  1. 4/5Tracking for GD

Not a bad app. Could be better in just a few areas. Not a deal breaker. 1) If I forget to select whether my glucose was fasting or non fasting in the glucometer at the time of testing, I’m able to go in edit that in the app after the fact, but it will not show the icon on the app as it would if I selected it from the glucometer device itself. It just appears like I forgot to enter it until I click into the entry, then I can see what I selected. 2) Since some of us are using a glucometer to test for gestational diabetes during pregnancy it would be nice be able to set parameters that the doctor specifies. For now, the only option is: Hypo, Lower Target and Upper Target. It’s very simplistic. Would have liked to see Fasting, Non-Fast parameter options. For fasting I need to be (less than) <95mg/dl and for non fast, I need to be (less than) <140mg/dl. I’m not sure how to adjust the parameters based on that with the current options. Maybe the company could reach back out to me about it.

  2. 4/5This app really isn’t as bad as people make it out to be

I really like this app…but syncing the meter to the app sometimes gives me issues…I usually just turn my meter off, exit out of the app completely, reconnect the app and turn on my meter and it connects without any issues…this app has a 120 day average blood sugar result which I never seen any other app go beyond 90 days…I love the graphs that displays all my information…this app does need some things though…like apple health integration, also a dark mode would be nice and a custom gallery background would make this app a 5 plus…in any case I really love this app and even though I have multiple meters with other apps…this one is in the top 5 for sure…but if you can add some of the things I am asking for…I would really appreciate it!

  3. 1/5App crashes EVERY time

This was good (even great) for the first week after downloading it. Was really helpful for me to see all of my blood sugar readings in one place and organized just how I like it— without having to remember jotting down every single one of my readings throughout the day. The Bluetooth connection was the next level feature I needed to motivate me to check more often because once my meter and iphone are connected and the results come flooding in, I do feel really proud of myself which is so important as a Type 1 that can’t catch a break with this disease. But, after the initial week of using this app, it CONTINUOUSLY CRASHES and it is the most frustrating thing EVER. As soon as you click on the app and it opens up to the home screen, the app closes out and you’re suddenly staring at your iPhone home screen. Even if you try closing and reopening the app, it does the same thing again and shuts down before downloading ANY blood sugar readings from the True Metrix meter. I had such high hopes for this app. Extremely disappointed.

  4. 3/5Has potential, just isn’t there yet

This app has a lot of potential, but unfortunately isn’t great as-is. It does what it says- syncs with the meter via Bluetooth, but that’s about it. It also doesn’t work with dark mode in iOS, which is really a pain. I have to keep changing my settings to use the app, but I digress... In my experience, most people who are monitoring blood sugar are also monitoring other health stats like weight, blood pressure, ketones, and tracking medications. This app doesn’t need to be able to do all that, but it would be great if it could share data with the apps we all already use to track that, like Apple Health. I eat Freahly meals and track my nutrition by syncing Apple Health with the Freshly App. My activity ring and watch syncs activity and heart rate with Apple Health. Being able to have this app share my readings with the Apple Health app would let me track all my readings and compare to nutrition data, weight, and blood pressure to make positive changes to address or prevent health issues.

  5. 1/5Poor to very low compatibility with iPhone iOS 14.1 and above

The app does not work with the apple updates or on the he iPhone 12 pro consistently. I have not been able to trans results from the meter to the app since several updates ago on the iOS system. The support team from Travidia has not been very helpful even indicating their meter and app do not work well with iOS and that they were not updating their system to solve the problem of poor to no compatibility with iOS. The way the travidia person told me to get their system to possibibly work made you go through several steps and then doors not work consistently. I have had to delete the app several times, reinstall, re pair and hope it works again. I am going to complain to the supplier and see if I can get a replacement earlier than scheduled so I can see how I am trending through a workable app. Travidia has not helped.
