1. 1/5Fraud - complete fraud

   Update - this response from them is absurd. It’s like they think that when they get busy they don’t have to fulfill the contract they have. When I asked for a refund because they didn’t change my ticket under the flexible terms, they invented some requirement for me to mail them a receipt for the ferry I didn’t take and wanted me to somehow prove I bought a different ferry ticket. They are just total scam artists. They know they need to refund it but act like there’s all these hoops to go through to do it. I’m reporting them to the credit card company for fraud to get my money back. Every response from them is as bad as the day I tried to change my flexible ticket. Don’t bother with this app it’s total fraud. You are better to book directly with the different ferry lines. I bought the flexible pass option to be able to change my departure time and SURPRISE - when you go to change it the app makes you chat with a bot and then some sort of agent who says “sorry I can’t help you” and tells you someone will get in touch with you via email… this of course happens hours later after you needed to change your ticket. I’m filing a fraud refund request from my credit card company. Ferryhopper is not a legitimate app or business.

2. 1/5BEWARE IF THERE IS A PROBLEM, they will give awful resolution.

   Due to a fuel supply strike in Southern Italy, our ferry rides from Sorrento Positano were put in question. The website for the ferry company said. Ferry was canceled. I tried to book a different ferry through the “change trip” section on app, and FERRYHOPPER WOULD NOT confirm tickets on the substitute ferry!!! I chatted with them and they wouldn’t confirm it. So we decided to take a land trip instead at the last minute. After chatting with them for 45 minutes, agreed to give us all of our money back. Then guess what we get an email and they want to have us explain all over again what happened? My advice going forward, is use Ferryhopper as a resource for which ferries are going to work, then book directly with the ferry company. This is the worst customer service I’ve ever seen. UPDATE 28/OCT/2026 Ferryhopper replied here and said they were going to give a refund…but they didn’t ask for any information regarding my order. TOTAL LIP SERVICE!!!

3. 5/5Great for Croatia - has all the ferry lines

   This app was fantastic for Croatia ferries to the islands because it has ALL the ferry lines from one port to the next port in departure time order, and gives arrival times too. It also shows the prices up front, and from what I can tell charges the same price as going to the individual ferry line websites. Buying a ticket took just two minutes — I bought two tickets while running for a ferry!

   On September 1st, 2025, I booked a ferry from Sorrento to Capri and back through Ferryhopper for a 9:55 AM departure. The experience was a complete disaster. No ferry arrived at the scheduled time, and after waiting 30 minutes under the sun, I was told by Alilauro staff there was no 9:55 AM ferry—information I was never notified about. This left me and my husband stranded and unwell from the heat. To make matters worse, Alilauro staff laughed at me for having online tickets booked via Ferryhopper, which was humiliating. When I contacted Ferryhopper for a refund, they claimed the ferry operator denied it, stating the tickets were "used" and the trip operated—completely false, as no 9:55 AM ferry existed. Ferryhopper then deflected responsibility, telling me to deal directly with Alilauro, who in turn directed me back to Ferryhopper. This back-and-forth is unacceptable for a booking platform. As a third-party service, Ferryhopper failed to advocate for me or ensure clear communication from the operator. Their customer service was unresponsive and unhelpful, leaving me out of pocket and frustrated. I strongly advise against using Ferryhopper—book directly with ferry operators to avoid such chaos and poor support.

5. 1/5Horrible Customer Service

   I booked tickets for a ferry from Corfu to Sarandë for hours after my flight would land but my flight ended up being delayed so I contacted support to change the tickets. I was told that they would contact the ferry company and try to change to the next day for me and that I would receive an email update. Hours later I never received an email update so I went back to the chat, I could see that the person who helped me was online within the last 15 minutes so I went ahead and asked if there was any update. I saw that they read my message, I went out of the app to check my email to come back to see that the chat was no longer there. The employee must have deleted. The integrity of their support employees is really questionable so much that I don’t want to use the app ever again. I was able to call the ferry company myself once in Greece from the hotel phone and they changed it no problem.

   The vessels tracking is not accurate at all. In reality, it is totally misleading. Other than that, booking a trip is easy and good

   Καλή για τα εισιτήρια αλλά μέχρι εκεί. Μην τύχει να πέσεις στην ανάγκη τους για κάποιο πρόβλημα ούτε στην δευτέρα παρουσία δεν θα απαντήσουν!
