4/5Repetitive Instruction
I love the app, the exercises and menu/recipes. The only issue I have is the repetitive instructions. It repeats about every 5 seconds until the workout is over and you hit the arrow for next workout. I do hit pause, but I really don’t like to, it helps me to follow along with the exercise. I don’t why it drives me nuts, but it does. The other issue is the reps don’t seem to be right when you’re working as or legs. There are 3 reps then goes on to next exercise. Maybe do 4 reps, 2 on each side? Or am I supposed to do both legs then rest then both legs again on next rep? Kind of hard to follow on certain exercise days.

1/5App Needs More Testing Before Production
The intent of this app is good but is very glitchy - seems as if the app is trying to do too much. Multiple people are having the same issues. Some issues are of basic features that should be caught if tested properly. I had the same issues as the other reviewers…a couple of issues from reviewers from over a year ago! It’s time consuming for users to have to help troubleshoot and if multiple user are reporting the same issue, maybe a quality control process would be helpful. I would pay for monthly or annual membership if the platform app was better. In my opinion, the app does not represent the quality that Joan and Michelle live. And I have tried to cancel the subscription yet it is still trying to renew and charge me.

4/5Great Exercise App for All Ages and Abilities
I love this app. I have followed Joan on IG and was so pleased to see this new app make her fitness program accessible, economical and easy to use. This app is great for any age person wanting to get into shape as there are multiple levels to start from, from a limited mobility program-all the way up to a higher fitness level program led by Joan’s daughter, Michelle. Joan is professional, encouraging and inspiring. Each workout is clearly well thought out and easy to follow at your own pace. There is also meal and nutrition advice and a message board for users that are both fantastic. As someone of middle age, it feels like most exercise programs are either too intimidating or too “cutesy” and end up pandering to perceptions of aging that are rather insulting. Not here! Very refreshing to a see positive role model instead of a negative aging stereotype. (I’m giving the app 4 stars only because there are a few video glitches that need to be sorted out by the developers. New app, so to be expected.)

2/5Disappointed
I jumped on TWJ bandwagon in February. Paid the introductory fee and started off with the Intermediate workout. Yes, there are three levels (Beginners, Limited Motion and Intermediate levels). I’ve been exercising for over 20 yrs.+ so I went with the intermediate level. 12 weeks of 6-7 day workouts, some repetitiveness but overall I learned some new exercises. The app itself is glitchy and not user friendly. I’ve brought this to the attention of support many times but still happens. The community is great (other TWJ members). Now that I finished the 12 week program what’s next? Apparently, that’s it…unless you do the challenge which is extra cost (and I refuse to pay addl $$$) to something I’ve paid well over $100 for a yearly subscription. There are plenty of free workouts/programs on the internet and Utube. I believe the program has potential but it needs more work, in my opinion. I know some members enjoy the program and have paid extra for the challenges. This program can be done at home but you’ll need exercise equipment (dumbbells, resistance bands, stability ball, plyo box or step). I think it’s great Joan turned her health around and is in the best shape of her life at 70+ years of age. One of the reasons I keep exercising is that I want to live a healthy life and not suffer from mobility issues as I age. I would recommend this program if they improve the app and add more workouts (variety of exercises and not repetitive exercises ) at no addl cost to their members. I wish TWJ the best..

5/5Women Building Strong Bodies
This APP is amazing. It is everything you need to know to transform your body, build muscle, increase strength, reset your mind and learn how to fuel your body through nutrition. You can do it at home with just a couple dumbells and fitness bands. No crazy jumping and feeling like you will passout. You can choose your fitness level and just keep progressing. Joan is such an inspiration and like she says "if she can do it, you can do it"!
