1. 5/5It’s worth it! Just try it!

   I got this app on a whim. I had a desire to improve my habits and stop feeling so drained and bloated all the time. I am so glad that I went for it. Great recipes and an easy to follow meal plan that is completely customizable and adjustable. The water intake tacker, fasting timer, calorie counter, and weight tracker has been great for keeping me on track with my goals even with a busy and varying work schedule. So far I’ve lost 6lbs without doing any of the suggested exercises due to my job being very physically demanding already. I feel the best I’ve ever felt physically, even mentally and emotionally. I fit in my clothes better and I’m way less bloated. I used to rely on energy drinks to get me through the day. Now I don’t need them. In fact, I’ve noticed that since I’ve made the changes to my diet, I cannot tolerate the food or drinks that I used to consume on a daily basis. I didn’t realize just how bad I felt until I started to feel the impact of the positive changes I’d made. We all need to have self discipline to maintain a lifestyle change. However, this app makes making those changes easy and enjoyable.I’ve gotten so many compliments and encouragement from friends and family since they’ve noticed the impact it’s had on me. They point out things to me that I didn’t even notice until they mention it. It’s been a great confidence booster. I recommend it to anyone that wants to make a change in their habits and lifestyle and enjoy the benefits of those changes (less bloating, weight loss, improved energy and mood, etc). Just give it a shot! Stick with the program and see where it takes you.

   I purchased this app and subscription to help with meal planning. I went through all of the questions to get my meal plan, but of course I couldn’t actually see the meal plan or a sample meal plan until I purchased a subscription. So I purchased the meal plan subscription, turns out the meal plan and the way the meal plan works wouldn’t work for me and my needs. I realized this within an hour of purchasing the subscription. I reached out and requested to cancel the subscription and asked for a refund, with an hour of my purchasing it. After approximately two weeks, I received an email asking for more information on why I am asking for the refund, even though that was in my initial refund request, I provided it. Then a day or two later I received an email stating that they would not be refunding my money as my reason for refund was not within their refund policy. I asked for my situation to be escalated and they refused stating the answer would be the same but that I can keep using the subscription- that doesn’t work for me - since I paid for it. I don’t want the subscription or the additional time. I want my money refunded. I requested the refund within an hour of purchasing it. That should be enough, but the fact I couldn’t see the plan prior to purchase to see if it would work for me, is poor business practice. I will not use their services and will make sure I leave reviews where I can, warning people of possible predatory business practices.

3. 1/5I wasn’t surprised which is a shame

   The sign up process is incredibly cryptic and finds ways for you to easily sign yourself up for up to 10x the prices of an initial membership without warning until they send you an invoice. I tried to sign up for the $13 per month plan, the app suggested I try fasting and the button simply said “give it a try”. Well that was a $20 per month button undisclosed by the screen insisting I try it. Thereafter Unimeal will not refund you that money even if you immediately contact them about it and explain that you had no intention of agreeing to that additional fee. This is theft by everyone’s definition but their own as they will defend themselves to the bitter end that it’s their money fair and square now. Do not use this app unless you have an extra $300 a month in disposable income because that’s what you’ll ultimately end up paying if you take trust anything that they put forward. I’m not surprised to find this same complaint on this review page by many other people with the same issue. Unimeal is a thief and they’ve capitalized on every bit of it. Like a child at a lemonade stand and when a $20 bill falls out of your wallet while grabbing a $1 they grab it and claim it as theirs now. The bright side of the entire ordeal is that this will not be difficult to win in a class action civil lawsuit.

4. 1/5Customer Service Ghosted Me

   I only purchased one month of Unimeals and after that month I stopped receiving notifications (I stopped using it almost immediately though bc this app is bogus, they don’t listen to which ingredients to avoid and they kept giving recipes that required tools I said I didn’t have access to). Anyways, I didn’t receive any further emails or notifications and didn’t think anything of it until I noticed that every month since they were taking about $30 out of my account. I contacted customer support who sent me their terms and refund policy (basically they won’t give one), however, they also said they’re required to send billing/subscription updates via email. I’ve received no such thing and had I, I would’ve caught and cancelled this much sooner. I pointed out to the customer service representative how they breached their own terms and then they ghosted me. It’s been about a week and I’ve followed up several times. Funnily enough, they started sending app notifications again. Unimeals this isn’t okay. Update: No, you advertise as a 4 Week Weight Loss Plan and then at the very far bottom of the page in small light gray letters, after flashy discount signs and bold empty promises, you guys say this is a subscription. Seeing as a lot of people have similar problems, I’m assuming this is how you guys make money since this app is more of a hassle than a benefit. I read your terms and conditions and which e-commerce laws you guys abide by and you’ve broken your own terms and conditions and the e-commerce laws you’re supposed to abide by. I pointed that out and suddenly you guys have nothing to say anymore. Interesting.

   I made the mistake of not reading the reviews and agreeing to a one week trial for $10. I downloaded the app and looked through it for less than 10 minutes. Shortly after, I received an email saying I was charged another $50 and that my subscription would automatically renew every month for $100. The price is a crime in itself, you guys are insane for that. But not only are they GROSSLY overpriced for what offer, they take your money without authorization. I emailed several times for a refund and the people who emailed back (talking to you, Jane, Jason, Arthur, Monica, Stella, if those are even your really names 🙄) and they all said the same thing. “We adhere to the highest ethical standards and prioritize transparency and trust in all our operations. We do not hide our rules or take any illegal actions that may affect users' experience or the Company's reputation.” IF that were the case, why did I read over 20!! 1 star reviews from customers that agreed to a one week trial and then were charged again another $50. Please tell me again how your rules are clear and ethical?? This company is a JOKE and a SCAM and honestly should be shut down. They refused to refund me until I got my bank involved. You should be ashamed of yourselves and I hope you all get diarrhea while stuck in traffic.
