   It’s our first time in Mexico and first time using this service. I learned welcome pickups just by browsing in the internet. Our assigned driver was Juan Carlos at 4am and he was very nice to really wait for us at the airport for pickup even it took us forever! My 12yr old son got dehydrated and dizzy and eventually fainted at the airport. My phone has no signal and can’t connect to the airports wifi either. Having a hard time to find a way to contact our driver. The security at the airport speaks no english. When my son was already ok to go, we decided to go outside and look for our driver but lots of car service. It’s like finding a needle in the middle of nowhere. I happened to talk to a lady in a taxi booth and asked if she could help me contact our driver and good thing she speaks and understands a little English. She contacted our driver Juan Carlos and there we able to find each other! I think he waited almost two hours and he’s still cool and nice conversing with him. 2. 2/5Started good, ended poorly

   If I could do 2.5 stars I would, because half the trip was great and the other half fell apart with driver issues and poor customer service. I booked a private transfer round trip from Naples to Positano and back. The booking was made a month in advance. Positano is a notoriously busy spot for transportation, which is why I made sure to book it far enough out. The first half of our trip from Naples airport to Positano went perfectly! The driver was on time, the car was clean, and he was very friendly and professional. Second half of the trip: After our stay in Positano, less than 24 hours before we were to take our transfer back to Naples, our other driver, that was confirmed 27 days before, cancelled on us. I knew it was going to be tough to find a new replacement. I tried reaching out to the driver via WhatsApp, who revealed accidentally he was giving a ride to someone else. Odd. So I tried reaching out to Welcome Pickups directly via their Help tab on their website. This was awful… the website and Help chat was so glitchy it kept refreshing the chat and I needed to start over several times. I gave up on that and eventually found their direct support email buried on their corporate website. I reached out to them and they could not help me find a new driver, and only informed me that our original driver “had an emergency” and to “rest assured, if we cancel your booking you will be refunded.” ?? Uh that doesn’t get me a transfer! Finding another service on less than 24 hrs notice in Positano is difficult. Thanks for that, Welcome Pickups. If you book a service like this a month out, you should honor your users’ accommodations.

3. 3/5Mixed Feelings

   I’ve got mixed feelings about this service. Let’s start with the kinds of cars that you get. On the app we were told that we would be getting a larger Mercedes Van to fit all of us and our large luggage that we were carting for a couple of weeks throughout Europe. When we landed in Vienna, we got a smaller Toyota SUV and when we got picked up there was a Toyota Prius that was a taxi. While I get this is a higher level of service that you don’t get from the average taxi service don’t promise me that I am getting a larger car and more like a private driver and switch it out to a taxi. Secondly, because they rely on taxis the reliability of your pick up is based on the country and the current conditions. In Vienna all was great and reliable (minus the swap out of the vehicle type). But we couldn’t get a pick up when we got to Rome because there was a taxi strike! And as a result everything got cancelled at the last minute so we would up walking the streets of Rome with our luggage in tow. Personally would have paid much higher price for a better ride and more reliable pick up and drop off (which is what we wound up doing in Rome through our hotel to ensure that we were able to catch our flight out without any stress). Overall not a horrible service, but not something that would keep the stress of summer travel to a minimum either. As long as you know what you are in for and have back up plans than I guess you’ll be ok with using this service.

4. 2/5Frustrating experience

   Update - after posting the review below, company reached out and refunded the payment. So, I am now giving two stars instead of one. It is frustrating that there is no way to contact customer service and only get a response after a negative review. I arranged a pickup at Charles de Gaulle I provided flight number and arrival time. While still in Seattle, flight was delayed. I sent a text to the driver via WhatsApp to notify we be an hour late - the process suggested by Welcome. I got no response. For some reason, the driver arrived an hour before the original scheduled time (as confirmed by email from Welcome). He waited two hours despite info from me and the airport flight was delayed. Driver then texted that he was waiting. I texted back that we were looking for him several times and got no response. Welcome has no customer service. A link on the app takes you to a list of articles. There is an IM option but multiple attempts to contact CS did not get a response. Eventually, the IMs disappear with no response from Welcome. So, this App will take your $80 for a pick up, not provide the service, and offer no way to resolve the issue. Total scam. This should be illegal.

5. 1/5DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

   We needed a larger vehicle for our luggage and we had to beat the airport at 0300. They confirmed our reservation. I never heard anything from them, so 12 hours before they were to pick us up, I contacted them. Of course you can’t just call someone,it has to be via messages that they “usually respond in less than 3 hours.” Really? We needed to know if we had a ride or not. I had to call them twice to find out what was happening. They supposedly were “working on it” and in the meantime there was a chance that we would miss our international flights. Since our reservation had been confirmed, we didn’t have a backup plan. When I called the second time, with just 5 hours left before we were to leave, she “just found out “ while we were talking that they couldn’t find a driver for us. And they just happened to send me a text while I was speaking with her that they couldn’t find a driver and we’re cancelling our reservation. So at 16:00 on a Sunday night, we had to find alternative plans. Don’t use this company. They are unreliable and won’t tell you until the last minute that you don’t have a ride.
