5/5Excellent service
We used veo on a recent vacation to DC. Very easy to use, convenient, economical. Highly recommend buying one of the packages or whatever they call them where you prepay for a certain number of minutes and it covers all the locking and unlocking. We used the bikes all day for $30 for 2 bikes. Just grab one wherever you see it, then leave it when you get to your next destination. I had one die on me mid ride, I stopped the ride and sent a quick message to veo just to make sure they knew it was dead, and they credited me back the full value of the ride up until it died, which I though was excellent service. Then it was only a 5 minute walk to pick up another. We saw their van multiple times throughout the day swapping bikes and batteries so it wasn’t just a mess of discarded useless bikes everywhere - if you see one it’s ready to go. Again, highly recommend this app/service for tourists.

2/5Good, until it’s not…
This idea is great and I’ve been using it for a couple of months and it’s worked great. Until that wasn’t the case. I use this to go up a hill which leaves pretty me sweaty and tired even before getting to work, so this was a blessing. The problem, and it’s not a big one until it happens to you, is that it doesn’t tell you when you click on it through the app when the bike is defective UNTIL you unlock it, and it also applies the first minute. Which means that I just lost over 1 dollar if it happens, it’s annoying if it happens once, it’s a problem if it happens twice, and it’s something that has happened to me three times in a row on different occasions. The app has the ability to unlock the ride but not to tell you when it is defective which is something that the bike itself can do, so I don’t understand why that’s a thing unless the company is just so hungry for money that the app will tell you the location, the battery and more info on the bike live, except when it’s defective. If this is not fixed I’m more than willing to go back to walking up that hill and saving money that way rather than investing it on a ride without even knowing if I’ll be able to use the ride that I paid for beforehand in the first place and definitely won’t be recommending this to anyone else. Have a good day.

2/5Poorly maintained vehicles.
When VEO arrived in my area they serviced the cycles much better than they do now. The cycles were upright on the sidewalk. Now the cycles can be found laying all over the neighborhood. Are the kickstands working as the fleet gets older? From the rides that I have taken I can tell the cycles are not maintained well. Maybe it was never about maintenance and just that the fleet was new arrival. We have never had more than one or two scooters appear in this area. If you want a scooter you have to ride Lime or Bird. Both of which made a fly-by-night appearance. It was nice to have an option to VEO that routinely charges you for vehicles that do not travel anywhere. Then you have to ask for your money back. Can’t tell you the number of times the throttle was broken and I got charged when gos cannot show a vehicle moving anywhere. VEO declined quickly. It shows no improvement. If they have not added the dark mode to the app that it had before I doubt their small Ui improvements are going to be large enough to make a positive difference. I am still waiting to get my credits when parking in a “lucky” zone. That does not seem to happen unless you mention it. In the spirit of ending on a good note,I have gotten my money back for unjust charges.

1/5Worst electric scooter/bike rental company ever
Do yourself a favor and avoid products from this company at all costs! Otherwise, you will be stuck far from your desired location with no way back. Three of us wanted to rent scooters and ride around downtown Pensacola for an hour or so. It took a long time and many attempts to even get the process started. We should have taken that as a sign and just walked away. The group ride feature simply didn’t work and we had to each load the app, upload liscences and credit cards before getting started. The first 10 minutes or so was fun riding along near Maritime park. Then, the app on my fiancé’s phone crashed, causing his bike to stall out and he could not get it to work again, even after reloading everything and attempting to start all over again. I was able to get him added to my ride and the next few minutes were ok, until the same thing happened to my son. He was able to get his started up again (after paying the 1$ activation fee) until his deposit ran out and there is no way to just load more funds mid-ride. He was effectively cut off 2-3 miles from our starting point and, even after adding more funds, could not get his bike to reactive. Nor could I add hi To my ride. Trying to fix this, the other 2 bikes decided to shut down, even though I was still being charged by the second. And it took forever to “park” and officially shut down the bikes. Boy that time, we were all super frustrated and vowed never to use this company again. We ended having up having to get an Uber back to our car 2-3 miles away. DO NOT USE IF YOU ARE TRYING TO HAVE A NICE TIME. You will end up hating your decision

1/5Bike percentage/mileage is WAY OFF, customer service is terrible! Bronx, NYC
I’ve had multiple experiences where the bike says 100% or above 60% and it turns on, great! And then, 2 or 3 blocks later it will completely shut off or the throttle will stop working. And does Veo give me another ride or credits to replace that? Nope… because I should’ve checked that the bike was working??? It was working and then it randomly stops, lights shut off or the lights are on and the throttle is completely useless. This is their dumb reply when you try to get credit back. Oh, and a few times too I will check on the app and it will say the bike has 0%. Zero percent! And after showing that to customer service I always get this dumb reply. “Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, this ride is not eligible for a refund or adjustment, as it left its starting location. Only rides that do not leave their starting location are eligible for a refund or adjustment.” Veo, you are terrible. I’m going to use the rest of my ride credits, about $15 and leave your unreliable bikes and terrible customer service. TLDR: Veo bikes are unreliable if you need a reliable service I honestly recommend Lime. I have never had a single issue with Lime. This is a review for Bronx, NYC
