  1. 4/5Great concept with a lot of potential!

VocalMe is a fun and impressive app, and for certain voice types—like mine—it works almost perfectly. The voice conversion is smooth, and it’s enjoyable to experiment with different vocal styles. However, I do think the app could benefit from more customization options. It seems to struggle when crossing gender lines—like using a male voice to cover a female artist’s track or vice versa. Adding a voice profile setup (e.g., selecting male/female, vocal range, etc.) during the training phase could really improve accuracy and reduce distortion. One of my friends wasn’t able to get good results with their voice at all, so it seems hit or miss depending on the individual. That said, for the price, it’s a solid app with tons of fun potential. I hope the developers keep updating it with more voice options and refinements—it’s definitely headed in the right direction!

  2. 4/5Best way to use this for custom voice

Using custom voice, The longer the audio sample the better is what I have found. I used both singing and talking in one custom voice sample. If you have Moises you can take audio and seperate tracks into vocals only and get better samples for your custom voice. If you are uploading a file, you can stitch someone singing and talking into the same file. I used KineMaster for that. I also recommend adjusting the pitch of whatever song you are trying to use the ai on to match the pitch of your sample voice. I used Moises for that. I had better results that way. Sounded clearer and it pronounced words better, even mid song when they may start talking. After trail and error I’ve been getting some good results using this method. My only complaint is I have to turn my vpn off to use this app.

  3. 1/5In my opinion, this is just a company that wants to spy and collect biometric data on you

In my opinion, in my opinion, only this app and the company behind it are only interested in one thing collecting your information in your data, including your biometric data such as your face so they can use it with face recognition software. It will not let me progress even beyond the first initial introduction without giving a photograph of fresh photograph of my face. When I allow you to use any other photo, even though it gives you an option, they just want access into your photos although they will not allow you to use a different photo without consistently coming up that there’s been a data error. try again they wanna collect your face in my opinion and all the information they can so they can sell it and use it to benefit them and possibly even cause you harm in my opinion and all of this is my opinion only I would stay away from this app and from this company it may actually be extremely dangerous for you!

  4. 2/5Was pretty cool… most recent update Ruined it :(

I had this for a couple months to experiment, and at first it was pretty good. I found it needed some good examples from your voice to create the soundalike, but overall it would get you the song and also the stems. A couple months ago, that feature is Gone- you now have to ‘screen record’ and it won’t give you an MP3 or WAV file- you have to download the ‘video’ and then run it through an online mp3 converter- but again, you can’t grab the stems like before. By the time you’ve run it through an mp4 to get an mp3, the quality has gone down a lot. Also, I downloaded the app for both my phone and computer with a year subscription. I had to pay twice to upload my vocal sample, once on my phone and once on my computer even with the same log in. No one responded to me when I reached out. I’d say this is a fad app, and I am positive there are better ones available.

  5. 1/5Waste of $5…

Much as I know this review is likely to be buried by fake reviews and bots this is just genuinely awful. Saw it advertised a ton while doomscrolling and figured it was worth looking at, downloaded then immediately got a paywall shoved in my face. Whatever that’s typical for apps like this, I see option for a trial and click it because I’m so used to trials being free and letting you see if the app is worth putting that money into a subscription. The trial is not free, it’s a discount, but much as when you read you can see that, it’s format is exactly like free trials so one half minded click it’s way to miss it. Usually easy to catch too but this time apple Face ID saw me and charged me the $5. That’s not the apps fault but it doesn’t help the overall experience either. I figured whatever that’s annoying and I lost $5, but maybe the app will be decent enough to make it worth it, even if just for the week. nope, it decided to give me a Nordic accent from absolutely nothing, making my voice completely unrecognizable and the song sound awful. Maybe certain voice types could work with this app just fine, and mine is just not one of them. But offering a free trial even if it’s only for one song could help a ton, I know does Ai cost money to keep servers running so if too much revenue would be lost then make people watch ads while waiting for their free song. Better than spending $5 only to feel cheated and gipt. So consumers beware of the ways to press button that gives them money, and the chance for it to butcher your voice. And devs maybe offer a free trial of some sort.
