4/5Poor service on employer 401k Roth account
I am not eligible to contribute to Roth this year, and face a substantial penalty. I called in to withdraw the funds for medical hardship a week ago, and have received no emails or messages in my Voya app to provide the documents that were needed. I was told on the phone you would send me the forms that I needed to fill out to withdraw my funds. I haven’t heard a dang thing since. This is horrible service on my account, what is going on with you guys? If I could withdraw all my money and use someone else I definitely would, but I’m trapped here with you, just wishing and hoping you will follow through on your commitments. I would have to have to escalate this to a better business bureau or attorney general complaint just to make you do your jobs.

1/5Useless O/L app. and support!
I’m attempting to change my monthly distribution and request a withdrawal. The “assistant” is useless and misdirects to totally disassociated pages. IE : I questioned how I can change my monthly distribution amount and the response was how to change my EMail address! I finally got to the option to request an amount for distribution and the “amount available “ was shown. I input the requested amount ( at then less than the available) and I got a message “invalid “. Multiple amount, dollar sign shown/not shown, and nothing worked other than the invalid message! Why have the option and app if it’s useless. connected with ziL customer assistance and was told I have to call to do what I wanted . Wasn’t that a real person with access to my file and still no help?! Useless, difficult to navigate, and not a recommended financial organization since customer needs can’t be met yet I can use online AI to get anything I need done! You need a drastic upgrade!

I used to rely on the Voya iOS app, but the latest changes have made it incredibly frustrating to use. Face ID technically works, but it still asks for my login credentials right after, which defeats the entire purpose of using Face ID in the first place. Then, after logging in, it often asks me to verify again when I try to access different parts of the app. It feels like you’re constantly being forced to prove who you are just to do basic tasks. On top of that, the interface has completely changed and not for the better. Things that used to be easy to find now feel buried or moved around. Even worse, many actions just redirect you to the website instead of letting you complete them in the app. If I wanted to use the website, I wouldn’t bother opening the app at all. Overall, the app feels less functional than before and more like a portal that pushes you to the website rather than a fully usable mobile experience. Hopefully they fix the login loop and bring back actual in-app functionality.

1/5A Retirement App That Makes Retirement Hard to Monitor
Extremely displeased would be an understatement!!! I gave the VOYA app a 1-star rating because it makes it unnecessarily difficult to see and track my retirement investments. Basic information like my account balance, daily performance, and portfolio changes should be easy to find, but instead they’re buried behind multiple menus and screens. As an investor, I want a clear, straightforward view of my money and how it’s performing from one day to the next. The current user experience feels confusing, outdated, and frustrating. Want to track your funds, nope - you get a pdf of last months returns. The most important feature of a retirement app is being able to quickly see and understand your money. Unfortunately, the VOYA app fails at that basic task. My balance, performance, and account details are hidden behind layers of navigation, making it difficult to track my investments. I shouldn’t have to go on a scavenger hunt to find out how my retirement account is doing. The app needs a much simpler and more transparent user experience.

5/5Great App, user friendly planning tool
Pro’s: Easy set up Biometric login Intuitive User Interface Allows for input to give retirement health overview Simple display Reminder of goals Accurate rate of return calculation Con’s: Inaccurate plan contribution limit- allow users to adjust Does not display split of contributions and deposits Display of rate of return is hard to understand Overall an excellent app. Easy to use, interface uses standard menus & icons for apps. It is not a replacement for a professional retirement planner or professional level planning seminar, but is a nice tool for you to input other pension and savings figures to provide a snapshot of where you are in relation to your retirement goals. It updates each day the market is open between 10 PM and 11 PM eastern time. So many people don’t understand risk, and the projected rate of return for the planning section is really nice, it gives a simple display of risk that changes as you slide from a low return to a higher return. Of course I want 8% a year, but it gives an easy to understand display of the risk. I am mildly frustrated with the incorrect contribution limit in the planning or set up section. It only allows for a 15% maximum which it states is “your plan maximum contribution limit.” This is about 10 years out of date or more. It would be a simple change to allow the user to enter contributions. I am using the catchup provisions and contributing $26,000. It would be nice to include that.

          "body": "I used to rely on the Voya iOS app, but the latest changes have made it incredibly frustrating to use. Face ID technically works, but it still asks for my login credentials right after, which defeats the entire purpose of using Face ID in the first place. Then, after logging in, it often asks me to verify again when I try to access different parts of the app. It feels like you’re constantly being forced to prove who you are just to do basic tasks. On top of that, the interface has completely changed and not for the better. Things that used to be easy to find now feel buried or moved around. Even worse, many actions just redirect you to the website instead of letting you complete them in the app. If I wanted to use the website, I wouldn’t bother opening the app at all. Overall, the app feels less functional than before and more like a portal that pushes you to the website rather than a fully usable mobile experience. Hopefully they fix the login loop and bring back actual in-app functionality.",

          "body": "Extremely displeased would be an understatement!!! I gave the VOYA app a 1-star rating because it makes it unnecessarily difficult to see and track my retirement investments. Basic information like my account balance, daily performance, and portfolio changes should be easy to find, but instead they’re buried behind multiple menus and screens. As an investor, I want a clear, straightforward view of my money and how it’s performing from one day to the next. The current user experience feels confusing, outdated, and frustrating. Want to track your funds, nope - you get a pdf of last months returns. The most important feature of a retirement app is being able to quickly see and understand your money. Unfortunately, the VOYA app fails at that basic task. My balance, performance, and account details are hidden behind layers of navigation, making it difficult to track my investments. I shouldn’t have to go on a scavenger hunt to find out how my retirement account is doing. The app needs a much simpler and more transparent user experience.",

          "body": "Pro’s: Easy set up Biometric login Intuitive User Interface Allows for input to give retirement health overview Simple display Reminder of goals Accurate rate of return calculation Con’s: Inaccurate plan contribution limit- allow users to adjust Does not display split of contributions and deposits Display of rate of return is hard to understand Overall an excellent app. Easy to use, interface uses standard menus & icons for apps. It is not a replacement for a professional retirement planner or professional level planning seminar, but is a nice tool for you to input other pension and savings figures to provide a snapshot of where you are in relation to your retirement goals. It updates each day the market is open between 10 PM and 11 PM eastern time. So many people don’t understand risk, and the projected rate of return for the planning section is really nice, it gives a simple display of risk that changes as you slide from a low return to a higher return. Of course I want 8% a year, but it gives an easy to understand display of the risk. I am mildly frustrated with the incorrect contribution limit in the planning or set up section. It only allows for a 15% maximum which it states is “your plan maximum contribution limit.” This is about 10 years out of date or more. It would be a simple change to allow the user to enter contributions. I am using the catchup provisions and contributing $26,000. It would be nice to include that.",
