5/5Awesome app
this app is totally worth the small price it asks for. The built in configurations are amazing and all expertly thought out, all of them feel responsive. The ability to create your own presets and experiment with all of the available features is awesome. There are an infinite number of combinations and it leads to never having two similar experiences. Unless of course you want to make similar concepts. I personally use this app to clear my head when I’m feeling anxious. It’s very stimulating and captivating. Definitely an easy way to pass 10-15 minutes.

5/5So much fun! Please update soon!!!
I love this app. It is probably my favorite way to play with color digitally. Little ones think it is magic. I love being able to save images and use them for a whole host to purpose. They print beautifully. I would like the ability to adjust background color. Hopefully that is something that can come up in a future update. Speaking of that. I hope there is an update soon. I would really hate to see this one fall win iPadOS advances. I see that the developers website has also gotten dark. I’m hoping maybe he’s just in a really organizing phase and comes back to this wonderful little bit of magic we all enjoy so much. I would legit pay a subscription to keep being able to have it supported.

5/5Outstanding! I have a request.
Uzu is absolutely brilliant! Love it! Thank you for making it sound reactive (I’m one of the people who requested that). My request: Please please please extend Uzu to the Apple Watch. I realize that much of its UI, like creating custom presets, wouldn’t exist on the watch, and if the preset list is too cumbersome it could just go with whichever one is currently selected on the paired iPhone. Turning the crown could bring up the options (autoplay, screenshot, sound react, etc.). If the watch’s processor is not up to the task, put a ceiling on the number of particles that is goverened by what cpu the app encounters (more on the series 9, less on the series 5, etc). Having Uzu ever-present on one’s wrist makes it THE watch fidget for those of us who need fidgets for anxiety (haptics would enhance that aspect). A adult could trigger 3-4 behavior changes on the small screen, and my 2yo granddaughter (who’s fascinated with my Apple Watch already anyway) could probably fit 5-6 fingers, squealing with delight. If you want to make putting it on the watch a premium feature, I would definitely pay a fat one-time in-app purchase for that. Thank you for considering it. I sincerely hope you go for it.

5/5Limitless Visual Possibilities
This app is a great way to experiment with all kinds of visuals and endlessly tweak settings to your heart’s content. It can respond to multi-touch inputs, and/or sound. It would be interesting if future features could include: * Adjustable sound responses (I.e. frequency ranges) * other phone sensors might be integrated into the app such as phone orientation (xyz accelerometers) * camera (detecting head/mouth motion/hand gestures) * MIDI input (responding to configurable note values and remote knob values for remote manipulation during live performance). However, this app has not been updated for over 3 yrs at the time of writing this, so it’s unclear if it will evolve beyond its current state - which is still very impressive.

5/5Now I get it!!
Great visual entertainment! However, where are the instructions about how to save your own formula? I press + to add a new title, but then if I press Done and then make changes in the design parameters and color choices, they don't "Save". What's step one, then step 2, etc. Thanks for your quick response! 👏👏👏 After I wrote the review I thought, maybe it works in an opposite way to what I thought. So I chose a preset that I liked but wanted to tweak. It worked! Love that the user can create their own. It would have saved a lot of time & frustration, however, if a brief paragraph of instructions were included. Hoping you'll consider adding one next update. Changing my 3 🌟 🌟 🌟 to 5 now that I know how to do my own presets. Thanks again!

* Fixed memory leak bug. - Thanks to everyone who downloaded Uzu so far. I'm currently working on auto-play, motion controls, and VGA out support for the next versions. Stay tuned!

1.1
*Added auto-play mode *Added external display support (VGA Out) *Added instructions page **An update has already been submitted to address the reported crashing with version 1.1 Thank you for your patience. :::: AUTO-PLAY CONTROL :::: Auto-play allows you to sit back and enjoy Uzu's animations without needing to touch the screen. Auto-play mode randomly cycles through the different animation modes, simulating the movement of fingers across the screen. You can even interact with Uzu's "virtual" fingers by touching the screen while in auto-play mode. Up to 4 fingers can be used to interact with auto-play mode - at 5 fingers, auto-play mode is deactivated. *To Enable Auto-Play: Give Uzu a quick front-to-back shake. *To Disable Auto-Play: Touch the screen with 5 fingers. *To Switch Auto-Play Modes: Shake Uzu again while auto-play is enabled. During auto-play, animation modes will randomly switch and change. If you interact with auto-play mode by touching the screen, the current animation mode will stay locked until you release. In effect, the random switching of modes during auto-play is temporarily suppressed while touching the screen. If the combination of your touches and Uzu's touches are greater than 10, the animation mode starts again at 1 Touch. :::: EXTERNAL DISPLAY SUPPORT :::: You can watch Uzu on an external screen (TV, monitor, projector, etc…). To use an external display, simply plug in the the external display adapter (available for purchase on-line and in stores). Uzu will be shown on the external display, allowing you to use the iPad as a controller. This is great to use at social gatherings in conjunction with the auto-play mode. *If you like Uzu, make sure to check out Little Uzu for the iPhone/iPod Touch. http://itunes.apple.com/app/little-uzu/id386764406?mt=8

This update includes high frame rates, slow motion, and microphone audio responsiveness. In order to make high frame rates possible I had to rewrite all of the animation modes to support a variable time scale. I was then able to use this variable time scale to respond to audio from the microphone. There is a slider in the options panel that allow you to adjust the microphone sensitivity. Thank you so much to all the people who continue to download and support this app. - Support for high frame rates. Uzu will now use the maximum frame rate of the device. This means 60fps for iPhone and iPad and 120fps for iPad Pro. - Introduced "Time Scale" property slider that allows you to adjust the speed of the animations without changing the overall shape. See Uzu in slow mo! - Renamed "Speed" to "Energy". This was done to help differentiate the two properties for affecting the overall speed. - Uzu now reacts to audio from the microphone. When this mode is enabled, Uzu maps the mic levels to the "Time Scale" property. - Added mic button to quick action menu. - The quick action menu now hides when touching the screen. - The quick action menu hides after a shorter period when not touching the screen. - Added a slider in the options panel to adjust microphone sensitivity. - Fixed a number of UI bugs where text would be the wrong color.
