  1. 5/5Not Ideal for Beginners Anymore

I really loved the Crush It app because it was great for anyone; whether you were a full time student and working full time or even had kids. The beginner at home program was perfect because it was realistic and manageable between 20-45 minutes of a workout per day. Additionally, at week 4 you could really see substantial results that it was even more motivating to finish the program, something that is both feasible and really works! The biggest issue that I currently have with the new We Rise app is that the “at home beginner” is both much more lengthy and requires a lot more equipment like a gym bench that most people do not have at home. The workouts are now about 90 minutes long 3 days a week which I don’t feel is sustainable for a beginner program to start. Additionally, for those that even are at a more advanced level, the 30-45 minute exercises were much more feasible for anyone because it is very hard to make excuses for time constraints when you only need to dedicate less than an hour of your time a day to fitness. I feel that at the bare minimum We Rise should include the old Crush It workout program at the beginner and intermediate levels at least so that people can have the option to choose a shorter beginner program or longer, perhaps more intense one if they would like to. Everyone who originally joined Crush It already loved many of the old programs and though we have grown in our fitness journeys, that does not mean the old programs should be completely gotten rid of. I still feel the Crush It programs are actually ideal for beginners that provide significant results despite being less time intensive and less variable number of exercises. They have proven success for me and many other customers which shows that they work, and although We Rise may be an “upgrade”, I still feel that eliminating Crush It entirely does a disservice to a portion of the original Crush It community and should be there to always return to or for newbies to start with because it is much less intimidating in my opinion than the current 12 weeks We Rise programs.

  2. 4/5Enjoy the app, but…

I was using the crush it app and have since subscribed to WeRise. I enjoy the content, but I notice some issues and cannot figure out how to report them. The 2 issues I have is: 1. When you complete the warm up it then shows you the next days workout to continue with instead of allowing you to just start the current days workout. It is inconvenient to have to go back to all workouts, re-select your current week, and then re-select the workout you just completed the warm-up for. 2. During the warm-ups and exercises that are timed and instruct you to complete 30 seconds on each side…after 30 seconds it progresses to the next exercise and does not begin the timer for the next side or even continue for a full minute so you can complete both sides. Which means you have to wait for the next exercise to begin and then pause it while you finish the other side for the previous exercise.

  3. 5/5PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING THIS APP

I am utterly disappointed with the appalling lack of customer service exhibited by this trainer and her company. Despite reaching out to them about my health condition and school being in the way as well, all hindering my ability to commit to workouts, they callously disregarded my email. It is evident from their neglect that they prioritize profit over genuine concern for their users. This company's disregard for customer well-being is nothing short of egregious. I vehemently advise against patronizing such a company, as they are clearly more interested in swindling customers out of their money than providing satisfactory service. My simple request for a refund, considering I haven't even utilized the app, fell on deaf ears. This level of indifference is unacceptable. UPDATE: the matter has been solved. They did take care of the refund.

  4. 3/5Great workouts - App glitches are consistent

I really love the workouts in this app. I signed up for the 45 day challenge and woke up early to get started on it and it still had not been released. I had to wait until my lunchtime to get the workout in. When I signed in on my lunch break it showed that the program was ready, but there were no workouts meditations or anything to follow. Later in the afternoon I received a notification that popped up on my phone that said a new version would have to be downloaded for the 45 day challenge to work. I went to the App Store to download, the new version, but the option was not available. Now about 20 minutes before bedtime, I logged into the App Store and an update was finally available. I am grateful for this app, however, I truly hope there is more of an investments made for the development to reduce the consistent glitches. I saw that there were almost 9000 people registered for the challenge. With the app being $45 a quarter. That’s well over $1 million. I imagine there are significantly more subscribers than that. Please do your users a favor and correct these consistent glitches with gratitude, a dedicated user.

  5. 1/5Could use some fixes…

I purchased this app last July and without any notification my subscription was renewed this year. I didn’t know it was going to be renewed automatically so I emailed to cancel it but they refused to refund me even though I hadn’t used it in many months, saying they had “delivered digital content” and that the renewal was “in the fine print” when I originally purchased it. I obviously did not know that so this is seems like a sneaky tactic to make more $ off unsuspecting people. I also wasn’t planning on renewing because I had numerous issues with the app; all of which I told them in reviews and in the various surveys they sent out. I never once received a follow-up or a response from them regarding these reviews. Funny thing is, after I reached out regarding cancelling my subscription, I received an email from them begging me not to cancel and with a 50% discount. Haha! Guess the only thing they care about is your $. Not what I expected from a trainer who is supposed to care about your health and fitness above all else. Two thumbs way down.
