1. 4/5Limited worlds abound

   You get realistic protagonist singing for 9 seconds or less. You can jiggle your shoulders or breathe or clench your fists but not much else. Then you will get the protagonist appearing in front of a scene. 4 seconds to 8 seconds. Not a whole lot of interaction. No way to change a wrong. System has a mind of its own. Even though I had a profile it gave me a random girl with a ponytail, the a random guy in shorts. After 4 attempts I got one I figured went sort of with the story. My advice is just live with it even if you have three hands or turn around and have a different face. Or have horns in every other scene. Even if you are hilariously driving the wrong way facing backwards as the scenery goes forward. You won’t get your way. CWA Computer Wins Again. Fun program to play with. Totally ignores my song. I tried over and over to get the song to show the ocean where the song said “ ocean”. Got it sort of close after 4 or 5 tries. That’s where all my credits go. Can’t have it your way. this isn’t Burger King. But I do have fun with it. I can see the time where I’ve gone through everything it can do and move on. My biggest peeve is nothing is 10 seconds long that I can use as a hook. One more second. Come on guys.

   If you’re considering Sondo as an AI video generation tool for anything beyond casual fun, it is not quite ready yet. The app has real potential, especially for turning music into quick videos, but it needs several more rounds of serious development before the current pricing feels justified. Lip-sync remains one of the biggest weaknesses. Characters’ mouths often fail to match the vocals properly. Sometimes the alignment looks decent, but more often the AI adds random or mismatched movements that pull attention away from the performance. On the visual side, the output frequently feels like a blend of two or three different generation models, with noticeable hallucinations, artifacts, and inconsistencies running through the entire video. It can be entertaining to experiment with, but it does not reach professional or even semi-professional quality. For pure entertainment, you can usually get better or more controllable results by creating individual clips or images with something like Grok’s video tools and then stitching them together yourself, often at a lower effective cost. The credit system also feels expensive for the output you receive. A single music video can consume around 1,500 credits, while lower-tier plans provide far fewer credits than that burn rate would suggest (for example, base plans around $10 for 800 credits, higher ones $30 for 3,000). If they reduced the entry price to about $9.99 per month and increased credits to something closer to 6,400, it would offer much stronger value. That kind of change could attract far more casual users, generate more revenue, and speed up the development of needed upgrades. Bottom line: Keep an eye on Sondo and check its progress in a year or two. It has the potential to become genuinely useful. For now, I would hold off on subscribing unless you are only dabbling for amusement and do not mind the current rough edges.

   I’ve made nine videos with Sondo, and every single one of them has had the same problem: it can’t keep my identity consistent. I upload a picture of myself — a clear, accurate photo — and somehow the system still turns me into a white guy at different points in the videos. There’s no excuse for that. If I’m giving the platform my actual face, how does it depict me as anything else? The lip‑syncing is always off, the movement never matches the rhythm, and the overall animation feels sloppy. But the worst moment was in a video I made for my daughter. A personal, emotional song — and instead of showing me, the Black father she knows, the video randomly morphs into a sobbing white man. That’s not just inaccurate. It’s disrespectful. On top of all that, fixing their mistakes costs extra. Every correction, every regeneration, every attempt to fix what their system broke requires more money. I bought the subscription thinking it would give me flexibility, but the second I tried to adjust anything, I hit paywalls. And when I asked for a refund? They refused. My entire experience with Sondo has been frustrating, expensive, and honestly disappointing. I strongly urge anyone considering it to stay away. It’s not worth the money, the time, or the disrespect that comes with being misrepresented in your own art. I don’t see where I could add photos but if I could I certainly would.

4. 1/5THIS APP IS A REAL SCAM READ ALL THE BAD REVIEWS

   I WISH I READ ALL THE BAD REVIEWS BEFORE I downloaded this app with hopes I could create a music video for a song I wrote. PLEASE READ THIS I WONT LIE TO YOU. Once signed into this app it wants you to pay for a week. Like $6 and some change; only to get a few credits to work with( less than 100). Not enough to make a video with these credits I closed the app out. The next week it was $9.99, still not enough to create the music video I even tried to change a few things to make it use less credits…. Nothing still. By this time I was annoyed and frustrated that I got scammed into paying $9-10 for NOTHING. Don’t even think about emailing SUPPORT THEY WONT REPLY! The next week after that, another $9.99 was taken from me and still could not create 1 video. After I had reached out 2 times to the support emails they had on the app-nothing still. I Went through apple to refuse a refund only to say it wasn’t eligible for one. Please beware of apps that charge and you can’t reach them for support or worse can’t get what you paid for.

   One Star Deeply Disappointed It takes a great deal for me to describe a product this bluntly but this app earns it The pricing model is not merely expensive it is aggressively disproportionate to the value provided Users are funneled toward high cost subscriptions before having any meaningful opportunity to evaluate functionality quality or legitimacy There is no substantive demonstration of capability no transparent breakdown of deliverables and no defensible justification for the financial demand Charging premium rates without premium substance is not bold innovation it is exploitation of trust What is most troubling is the opacity You are asked to invest first and discover later if there is anything to discover at all That is not how ethical software operates A confident product invites scrutiny This one avoids it An app that commands high tier pricing must meet high tier standards Clear feature transparency Verifiable performance Trial access or demonstrable output Measurable value None of those standards are convincingly met here At best this feels unfinished At worst it feels strategically structured to monetize curiosity rather than deliver substance Consumers deserve clarity They deserve proof before payment They deserve a product that respects their intelligence Until transparency accountability and genuine value are implemented I cannot recommend this app and I strongly caution others to approach it with skepticism Disappointed Informed Unwilling to normalize this model

   Very disappointed. I subscribed expecting a usable AI video generator, then had to buy additional credits just to create a single video. The result was only a few very short clips that weren't remotely worth the cost. The quality fell well below my expectations, and I cancelled my subscription immediately. I cannot recommend it based on my experience.

   yearly plan is easily assumed to mean you'll get something of substance for the year. I assumed wrongly that I would get an allowance of credits a month for the year. its 8000 for the whole year that get eaten up quickly if you use it as advertised. using suno songs to make videos is as advertised. yet 1 song will cost 1000- 2000 credits depending on length. in hindsight and 3 songs processed and now out of credits I full regret what now feels like a rip off.
