and it affects my enjoyment of the workout. 3-Most of the instructors are doing every routine full out with minimal instruction or adjustments. Also they have messed up the routines in the middle of the workout on multiple occasions. For the price you would think they could edit the videos before publishing. I’ll continue my workouts on Apple Fitness and check in on this app occasionally to get my $90 worth but I won’t be renewing. Very disappointed with the app experience. Wish they would do more quality control with instructors so as to have a more uniform experience for customers.

   I love Zumba and this app got started on a path to a healthier and fitter me. All from the comfort of my living room. The only issue I have with the app is that you cant exit a video and come back to it later. I am a stay at home mom and have to sometimes pause and come back to the video and if I somehow end up exiting the video it counts as a workout and I have to fast forward in the next. That bothers me.
